I 1st though that as well. Clearly he wallows in offending and takes great pride in knowing most posters have him on ignore, myself included. However I no longer think he is a parody of your quintessential racist. While I agree he hypes himself for the audience, I also think he's a racist. Maybe irl he would never speak how he does here, or express the same opinions .. Perhaps he even doesn't always believe the garbage he spews, but at his core, hes a sad, angry middle aged white man who thinks that he's essentially better then anyone of color.

I'm sure he doesn't believe everything he says--he's admitted as much--but I don't see him as a parody. Who is he supposed to be parodying? Even leaving politics aside, no one posts in remotely the same way.
As far as what he's "really" like, I neither know nor care. Except for Artemesia, everyone here is just words on a screen to me. As far as I'm concerned, you are what your posts say you are.

i don't particularly care for rory's singular focus in the past few years on race. it's a little stringent for my taste. that said, i am too stringent for people, too.
i do not find him to be racist, though. i don't believe that he would treat someone differently because of color or national origin or race. there are plenty of people here, though, whom you have not put in your cross-hairs who would.
