well, Jack could write with a pen name, thus giving him some protection. Also, i think that this Kira person must, i repeat must, know their quarry's full name, first and last. So, since no one knows Danny's last name, since he was orphaned as a child, he has some protection, but the Temple which Danny grew up in knows his last name, and i was thinking that the Kira guy was also raised there, so that could be how Danny and this guy met. Please share your opinions.

If you want, I could have some NPC's attack the reporter after one of the button men at the shooting noticed him talking with cops after. But he simply followed him until he was alone, in a place capable of killing him off and making it look like a standard robbery gone wrong.

Not a bad idea. They would kill him because he knew too much. It could be that a henchman tells Crimson that they saw a reporter all to the cops, and than Crimson tells him to kill him.

Hey, all. I just wanted to quickly interject that I am really enjoying the Superheroes story and I was wondering if you would want an occasional guest writer?

Depending on how the story grows/changes I would be more than willing to write for some supporting characters (ex, another super who was a late-graduate of the Temple where Danny was raised who occasionally visits the city & could help/hurt the situations). My characters could be easily molded to anything which may enhance the story line & would be simplistic write-ins. I am an English student and currently work part-time as a writer.

Any opinions? I know that you all have a great thing going.

I'm a bit of a comic book lover myself and, upon doing some reading, decided I really enjoyed your RP and would really like to join if you want. I have some characters I can recycle from previous superhero stories and I can also create new ones. For the sake of getting as much done in as little time as possible, I'll post a couple characters after this and you can approve or disapprove any or all of them you want.

Name: Angel McKenzie Wagner
Alias: Persian
Age: 21
Hair: White/ Blonde
Eyes: Gold/ Gray
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 105 lbs
Appearance: Angel is small with long show-white hair, cat ears, and a fluffy white tail. Her eyes are large and, much like a cat's, the pupils change from large discs to thin slits depending on her mood. She has no finge or toenails, instead having retractable claws. Her feet are also shaped similar to a cat's in that she can only wear high-heeled shoes because of the raised heel. Because of her appearance, she usually engages a holo-watch that disguises her as a normalised version of herself with blonde hair, normal-sized gray eyes, human ears, and a thinner face,hence the above slashes.
Abilities: Enhanced senses, speed, flexibility, and reflexes and she has natural weapons in her claws and teeth.
Bio: Her childhood was traumatic, living with a fragile mother and grandparents who hated her, all the while never stepping foot outside the house because of her appearance. Her mother then sent her to the Xavier institute, where she trained to understand her powers and made the first friends of her life. She also met Kurt Wagner, who, despite hating her at first, is now her husband. Nearly 4 years ago, she left the Institute for NYC to produce her debut album as a pop sensation. Her life remains chaotic however, now that she must deal with the ups and downs of motherhood, fame, and having a hero for a husband.

Appearance: Small and adorable, though built athletically. Her hair is cropped very short, though it has begun to grow back out. When longer, it is very wavy.
Abilities: Ability/knowledge absorption. Kind of like Rogue, but she can't absorb any PHYSICAL abilities or ESP. She can absorb skills (like martial arts or how to play tennis), knowledge(bank information, directions through a city), and language(how to speak another language or dialect).
Bio: Carson spent much of her childhood on the run from her crazed father along with her older sister, Roselynne. The chase finally ended in a forest near the rural Japanese mountainside when, due to hunger and fatigue, their father overcame the two and dealt Roselynne a fatal blow. As an 8-year-old Carson held her dying sister in her arms, she had an emotional breakdown and unleashed her full power on her father and his hired muscle, killing them all and then using the last of her strength to collapse next to her sister's dead body. She was soon after found by a girl, Anniqua, who had been raised in a Ninja clan and took the young, exhausted and malnourished Carson back to them to recover. Carson would then live with the clan and Anniqua for many years before convincing the elders to allow the two girls to attend school in bustling Tokyo. It is here she earned the nickname Taiga, due to her almost uncanny resemblance of the famous anime character. Out of embarrassment and frustration, she cuts off her long hair and lives out most of her student life mourning her popularity and trying to avoid her fans. Upon graduating High School, Carson decides to leave protection of Tokyo Anniqua and leave Japan behind to face down her demons back in her old home, New York City, where her nightmare and personal hell had all begun. The old itch to protect is starting to return and maybe Omni will return.

Appearance: Not very exceptional; fairly average-looking girl, though she does have a birthmark shaped like a waning moon on her torso right below her ribcage.
Abilites: Hypnotic Voice. She can sing and manipulate people into doing whatever she wants them to, as long as it is actually physically possible at that precise moment.
Bio: Georgia had a fairly average childhood in a small mid-western town until she went to La Guardia High School of Performing Arts in NYC. When it came time for college, she began singing in bars and clubs to make money and during a performance, the club was broken into and held up at gunpoint. When the fear in her voice resounded through the microphone, the criminals hesitated. Taking a risk, she began singing bits and pieces of different songs so that, without them even knowing it, she had made everyone in the bar call 911 and forced the criminal to bungle their operation. After that night, and some practice, she had honed her ability and Musica was born.

That's the last of the recylable characters. Like I said, just let me know if I can join or not, and which character(s) make(s) the cut or not.

All of your characters are excellent, absolutely excellent! You can play all of them if you wish, or just one, but they all can be done. But, just a suggestion, I think you should post a picture for all of your characters, so we have a better visual of them.
