The Guardian immediately answered Lily's question. "You shall run down the mountain, grab three of those orange flowers, and bring them back to me. You must not, under any circumstances, leave this task to help someone. Just leave them there, don't help." He picked up a fork, and began counting down. "You can begin in three, two, one, Now!" he yelled, and then began eating the food. Not too quickly, but quickly enough.
Aster watched as the two hikers came closer in his view, and he recognized them. They were the start of all his blunders, those two who were the first to rebel and succeed! H fumed with anger, but knew that a full frontal assault would fail. He hid behind one of the many bushes. He waited with patience, something he had learned to use. He wanted to kill them so badly, but he thought this through. He wanted both dead, but one dead would be better than nothing.

[Mayu]

She bolted quickly out of the cave and down the mountain, jumping over things in her way. It took her a good two minutes to get down, grabbing the flowers she began to run back up the hill. But she sensed someone or something was watching, or perhaps she was just so hungry her mind played tricks. But she ran quickly up the hill again. And finally reached the cave and panted, hoping there was something left to eat.

Lisa she sensed something wasn't right and had a ball of fire in her hand ready for anything, she growled a little bit and told Danny to slow down, she didn't' think her daughter was in any danger. But there was no telling Danny that. Sighing a bit she couldn't help but wonder what today would bring, she just had no idea.

Once Lily returned, there was still a little bit of the lunch left. Not a full meal, but half a meal. The Guardian put down his fork, and pushed the plate down to the opposite end of the table, to the seat where Lily would sit. He waited until she seated, and then asked for the flowers. He needed them for something very important, and the sooner he got them, the better.
Danny heard Lisa growl, and then she told him to slow down. He saw her look around as if she sensed something, a fireball in her hand. He looked around as well, but could see nothing. The only things he saw were sky, the mountain, and a lot of bushes. "Lisa, come on, I don't see anything, we mustn't stop." he told her. He was anxious to see his daughter again, even if she was safe from his poison.
Aster waited behind the bushes, trying to find a weak spot in either of them. The woman was guarding herself well, and attacking her would surely fail. But the man, he was wide open. All he needed was a weapon, and he could kill him. He quietly made a thorn bush grow, and grabbed a sword sized thorn, and testing it's sharpness with his finger. He cut himself just by putting his finger on the point. Aster smiled, knowing this was a killing weapon. He waited for the man, to turn, leaving his back exposed, and he lunged out of the bushes, driving the thorn through his back, out his stomach. Before anyone could react, he was already gone.

Lily was happy some food was left, her stomach was growling loudly and she thanked him bowing her head and began to eat at first she shoveled it in but then she stopped and relaxed, clearing her throat as she slowed down but then sensed something. Something was rather wrong and stopped eating, she felt something bad. "Dad..." She muttered to herself knowing something was very wrong.

Lisa: She screamed out seeing quickly what happened and ran to her husband "Danny!" she held him looking at him. Holding onto him and grew rather scared "don't you dare die on me!" She screamed rather loudly.

Danny barely heard Aster come up to him, but he definitely felt the pain. Unlike the sword wound, this one literally went right through him. It was still in him when Aster fled. He grabbed the sword, and was about to pull it out, but then he collapsed into Lisa's arms. Blood trickled down his mouth, onto his chin. His chest was blood soaked, and the thorn in him didn't feel too good either. He looked to Lisa, and tried to speak a few words. His eyes were going hazy, turning black. He knew the end was near. But he had to tell Lisa. He had figured out Aster's true weakness. If only he had the strength to say. "Lisa..." he rasped.

Lisa looked into his eyes as tears could be seen in her eyes, everything around her just seemed to die all at once. She lost her daughter in a way now she was losing her husband, she took his hand. "Don't you dare leave me Danny! I can't make it without you" But she could tell he wanted to tell her something and she nodded a little. "Danny?"

