Yes, it does. The house is getting there.

Before my divorce, there was a time I stayed up for several days in a row. Each night I would go downstairs and sort through the totes on the shelves there. I even put up new shelving because I didn't like the looks of the old stuff. Then everything was in the same size tote, the same color, the same brand. I knew where everything was. A bit over the top, yes. Thankfully I'm not that bad now.

Well, balance is important.
When we can't control the things we want to, we control the things we can, in my experience.

Balance, yes.
An unrelated topic: Do you have any idea how to get an old card off the pages of a photo album without damaging the card?

What sort of adhesive is used? Is it taped in place or one of those 'magnetic' albums?

Glue, from over fifty years ago. Not the magnetic type pages, just a regular paper type album page. Two cards on each side of the page.

Apparently, putting the page in a freezer bag, expressing the air, freezing for 10 minutes and then gently prying the card from the paper is the way to go. The cold makes the old adhesive brittle.
One recommended solution for breaking the glue is a length of dental floss, gently sawed back and forth under the card.

The freezer I can try. I can't see the dental floss working though. If I pull on an edge, all it does is rip the paper. The glue isn't brittle. I don't know what my mother used but it's tough.
The cards are from my first birthday. A friend is turning sixty this coming spring, and his SO said one thing he asked for is old birthday cards . . . from the fifties. I have this album sitting here, doing nothing but taking up space. So I want to get some loose.

Would he be happy with a scanned image of said b-day card? That would likely be the safest route to not tear the paper.

All the other albums I have, my mother used the little corner tabs to slip the cards/photos into. As for the paper/album, it's just an old book cluttering up the closet.

I can't find any other methods for you to try, Lynn. I hope the freezer thing works.

Down in the jungle livin' in a tent - you don't use money you don't pay rent -
you don't even know the time but you don't mind...
Coffee is good today!
Later...

It's supposed to be 65 today and 73 by Thursday.
An interesting winter so far this year.

Well, winter seems to come as a bit of a surprise to various organisations over here.
For example:
We ran out of road grit & salt a year or two ago [it remains to be seen whether they've learned any lessons].
Then there's the "Health & Safety" mob who seem to think that the population no longer need to take some responsibility for their own actions (well, there's lawyers for all that, ain't there?)
It can make one simply give up and watch the fun.

Honey I'm home!
My "Golden L(ass)t " is tired.
(I'm almost too silly to be awake.)
Off for a sweet nap in a minute...

Grit and salt?
By the time they get around to sanding the bridges around here it's spring.
