Jusenkyo, the training ground of a thousand and one cursed springs. Skilled martial artists once flocked there to train atop the bamboo growing from the springs. But it became to dangerous, each spring has its own tragic tell of something that once drowned there. The trouble is any one who falls into a spring is forever cursed.

Those that fall into the spring turn into who ever or what ever drowned there. The only way to reverse this is to touch hot water, but even then any and all cold water will return them to there cursed form.

This is the love story of two teenagers who are about to meet. A boy who fell into the spring of the drowned girl and a girl who fell into the spring of the drowned boy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay this story is open to any one and every one!

As some of you may notice Jusenkyo is from Ranma 1/2, this is in fact a Ranma 1/2 world but I don't plan to use existing characters just the setting. A setting were bizarre martial arts styles and strange items appear much to often in high school and a return trip to Jusenkyo never seems to work as planed.

The power level of fights is a few levels above ninja turtles or a few bellow naruto. With martial arts focusing on unusaly concepts, like firework throwing or crushing people with your depression.

The cursed springs them selves include all sorts of things from twins, to ducks, to a yeti riding a bull while caring a crane and a snake. (Yes that is actually in the series and yes I would prefer no one use it.)

Name: Kathryn Shepard
Age: 18
Gender: Female (normally)
Looks: Blueish black hair kept in a long pony tail. Green eyes. Thin, with modest proportions but a definite hour glass figure. About 5' 6" tall and 120 lbs. While Male she has brown eyes, her hair looses its blue tint, and her build slides from thin to muscled. As a male she is 5'11" and 150lbs.
Clothing: Kat usually wears blue jeans and T shirt.
Martial art style: Flying Squirrel KungFu: This style focuses on balance, speed, and airily grace. Mostly a defensive style offense usally involves kicks.

Bio: Born into the Shepard family Kat was cursed with great wealth and because she was home schooled cursed again with vast amounts of free time. To fill her free time around the age of eight she discovered old Japanese martial arts films. These films are usually good for a laugh with the running up walls and crazy back flips, but she wasn't laughing. She thought that these wire stunts were part of martial arts. So she started martial arts. By age ten she hadn't found the airily grace she wanted from martial arts, but had made progress on her own. At age twelve she found a teacher in China. At age 16 she finally convinced her parents into letting her go there to train. At age 18 her Master, Fon Obuv, received a challenge at Jusenkyo. From there, she had an accident and lost track of her master. She hasn't seen him since. Of coarse she hasn't been looking to hard, mostly because she seems to swap genders when her skin gets wet, a condition she doesn't want her parents to discover.

Neat idea!

I like Ranma 1/2 a lot. The concept of using the world and the idea of the crazy martial arts is a very cool one.

I would be willing to play, ideally as the boy who falls into the spring of drowned girl, but I can be flexible.

Your more then welcome to him, I'll take the girl that feel into the drowned boy spring. I am just glad this idea will get off the ground.

Feel free to post your bio. I'll do mine either tonight or tomorrow.

Sorry it's taking some time. I will get a bio up tomorrow. The weekend's been busier than anticipated.

I am again sorry for how long this took. The weekend was bad enough, but then my Internet flaked out on me. :( Anyway, here I am and I hope that what I've got is acceptable. Please let me know if there's anything you don't like.

Name: Kyle Takeshina
Age: 18
Gender: Male (normally)
Looks: As a male, Kyle is 6' 2" tall and weighs in at about 175lbs, having a strong but agile build. He is handsome, with noble but strong features. He has brown eyes and sandy blond hair that wears in a loose style down to his jawline.

When struck with cold water, Kyle changes in dramatic ways. He becomes a female, standing 5'4" and weighing about 130lbs. Female Kyle's figure is lush and curvy, with particularly large and pert breasts. His hair turns fiery red and his eyes become blue.

Clothing: Kyle usually wears loose fitting gray jeans and a pair of cheap red canvas sneakers, a red t-shirt, and a brown leather jacket.

Martial art style: First Pulse Style - Kyle is familiar with many styles of martial arts, but his primary style is one developed in the urban wilderness by street people who has to fight to survive. The style emphasizes power, timing, and aggressive speed. Defense is secondary to offense in this style; which includes punches, elbows, head butts, kicks, knees, throws, and just about every kind of attack you can imagine. The style encourages students to use the environment to their advantage and make anything into a weapon, no matter how odd or ridiculous it may seem.