Danny's eyes were almost black, but he still hade some life in him. He barely spoke his last words however. "His spine... His weak spot, his spine..." he croaked. He lifted his hand, gently touching Lisa's face for the last time. He looked at her, hoping she got his message. And then his eyes went black, and he collapsed onto the ground, limp in Lisa's arms.

Everything in her screamed as she heard what he said and took the big thorn out not that it would do much good. Lisa for the first time was broken, she closed his eyes and held him close as she screamed so loud even the Guardian would hear it from his cave.

Lily heard the scream and once done with lunch she stood up and ran down to see her father. "Daddy" She shook him but she got nothing. She hung her head as silent tears began to fall from her. "Dad...you never should have come back." Slowly standing up Lily threw her head back screaming "ASTER!" Lily screamed.

The Guardian saw Lily run, and he quickly followed her, knowing what she would find. As she slowed to a stop and saw her dead father, he knew that the Prophecy was being fulfilled. Danny was supposed to die, and Lily as supposed to have been unaware until he was already dead, everything happened just the way it was supposed to. The Guardian walked behind Lily, and wrapped his arms around her, trying to calm her. If she got too angry, her powers could set off. He felt horrible about not telling Lily about this. He knew before it happened, of course, but he regretted not telling her. But it wasn't his place to.

Everything was destroyed before her eyes and her mother was quite. Lily could sense her mother was dead to. She felt the Guardian's arms around her as she screamed in anger but not at the guardian she collapsed onto her knees hanging her head. Everything in her just set off so much anger she didn't know what to do with it. She screamed out Asters name again.

"Aster's weakness is his spine..." Lisa said to her daughter as she looked at the guardian with much anger. "Are you fucking happy now you took everything away from me!, I have nothing left!" Lisa screamed.

The Guardian was surprised that Lisa was yelling at him, but that surprise soon turned to anger. "You dare yell at me! I am the one who is training you daughter! My Master saved your life, and his Master saved your life many more times! Three generations of Guardians are helping you! Many who meet the Guardian are only helped by a single generations! And yet many people never even get their help! My Master's Master died helping you, and my Master died fighting Aster! So the fact that you are angry with me shows how unappreciative you are being!" he shouted, yelling more loudly his last words. He turned his back to Lisa and Lily, and ran up the mountain, back into his cave. He couldn't help it, but he was crying. He didn't want any of this to happen, let alone be involved in it. He didn't like to see people in pain, and it broke his heart to see Lily in pain. He didn't know why, but he felt strongly about Lily, just he wasn't sure how.

Lily was surprised by all this, and kissing her father on the forehead and she went after the guardian, and when she found him he was very sad and crying. She walked up to him placing her hand on his shoulder. "Guardian try not to take it to hard, my mother just felt like she lost everything. I mean my dad was the love of her life and now he is gone, I am angry at the whole thing. But not at you, I am just angry at Aster. If that means anything" She said showing him a kind smile. "I will leave you to your thoughts" She left him and went to sit by the fire.

He heard Lily's words of comfort, and he felt slightly better. He stopped sobbing, took his face out of his hands, and wiped his tears. He sniffled, and then left Lily alone in the cave, not alerting her of his departure. He walked down the mountain to Lisa, who was still leaning over Danny's dead body. He put his hand on her shoulder, as if he wanted pull her away from here. He knew she probably wouldn't take this too kindly, but it was worth the risk.

Lisa was just so silent not really feeling anything against him, and then felt someone touching her. She actually wanted to die with him, since she wouldn't be seeing her daughter and knew she could die so perhaps it was easier to let herself die. "I am sorry for yelling at you Guardian, you have done a lot for my family. I just don't know what to do without him" She said her eyes tearing up.

He heard her words of apology, and then she began to cry. He couldn't do much to ease her pain. She would just have to wait until the pain slowly ebbed away. Tat was the best thing for this. He waited for a couple minutes to let her cry, and he then stopped waiting. "Are you ready to go? I will carry his body up to my cave and bury him there. Are you okay with that?" he asked her.

