It might happen, Virginia as a state is changing, the redneck, mostly rural state is changing dramatically, in part because of the influx of educated people into the northern half of the state, plus even in the rural areas the younger people are better educated and thanks to the internet and tv and the way it portrays gays, the future is going to be very different I suspect as the older, less educated people die off. Not saying virginia or any place like it is going to become the West Village of NYC in terms of tolerance and such, but even conservatives are realizing that the gay issue is a civil rights issue, that libertarian principles mean more then pleasing the bible thumpers.