Bio: Kyle Takeshima was born to an American researcher who fell in love with and married an accomplished Japanese karate master. His life was normal, even good, until he turned twelve years old and his parents both died in a terrible fire that destroyed the old dojo he'd grown up in. Without any family he knew of and nowhere to live, he became a street child. After getting beaten up several times by groups of larger boys; he witnessed an old homeless man being menaced by a large gang of youths. As he watched, the old man exploded into action and brutally defeated the gangers. Kyle approached him and begged the old man to teach him to fight. The old man told him to go away. Kyle left, dejected. The next night, the old man suddenly attacked Kyle out of the blue. The boy barely managed to avoid the attacks and ran for it. Laughing, the old man congratulated him and told him that by surviving the surprise attack, Kyle had showed he would be a good student and introduced himself as Usutsemi.

Kyle's training began then; consisting of weeks and months of traveling and learning from Usutsemi before the old man would vanish without a word or a trace. The old man would return a few days or a week later, attacking his student my surprise to see if he had learned the lessons well enough. AS they wandered first Japan and then the United States, Kyle learned the basics of many other more "normal" styles.

Master Usutsemi has again disappeared on Kyle, this time though he's been gone for months. Starting to try and find his teacher, Kyle followed his trail to a strange and out of the way place in rural China, someplace the locals called Jusenkyo; the place of a thousand and one cursed springs. It was here that his life changed forever. Wandering around the springs with an annoying tour guide, a small marmoset leaped out of a tree and onto Kyle's face. The youth stumbled back, the tiny primate jumping away just before Kyle fell into one of the cursed springs. His body felt strange; like it was melting, and then was suddenly lighter and bulged in strange places. Breaking the surface, he discovered that he had changed into a girl...and a really, really hot girl too.

Now he's got no home, no master, and no clue what to do about the face that he now changes into a sexy babe when he get splashed with cold water, and that only hot water will turn him back.

Just incase you didn't see it.

So is your prfered setting Japa, China, or America?

I think we should do either Japan or America, but either one is fine with me. Japan would seem more...I don't know, likely to have the crazy martial arts thing? But the US could be good 'cause we could crazy martial artists from many difference cultures.

OOC: Lets keep it simple and go with Japan. I am assuming we both know very little about it, so no one can call out our BS. Any ways, fallow my story lead if you will.

IC: I stepped into the Police office. It was a small place with very few people other then the Police themselves. Odd enough this was the only station in town that specialized in finding missing persons.

I stepped up to the counter. "I would like to file a missing persons report." I reached between my cleavage and produced a picture of master Fon. I handed it to the officer. "Name is Fon Obuv, she was born in this town. I think."

(OOC: I don't know what you have in mind for plot, so if I misstep in here, just let me know and I can edit the post to something else. I don't know if her master is actually at this place, but I thought it might be worth having a powerful family either as her allies (like the Tendos) or her enemies (Like the Kunos))

The officer looked at the picture for a moment, then turned his eyes to the delightful flesh that had held it. He grinned foolishly taking the photo from Kathryn and rubbing the edges. Still warm. "Missing, you say? For how long? And are you family? What was your relationship with this individual?"

Another officer in came out of the back, taking a long drink of coffee. "Did you say Obuv?" The first officer just shrugged; having not paid attention to anything except Kat's chest. "No need to report her to us, Miss. That family just about runs this town. They have that big estate on the east side."

"Is that right?" The first officer blinked, "Well, ma'am, mystery solved. Glad to be of service. If you want, we could give you a ride over there."

"That doesn't mean her master is there," a new voice cut in. Both officers looked over sourly at the newcomer. He was a young man, probably Kat's age. His clothes were good and had some style, but they were also worn as if he'd been wearing them a long time. He was tall and strong; yet moved with grace. "You could at least ask some questions around; this girl's obviously concerned." The youth had sandy blond hair that was more or less parted in the middle, draping down to his jawline, and his eyes were brown. "The town doesn't pay you to sit on your asses and ogle cute girls."

"Oh, it's you." The officer with the coffee shook his head, "Still got that attitude too, I see. Look we haven't heard anything about your sensei."

Kyle Takeshina grimaced, "Have you even looked?"

"For a known vagrant and crook? Ha! We're glad he's gone." The man who had taken the picture from Kat was now rubbing it against his cheek. "Wherever he's gone, you should go too. We don't need unwholesome people like you in our town."

"...Not with you guys around." Kyle sighed. He looked over at the girl. She really was cute. "I wouldn't depend on these clowns. If you can, you might want to hire a private detective or something. I hope you can find your friend."

