You need to click and save my link. Funny, great guests from Adam Carolla to Dana White to Howie Long to Terry Bradshaw. Plus fantastic segments about finance and romance.

I've got a bunch of short science ones at the top of my list:
StarDate
EarthSky
60-second space
60-second science
60-second health
Brainstuff.
Stuff You Missed in History Class can be great, depending on the topic
Skepticality is fun
The Moth Podcast is people telling personal stories, often hysterical.
Pritzker Military Library is VERY good. Interviews with living Medal of Honor winners (rare critters, them), historical military topics, all extremely well done.
The Daily Madden is fun. I love Madden, he says interesting things, and some very odd phrases.
They Signed, about the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Makes a great companion to The Thomas Jefferson Hour.
The International Spy Museum. They don't broadcast often, but it is good stuff.
The Oakland Raiders Finest Hour podcast. These guys actually talk football, not trash. Analyze the games, grade the players, and are generally informative. Unlike a couple of other podcasts I've listened to, where the hosts just seem to thing that cursing endlessly on a podcast makes them terribly hip.
I think I've got about 60 programs on my playlist. I don't listen to broadcast radio any more, and am much happier for it.

If you think Colin is bad, check out Mike Francesa sometime. You'll feel the need to hurt yourself.

Diane Rehn Show, she does great interviewing. So does Terry Gross on Fresh Air.
Wait Wait Don't Tell Me is fun.

This American Life is definitely a keeper.
I think the others were rougher for me because they were single subject interviews and I was not up to listening to Barbra Streisand for an hour.

Anandtech was unfortunately too technical for me, I wasn't learning, I was just listening to people talk about stuff I didn't learn anything about the stuff.
"Oh, and you guys know about the 4478KS series, right?" *knowing laughter*
No explanation of what the 4478KS series was (names of technical terms changed to protect their identities and also because I had no idea what they really were talking about.)
I loved Lifehacker.
I really liked Newshour, a good change on worldview.
Savage Lovecast was a little too rambly and ranty for me. Seems he picks something that bugs him at the beginning and goes off on a mini rant about...being nice to airplane personnel? I didn't have a good experience, might try again later.

I'll have to go back to the beginning. He's a little too manic for me in the episodes I got. Seems to be mainly interviews about stuff I don't really care about. I might be more interested if it were a little bit shorter and more compressed, but over an hour of it wasn't appetizing.

Also, Dan Carlins Hardcore History. It isn't updated often but when it is the show is long and informative and with different takes on historical events.

I liked both of these. I learned a lot about farming and Ghenghis Khan! Feeds my sense of random trivia.

Thank you! Going to check those out. I have always disliked radio for the commercials, and for some reason public radio irritates me more because they are just as intrusive as commercials in their guilt trips, plus their "endorsement" announcements are commercials anyway. Double irritation!
