It's a restaurant. No, I was just in Ft. Worth driving around trying to find the stockyards when I happened to glance to the right and did a double-take! I was bouncing in my seat going, "There's Austin's restaurant! There it is!"

Okay, but my question is: Why were you looking for the stockyards?

Why? Well, every Texan has to get their cattle to market somehow!

I was born in Iowa. I've seen (and smelled) enough, thanks.

It's never bothered me and I like rodeos, too. We didn't stay long, but both downtown Ft. Worth and the stockyards looked like they need more of my time and attention.

I've been to the arts district of Ft. Worth to see the Amon Carter Museum, and more recently, the Kimbell. What little I've seen of Ft. Worth, it's a nice small city with a lot to see and do.

Nope.

Looking down in your siggy line, I see you've been busy banging away on the ol' keyboard. ML, I have to ask. Do your characters behave? Well, what I mean is, do you know where you're going on your story journey before you set off? Or does it unfold as you write?

Oh, and speaking of smells (a moment ago.) I just went and pulled my aged basil plants. Fresh basil smells wonderful, and now my hands have brought it with me into the house. Much better than cow manure.

I have no clue where things are going when I type. One sentence leads to another. Dialogue flows and gives information to use later. I'm on the laptop but give me a minute and I'll give you an example from the PC.

Rocky quit his job. He was at the part to think. This goes with what began as a simple story. I thought of the line in blue and liked it. This is what came with it.

****
He hadn’t intended to stare. Rocky respected peoples’ privacy, but the proximity of the park benches made it impossible for him not to notice the redhead. Fiery strands tumbled down her back, failing in their attempt at covering the bright orange sweater thrown across her shoulders. Images of another woman, similar red hair, teased his memory, disappearing before slamming into him with the force of a hurricane. Visions of Eileen took him back to that long ago night when they rode the subway train for hours.

“Have you ever gotten such bad news your brain couldn’t comprehend the ramifications?”

The question broke into Rocky’s thoughts, chasing the images away. “Excuse me?”

“I’m dying.”

The blunt statement shocked him. His mouth opened and closed several times before he realized he didn’t know what to say.

Writing poetry is kind of like being a husband. You have to learn when to shut up and call it done.

Not numbers. They always lie.

The fingers are getting back towards words with braille. Now lips have more tactile potential. Maybe I should start blurting with naughty pictographs.

Naughty? Oh my! I was thinking simple kisses. You know, lips touching together. Or lips on nipples. Soft lips on hard tight nipples. Lips on hard . . .

simple kisses
skin yields
to lips soft caress
sometimes not so soft
slowly dragging out time
sometimes not
as timeless slides into fast
and furious
one time quiet
the next tumultuous
simple kisses never are
