Well, it seems that that my other roleplays are mostly stalled for now, so I decided to go ahead and set up a futuristic one, albeit in a world where Rome never fell.
The year is 2247. The world is divided into four great empires: the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Chinese Empire, and the Inca Empire. All other states are either allied to or dominated by these major powers. The Roman, or Western, Empire is Pagan, while the Byzantine Empire is Christian.
My character is Faustus Honorius, Praetorian Prefect of Italy under the Emperor Sallust XIV (named after the great Emperor Sallust I, who seized control of the West in 363 and crushed the power of the Christians there). Honorius is a former general and has recently married Vaenetia, the daughter of a powerful member of the local council of the city of Aquileia. He also has a favorite courtesan named Philippa.
You can pick a character from any of these empires or a puppet state.
