Life,
I am of both your directions
Existing more with the cold frost
Strong as a cobweb in the wind
Hanging downward the most
Somehow remaining
Those beaded rays have the colors
I've seen in paintings -- ah life
They have cheated you
Thinner than a cobwebs's thread
Sheerer than any -
But it did attach itself
And held fast in strong winds
And singed by the leaping hot fires
Life - of which at singular times
I am both of your directions -
Somehow I remain hanging downward the most
As both of your directions pull me.

Just how would Litsters rate her poetry?

O, Time
Be Kind
Help this weary being
To forget what is sad to remember
Lose my loneliness,
Ease my mind,
While you eat my flesh.

I can't say that I care for her poetry or musings, but she was certainly less vapid than her modern day counterparts. She must have had something going for her, at any rate; looks and fame aren't enough to attract so many with equal looks and equal fame.

From time to time I make it rhyme
but don't hold that kind
of thing
against
me -
Oh well, what the hell,
so it won't sell.
What I want to tell -
is what's on my mind:
'taint Dishes,
'taint Wishes,
it's thoughts
flinging by
before I die -
and to think
in ink.

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”

“When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm already better than them.”

Only parts of us will ever
touch parts of others –
One’s own truth is just that really — one’s own truth.

We can only share the part that is understood by another’s knowing acceptable to
the other — therefore so one
is for most part alone.

As it is meant to be in
evidently in nature — at best though perhaps it could make
our understanding seek
another’s loneliness out.

Thanks for the bump, I thought this thread would shrivel up and die without your input.

feel what I feel
within myself — that is trying to
become aware of it
also what I feel in others
not being ashamed of my feelings, thoughts — or ideas

realize the THING that
they are –

It's more likely to die as a result.

I'm about to post in the artful design thread. Will you take a look?

I'll take a gander but there is nothing more poetic than a positive Marilyn Monroe thread in a septic tank like this full of dog fuckers and whatnot.

Dog fuckers would be infinitely more interesting.

Leda fucked a swan, FFS!