She just held onto him for a moment and when he pulled away she heard what he said and nodded to him. "Thank You" She said in a whisper and then went back up to sit by the fire, looking into the fire. Unsure what would happen, but she had to grow up that she knew all to well. She was afraid for her mother, but now afraid for the future of there planet.

The Guardian watched as Lisa walked up to his cave, and then he turned to Danny's corpse. The thorn had been removed, thankfully, making it much easier to move the body. It was still difficult, however, and took the Guardian a good half hour. Once he reached his cave, he was sweaty all over. He wiped his forehead, and grabbed the corpse by its legs, once again hauling it. Once he reached the wall, he put out his hand, and a door appeared. He opened the door, and hauled the body in, where a grave was already prepared. He placed it in the grave, and moved the dirt back in. The tombstone was set, together with the date of birth and death. This was the only grave in the graveyard here that didn't belong to a Guardian, so it wasn't too grand, but it was nice looking. He walked out the door to Lisa and Lily. "Would you like me to put anything onto the tombstone? Would you like to say any words?" he asked them. He didn't want to rush this; he knew this was a hard time for the both of them.
Aster had escaped from the woman, but he knew this would make them very unhappy. It would spark much hatred, which would form into incentive to kill him. No out the Starbearer would train even harder now that he had killed her father. But it had felt good to kill the man who had fooled his plans so many times. Now there was just the mother, and the Starbearer he would consume. She would be of much more value that way. With his power up from the flower he had eaten, it was only a matter of time before he would reach the Guardian and interrupt the training. He had run down half the mountain, but then had run back up. He found the summit, which was where the Guardian's cave was. He couldn't find the entrance, but that wasn't necessary. He reached out with his mind to find any people who were either still consumed or his followers. He found some, not many, but still some. He sent out a command, and they immediately obeyed, glad that their master had returned to them once more.

She heard what he asked of her and sighed some and nodded sighing a little. Smiling at him looking at the guardian "Loving Husband and Father, may he finally know true peace" Looking down she wanted to cry, tears could be seen in her eyes. But they were never shed. "Guardian he will go after my mother next and if he kills her, I don't know I wont have anything left. But I know Aster will go after her, I can sense it. I don't know how or why but I can" She said and sighed a little bit, not really knowing what was to come of this now.

But she honestly was terrified that something bad was going to happen to her mother, and wondered perhaps it would cause her to get more powerful much faster. But then what would be the point of being what she was. no one would be here to love her. And that terrified the hell out of her, right now nothing seemed to go her way. She saved her father once why not now? did the guardian know and that was why he wouldn't let her help when she was on her way to get the flowers, that terrified her.

The Guardian nodded, and inscribed the words of her choice. Once that was done, he sealed the door, and listened to what she had to say. Wen she finished, he thought it over for a bit, and then answered. "I don't doubt you, I believe this as well. But if Lily goes, it will put her at risk, so she can't go. I must not leave Lily's side, so if she doesn't go, neither shall I. And if you go alone, Aster will surely kill you and your mother, which we can't have. No, we must all stay, otherwise one of us will die."
Aster waited patiently for news from his followers, and then he saw it. A lone figure was climbing up the mountain. Once he reached Aster, he bowed, and then told him the message. "Oh Lord Aster, we have done as you wished. We have set out many hundreds of troops to the village of your request. If you would like anything else, please just ask." He stood there for a moment, waiting for Aster to speak, and then turned. But Aster finally spoke. "Yes, I require your assistance young man." He grabbed him, and threw him against the wall of the mountain, right where the Guardian's cave was. The man gave a very loud clear, one that the Guardian would surely hear, and then blacked out. Aster quickly consumed him, and made him appear to be a completely normal person. And then Aster was the before he could be discovered.

