My niece (21 years old) was married last Saturday in a ceremony to which I was not privy (she was raised LDS/Mormon, and married in a Mormon temple). Tonight I am to attend her "reception."
I don't want to go. I don't believe she made a wise choice in marrying so young. She gave up nursing school to get married. She gave up her youth to have sex, er, get married. Ugh. There are so many things I find wrong about this situation, I have no idea what to find "right" about it.
And yet, I will go.
Give me strength to hold my tongue.

It had nothing to do with the movie. I won several free tickets that expired soon. My daughter asked if I wanted to go today. She has time for friends. Rarely time for me. It wasn't about the movie. |

I submitted two stories today.
OK, one has been incomplete for 18 months, but the other was completely new, inspired by a thread in Fetish and Sexuality on Friday.
Now I need to submit at least one story a month in 2013. If I finish a quarter of the incomplete ones on my hard drive, I have enough to the end of 2015, and the other three-quarters will keep me writing beyond the end of the decade.
Perhaps drinking so much Christmas spirit has kick-started the Muses?
