I sense this is a rhetorical question!

First is the allure of a per 18+ year old. Second is the convenience and accessibility of being under the same roof. But third and foremost is the taboo nature of sexually bonding with a person you created, nurtured and love. To have her want and please you. The naughty excitement of crossing that line that should not be crossed.

At least that's my guess. I don't have a daughter!

For me its the taboo aspect. It is something so naughty you cannot help get caught up in it. That's good to know... it comes in useful. It's made it so much easier to share orgasms with people thousands of miles away than ever before, for one thing!

In my opinion, it's because there's a huge role reversal and it combines several different taboos.

Father/daughter stories all include the themes of incest, older/younger, and authoritarianism in some way.

I think that there is nothing really intrinsically taboo about it. I think our modern culture has created a taboo that adds appeal for some and revulsion for others, but to me that is all artificial. Without that "taboo" aspect I think that our attractions (or not) to members of our family would be like any other attractions we experience, and we wouldn't give them a second thought.

For myself--I am not the least bit attracted to my two daughters. One is too young, and the other too much like her mother, her personality and ways of dealing with things so foreign to me that trying something as complicated as sexual relations has no place to gain a foothold. (Her mother and I parted company a long time ago) My daughter and I love each other, respect each other, support each other--but it all falls comfortably in the traditional role of parent and child.

Now my two step-daughters and I--we have intense sexual chemistry. We also have a fantastic parent/child relationship. The result is a very complicated mix of love and lust. We've never acted on the lust part, but we recognize it's there. I think much of who we're are attracted to comes down to pheromones, and they have very similar appeal to me as their mother, my current and long time mate, with whom I have the deepest love and wildest lust. I have lust for many of my kids freinds as well.

For me the appeal of a mixed generational love affair is powerful. I love the combination of my experience and confidence with their curiosity and exuberance. It may not be the thing that makes for a perfectly rounded partnership (there's too much we don't share in terms of common experiences), but within the limits of its paradigm, daddy/daughter can be one rocking good time for both.

In my opinion there is not a stronger bond than the bond between a father and his "little girl". A father will protect his children at all costs; readily give his life for them, but the instinct to be protective of his little girl is strongest.

I have a son and daughter. I would never do anything "inappropriate" to my children, but I remember feeling a sadness the day it was no longer appropriate to kiss on the lips or tickle her "to death" ... I think a lot of dads remember that feeling. In the same way some daughters have "daddy issues" when something in that relationship is missing, I think many daddies get "daughter issues" when the closeness is no longer appropriate. The love is still as powerful, but the relationship has to change.

The fantasy is imagining that love turning to passion. I have a daddy/daughter fantasy, but not about my own daughter. I think most who have taboo fantasies, imagine a dad, daughter, son, etc, who they would be attracted to regardless, but the taboo edge of "no one can ever know" makes the fantasy even more exciting.

Let me clarify. I am not attracted to my father, i have a horrible relationship with him. But a strong fantasy of mine is to have a daddy so amazing he fulfills every need i have.
