maybe it starts with kiss
no
before that
there has to be a smile
there might be tears
or maybe all of this is wrong
it starts with an illusive feeling
a transient thought
and the smile plants the seeds
and the kiss helps them grow
into desire
but the second kiss
the second kiss
is the memory

I'll take the memory and the kiss to bed with me.

He hadn’t intended to stare. Rocky respected peoples’ privacy, but the proximity of the park benches made it impossible for him not to notice the redhead. Fiery strands tumbled down her back, failing in their attempt at covering the bright orange sweater thrown across her shoulders. Images of another woman, similar red hair, teased his memory, disappearing before slamming into him with the force of a hurricane. Visions of Eileen took him back to that long ago night when they rode the subway train for hours.
“Have you ever gotten such bad news your brain couldn’t comprehend the ramifications?”
The question broke into Rocky’s thoughts, chasing the images away. “Excuse me?”
“I’m dying.”
The blunt statement shocked him. His mouth opened and closed several times before he realized he didn’t know what to say.

I remember when you posted that line before. It's great and I'd love to read a completed story that this is a part of. It's interesting how you leaped the story forward and had him remember that line. Very clever.

Aww, HP. Such an early morning for you.
Would you like a brandy and go back to sleep, or shall I brew you some coffee and be done with the sleeping?

Ah, Honey, for the time being a nice cup of coffee would be right welcome. It's a touch early for a beer.
Oh heck, I do hate this bloody cough!
A nice glass of "stop this cough" would be more than welcome. And I have not smoked a cig in seven months!

What did the doc say about the cough? *hunts in bag for British Humor Tool* Look on the bright side, just think how much worse it would be if you hadn't stopped smoking!

It's the only one I know of on the Last thread. She's always crawling on it.
I can't keep my eyes open a second longer. Might if I snuggle against you and sleep?

Oh do please. You're more than welcome and I'll try not to keep you awake with coughing (it's easing now). Alternatively, I'll have a word with the Dragon who'll keep you warm and snug under his wing.
Night night, sweet Lady.

Hey, welcome and of course . . .
Hey guys.
Just a quick note from the depths of the night, to say I'll see you all in a couple of days.
Off back out to Waimarama beach for the weekend.
I'm expecting a fair bit of ice out there in the mornings though.
Just hoping I dont get ambushed by Vodka and fall down asleep outside somewhere . . . ooooo

Hello Lady,
Of course you can join us. But please don't wake Honey; she was up early this morning and is tired, not to say shagged out.
I must remember to thank Kimmee for her couch, sometime.

No, Fool, HP was ill, so DH sent him there to rest. Then she felt tired and snuggled up with him. There was no naughtiness; just pure innocence.

HP was the one who mentioned Shagging in a later post. I'd have to go back to check the context but then again I'm too lazy.
