Has anybody on here ever hooked up with somebody else from here because of this personals site? Maybe they just don't have many people from Mississippi. Or maybe I am just really impatient. What are your thoughts?

I just want to say in my defense that I am not a stuck up witch. I have been away from lit for about 5 yrs now and have noticed the change in how people are big time! It used to be a fun and welcoming place, not so much anymore. Also, in the past, people did hook up at times and some were successful and others not so much, but everyone had fun! Just saying!

I agree. I was here years ago under a long forgotten name, and I have noticed a big difference too. The fun isn't here as much as it use to be, but I still have made a couple friends.

I'd say you're being a tad impatient - you've been on Lit less than a month and have only posted 9 times? Yes, it'll take a little time and patience to cultivate whatever it is you're looking for. If you just want a quick cyber-fuck or r/l hookup, you might be out of luck. If you're looking for friends, or for whatever comes your way, you may have to put yourself out there, post on some threads here and there, send a PM or two to people who've caught your attention, put some effort into it. If that's too much for you, you may want to find another site that is solely there for hookups.

Hooking up is possible but not if you are impatient. You have to pretty much live on the board so people get used to seeing your posts. If the posts are good enough eventually someone will respond. Most people don't have the staying power for it. |

I understand that patience is a virtue. I just didn't particularly think of this being a virtuous place. LOL I have been coming to this site for many years. I had a screen name that I could never remember. I also looked in the personals for the area that I live in and never really found much there. I certainly am not opposed to friends. Especially those that think about and talk openly about sex. Here, most of the people are a bit uptight about the subject. Here being in Mississippi. I was just wondering if people actually hooked up. People in big cites up north and out west probably have different attitudes and I would think that those areas had a higher rate of actually "Hooking Up".

I have hooked up from here, a few times, although not because of a personal. Just making contact through Texas related threads, etc and then forming a friendship that turned into a hook up, something along
those lines.
If you're just here for a real life hookup, I'd imagine there are better sites to try. Maybe a dating site, or AFF, or even Craigslist. At least then you can search by location.

I would say that the best "hook-ups" this wonderful site offers are those of the mental kind. It is great to make friends here and have a good mind affair. I think that because this site is so universal in nature, that is people from all areas of the world, your chances of a real one on one hook up are very limited. Besides the fact that the lovely ladies are well out numbered by the male population.
