Speaks volumes, that. Ignorance has to be the most widely distributed article on the planet.

Getting back to the N-Day, some new authors have scored well coming out of the starting gate today. But the worth of a horse (and a writer) are tested in a long race. And some of these new stories are nine-pagers. Goes against conventional wisdom.
My last contest entry was 7. I heard no complaints.

SA Penn Lady posted Ch 10 to "Rhythm and the Blue Line", and her characterization and plotting are as strong as ever.

ohio's back!

Ohio's first (hopefully) 2012 submission has posted in LW: Shattered. His specialty's always been the "psychological aftermath" story in my opinion, and he went all out on this one I think.

RedHairedandFriendly has a new entry "Renewal", breaking well from the starting gate. Sweet and hot, nicely written.

Foolstop's "Hide in Plain Sight" is a downscroller (on-line equivalent of a page-turner), and a strong runner in the N-Day. With a good copy editing job, the story would be even better.

SilkStockingsLover has an LW in the works, and it's got something for the fans who like the genre.

Jemma_Jane has a new story, and it's party time. The party gets so hot, her heroine doesn't even know her own name.

And of course DG Hear, MFG, is working on another story. His computer gets a real workout.

Was on an airplane flying north from Richmond, VA when LaRascasse posted "Lucid Ending" yesterday (6/29). Should have mentioned it; soft-core incest, but thoughtfully written.

Lucid Ending was a week ago. Thanks for the double mention.

The other story you edited is up today under Romance.

I was "up there a bit", for sure, but am now firmly back to earth, and yes, LaRascasse, I did see "Living with Katrina Ch 1", and the flak you caught from the literalists, to whom I replied.

I can make an argument for technical accuracy in narration, but when it comes to characterization (and you did well there), the critics can read the scholarly journals and technical publications if they wish to find the state-of-the-art information. This is erotic fiction.

I see the lead changing hands, or perhaps about to change hands, in the N-Day, with the leaders bunching up as they approach the far turn and head for the stretch. Getting toward sweep time, I expect, with the mighty Hoover revving up beside the track.

Lovecraft68 has entered the N-Day fray with "Maid for Nude Day". He said that he was letting the sex go "all-in", and it is indeed, everything in everything. Exhausting.

Meantime, neither storm, nor rain, nor power outages keeps DG Hear, MFG, from writing. Another N-Day entry in the works.

Saxon Stonedyke promises more about Ames and Dragon--the adventure continues.

Fans of "Clue", forget Colonel Mustard in the library, we have SandraMustard in the hotel room on Kona with a heavy-duty session, in "Meeting Leilani". It's a colorful Hawai'ian lay (pun definitely intended), well-written. Here's a winning line: "Can you imagine trying to cover an erect penis with a napkin, three-inches square? His phallus looked like a little bald man in a dinner jacket."

Just noticed SA Penn Lady has posted Ch 11 of "Rhythm and the Blue Line", and the fans are swarming. Discussions of the personality flaws of the characters are flying, as the suspended disbeliefs flutter about. A wonderful effort by a superlatively skilled writer, even if she rejected my edit in the second sentence. SA Penn Lady rules!

LOL I didn't so much reject the edit as realize I had the wrong verb tense. Thanks --without your note on an edit, I wouldn't have realized it. And people do seem to be lining up on sides, don't they.

SA Penn Lady, the fans are really into the story. You make us all suspend our disbelief. Great series! More!

A hot debut by Schaka, "My Mother in Law" is spoiled by sloppy mechanicals. If you can get past the unclosed quotation marks and missed commas, it's hot stroker. Nothing starts off a holiday better than a hot suck-'n'-fuck.

MatureLadyLover has posted "Mature Jill’s Revenge"--and Jill does everything but jill. Ignore the mechanical flaws, it's really hot.

SilkStockingsLover’s latest venture into GM, “I Thought I Was Straight”, definitely requires the narrator to think again. Plenty of Silk’s patented D/s spice, with an interracial gloss, and she's entered it in the N-Day.

BuckyDuckman has an interesting How-To for newbies, “Get Someone Else to Write Your Idea”. Literoticans who’ve been around for a while can skip this, but newbies can use the information.

Roden Addison has a new story percolating, with a "Little House on the Prairie" feeling to it. A change of pace from his motorcycle N-Day entry.

DG Hear, MFG, has posted "Just Walk Away", his latest N-Day entry, to mixed but generally favorable reviews. Some commentators remarked that his stories were very much the same, but I remember him once saying "Sure they are, they all come from the same head--mine".

And joulie has a cute H&S "'Twas a Dark and Stormy Night". A funny story that desperately needs a solid copy editing job.

Fans of SA Penn Lady, Ch 12 of "Rhythm and the Blue Line" is in the author's hands, tiny copy editing completed. Sorry to leave characters I really like.

Thanks for the Boost ES. It was a fun write. You are one hell, of a good editor! Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

It was a lot of fun to copy edit (really next to nothing for me to do, just enjoy). SA Penn Lady, you've created some really memorable characters.

JohnnyMax has a good hot story in "Shaving Debate". Lots of good fun Down Under (in both senses of the words).

and13 has a hot evening with "The Escort". But the author would have done better with a cool afternoon with an editor.
