Who do I think I am?

Who the hell am I? Well, the short answer to that is, I am me. You see the long answer is a convoluted mess. I am everything, I am everyone, but I am no one. I fit in anywhere and can be comfortable doing many things so that makes me rather unremarkable—so much so that you probably won’t notice me unless you were paying close attention.

So why did I start this thread? I don’t know. Maybe it is an attention grab, maybe it is a cry for help, maybe the voices in my head told me to start it, or it may be a way for me to try to reach out to others in here. As you can tell, I have been around here for a long time. I haven’t been very active. Why? I’m shy. No, that isn’t why. I just didn’t know where to start. How can a person like me that is such an average guy really compete with all the others in here? What do I have to offer? What makes me so special? How can I get people to open up to me, because of me?

Let’s try something a little different.

Well, I have been informed that I do have a special talent, my voice. No, I am not a singer, my speaking voice. I guess that makes two things I can do well with my mouth.

I will post a sample recording. It is just me, no special effects, no editing, just this man and his microphone. If you’d like more, I could record some more items and post them here for your listening pleasure. I think you would like that more than most of the photographs that I would take. Once we get to know each other better, I might be convinced to post a few other photos here. But to keep it in this thread I have posted a simple one of me.

The ball is in your court, so to speak. Let’s make this an open thread and let’s have a conversation. Ask me whatever you want and I will answer as best as I can. I promise that I won’t play any mind games.

Music is a driving force in my life. It fuels my passion, my sadness, my energy, and my rage.
I listen to all sorts of music for many reasons. My favorites connect with me on some sort of emotional level. I can listen to many things and like it, not be moved by it, and just go on. However, if I hear a song and the emotion of it hits me, and especially if the emotion that the song is conveying matches my current state, it will forever be a favorite of mine.

I will admit that I do have a bi-curious side, but that has never been acted upon. I think that is because of the mind-set of when I grew up. Even though male-male relationships are not that big of a deal now, 20 years ago that was an easy way to be ostracized.

Would I engage in a little male-male bonding? Well, my wife would have to approve and included. (hell, that is the only way that me having any sort of sexual relationship would have to be--male or female).

hmm, I may have to do that. But possibly will need to wait until Fishnet Friday