She didn't know what was going to happen to them, right now everything just seemed to be still. Taking a deep breath she just nodded. She knew Aster was going to do something, Lily could sense something was off. Looking at the fire she sat before the fire and sighed sadly. Taking a deep breath and everything just seemed to stop. But she just nodded and had no idea just how long this was going to be. "Aster may just win and I don't know how much more I can take, I know what he wants Guardian"

Looking up into his eyes "He will want me to lose everything, so I will learn hard and quickly everything you have to teach me. To fight him with as much rage as its possible for one person to have, to fight to the death where he can wound me and consume me. And I would rather die a thousand deaths then for him to consume me. But you cannot always protect mother, Aster right now is already doing something to a village, sending troops out all over. And mother may just do something foolish. "

Before the Guardian could reply to Lily, he heard a yell from outside of his cave, and before he cold even think about it, he rushed to the entrance and opened it to see what had happened. He saw a young man unconscious, lying on the mountain side near the entrance. His head was covered in blood, and it was obvious he had hit his head on a rock. The Guardian quickly grabbed him and brought him in. H shut the doors, and laid the man by the fire. He checked out the gash on the head, and cleaned it with a cloth and some liquid from one of his many bottles. He then bandaged it, and prepared some food for the man once he would regain conscious.

Lily looked up unsure what was going to happen, but right now she wasn't to worried. But watching the man lay there. She knew who did it "I think this is mistake guardian, you don't sense that?" Walking up to the fire. "I think Aster did this, I feel taint on this man. I hope I am wrong" SHe said softly and sat in the corner just watching around her seeing what was to happen.

The Guardian heard Lily's warning, and he nodded. "Yes, i feel taint. But that is why i ahve him here, to remove it. Even though he is corrupted, I shall try to get rid of it, or at least use it to our advantage." He poured water in a pot, and set it over the fire, waiting for it to boil. He quickly cut some herbs, and put them in the water, and then he rushed back to the kithcen, and took out several bottles, poured some of each in a glass, and stirred it fervently. He put that on a platter, finished the soup, put it in a bowl, grabbed a spoon, put them on the platter, and set it on the table. He sat down, and waited, seeing the man stir.
Aster had run down the mountain, and was looking through the mind of the man he had left up the mountain. He was awakening, and Aster almost squeled with delight. He saw the man open his eyes, which werent green, since Aster wasnt controlling the man, and he looked around, seeing some soup and a glass filled with some liquid. Aster quickly left the mind of the man, and returned to his followers who were obeying his command. The messenger had been rihgt, they village of his request had been attacked. He saw the houses on fire, corpses all over the ground, but he saw his troops entering houses, chasing out women. They had, no doubt killed all the men, but kept the women and children alive. Aster went to his general, and told them they could have some fun with the women if they pleased. After all, he needed to boost their moral. He did, however, see just what he was looking for; the remnants of the Starbearers family. Her grandparents, but none of her grandfathers. No, one had been a fiebender, so he was killed. And the other was fighting the troops, and was slaughtered. No, just the grandmothers.

Lily didn't like this the taint was very deep and was afraid it wouldn't work, but she was ready for anything. Her father was dead and she wanted Aster's head on a platter. But knew that revenge would only get her killed, and she didn't exactly want to die. Looking around she just silently sighed and didn't know exactly what to say or do right then. It was hard to think really, but she watched the man stagger to get to his feet and had no idea exactly on what would happen. But only time would tell with him.

The Guardian saw the man awaken, squinting at first because of the light from the fire and torches hanging on the walls, and then he changed from barely able to see from surprised by his surroundings. "Where, where am I?" He asked. The Guardian let out a sigh of relief, glad that he could still talk, and then answered the question. "We are here to help you. You hit your head on a rock, and have a bad gaston the side of your head. You appear to have no serious damage done, but we ant be too sure. Just take a rest, and take an easy." he told him. He handed him the food and glass, and the man took it gratefully. He ate the food quickly, shoving it down, but when he drank the contents of the glass, he spit it out. "What is that stuff? It tastes horrible!" he said. The Guadian smiled, and handed the glass back to him. "It is something you must drink." he answered.
