Laurel, what is my quota for new discussions in Literotica?

I've just been threatened with banishment if I do not avoid "flooding" BDSM Talk.

BLoved, consider this your official notification.

The owner of the site, Laurel, has informed me that your threads were merged so they did not continue to dominate the front page, pushing the threads of other users onto subsequent pages. This is not censorship, as all of your posts were left intact, except the ones you edited yourself. It is a tidying of the forum to keep it running smoothly for all members.

I have been given permission to merge further threads of yours, if you persist in spamming the board. If you do it again, you will be given a warning. If you continue after that, you will be banned from Literotica.

This is straight from Laurel, the one person with the authority to ban you, so you would be well advised to avoid creating multiple threads again.

As you can see from the resulting "merge", these were diverse and on-topic discussions:

Isolation
Being the First ...

Now Etoile won't specify how many new discussions constitute a "flood".

How am I to avoid this problem in the future if I am limited to a quota of new discussions and no one will tell me what that quota is?

I tried to get him to use PM, guys, I promise I did.

Type slower.

Anyone that interested in BDSM should be able to cause mass suffering on a BDSM board.

Hmmm...it doesn't appear that you're beloved, BLoved. :D

Etoile, dahling! Always good to see thee. Now why can't the GB have more posters of your style and grace? What can we do to get you to stay?

As you delivered your warning in public, I feel it is just as important to nail this down in public.

This is the only forum I know of where such topics are "on-topic".

Since you wouldn't answer my question, you've created the impression there is no rule, that I am subject to your whim.

Hard to enjoy Free Speech when I am being threatened not to start too many discussions and I'm not told how many is "too many".

I am trying to comply with Laurel's instructions.

They're just a bit vague.

Silly fuck, use a bunch of alts. That's how it is done here.

I appreciate the advice, but I think my point of view and writing style is distinctive enough that I wouldn't fool anyone, assuming I was so inclined.

How many threads do you start per day, on average? If it's more than a few, you probably need to turn off the computer and do something else. That would be in your best interests as well as the other posters on the forum. And yes I realize some people here on the GB start lots of threads each day, but this is an unmoderated forum, unlike BDSM Talk.

I don't know Etoile personally but I've been here a long time, and she has always struck me as a class act. You probably need to calm down about this.

Don't count on it.

No one really gives a fuck.

On average? None.

Maybe one or two a week since I joined, probably less than that.

Today I started perhaps 15 new on-topic discussions.

As I recall, the usual advice is 'if you don't see the discussion you'd like to have, start it', so I did.

I prefer concrete rules rather than rely on a mod who is openly hostile towards me.

It is a reasonable question ... what is my quota?

You will find sympathy between shit and syphilis in the dictionary.

It sounds to me as if there is not an absolute number, but posters need to be reasonable. If the average poster starts, say, a thread or two a week and someone else starts 15 in a day, uh the person who starts 15 is not being reasonable. You can take your cue from others on the forum. And you may be starting discussions that aren't new, and in fact have been discussed many times. If you go back and read, you may find you can simply bump a thread that's already on topic.

I like concrete rules, too, but I also recognize that the world rarely offers absolutes, not when human beings are involved.

We'll see about showing my tits a little later, I'm at work right now! ;)