IC: If I can well I can but I can't, at least not with out the aid of my parents. But if my parents were to find out about the curse or of my masters disappearance I would be stuck in the house until I was married. Until I was married, that would be much to long with this curse.

My stomach growled. True enough I had money on me, but I was saving it carefully. I wanted to avoid going home as long as possible. I took the arm of the vagrant. "Thanks again for treating me to coffee like this." I led him out by his arm quickly reaching the door and moving the coffee shop. "Your such a gentlemen," I tilted my body so my breasts brushed against his strong arms. "I assume you want to tell me about your sensei? Are you a martial artist." If he so chose he could look down my shirt and see my modest cleavage, but even modest cleavage helped greatly at getting free meals. "Is he strong? Are you strong?" I kept up the barrage of comments, hoping to get a free meal before he knew what was happening."

Kyle blinked. This was happening fast. He had to restrain the well trained impulse to slam her head into the door as she grabbed his arm in both hands and pulled them out into the street. That wouldn't really make a good impression. And in front of cops? "Wait, coffee? I never said I'd-" and then she pressed her breasts into him, soft, yet firm, warm...

Before he knew what happened, they were in the coffee shop and he's just bought her a gigantic beverage topped with a mound of whipped cream and some sort of brown stuff sprinkled on top. She kept firing questions at him, one after another, before he could answer what she already asked.

"Hold on, damn it!" Kyle held up his hands, "Do you actually want me to answer any of these or what?" He shook his head. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were...wait. I don't know better."

He paused and looked at her carefully. "...I am a martial artist, and yeah, I'm strong. But I think you're trying to scam me and I don't have much money, anyway. So you can cut the act."

Kathryn Shepard

IC: Damn he is on to me. I pursed my lips in what was the start of a pout and then quickly stopped myself. He gets it, and I doubt he'd fall for it twice. "Well act or not, the guy is suppose to treat right?"

I smiled "Well if you are strong what were you in the police station for? Clearly you arn't that good."

"You watch your damn mouth or girl or not, I'll show you how strong I am." Kyle hated fighting girls. He'd do it though. On the street, you fought whoever you had to fight and the women were just as dangerous as the men. "And like you're any better, you were there too, remember?"

He shrugged, "Just because I'm strong doesn't mean I know how to find people. The two don't have anything to do with each other. Besides, the police might have caught the old fool if he was drunk enough or passed out, so it's a worth a shot to check there."

The martial artist crossed his arms over his chest. "And I did treat you to that coffee whatever it is you're drinking now. So a thank you might be nice."

Kathryn Shepard

IC: "Well thank you then. But I am not taking back what I said, why should I? Even you say your master is an old fool." I drink from my cup. "Now please don't be so huffy, this counts as a date you know, and I don't think either one of us is enjoying this conversation."

"Maybe if you hadn't started out insulting me and my sensei, it would be more pleasant." Sure, he could have reacted better, but it wasn't entirely his fault. He wasn't taking the blame for this one. "And yeah, I can call him an old fool 'cause I've earned that right with sweat and blood. No offense, but you haven't."

He shifted in his seat a bit. Her insistance that this was a date had put him off a bit. Again. She was good at that. Kyle looked her over again, as discreetly as he could. She was pretty. "...You're welcome. You know, about the coffee."

Kyle sat there a few long moments in silence. He really didn't know what to say. Making conversation wasn't something he'd been trained in by Usutsemi. "So, uh...you're looking for your master, huh?" Idiot, of course she was. "I'm guessing you're a martial artist too. Do you have a particular style or are you a generalist?"

He didn't know if he was doing well or not. But this felt like a good conversation starter.

Kathryn Shepard

IC: I paused, my first instinct was to go back to the previous discussion but that was a poor idea. "I don't like fighting, I just think it looks cool. And besides it takes the boredom away. That is why I went to the police instead of tracking down my master on my own." That last part was a lie, but I didn't want to seem incompent and say I couldn't find any leads.

"So, do you go to school around here?"

"We're different there," Kyle commented after she spoke. "I do like fighting." He smiled grimly, eager desire briefly flickering in his eyes. "A lot. Maybe too much."

Then she asked about school, and he flinched. The tall youth looked away, his face downcast. She would have to ask about that. His life, his shame. He shouldn't tell her. He should lie. But that wasn't the way of First Pulse Style. That wasn't his way. Normally he'd blow her off, tell her to mind her own business. But there was something about her that impelled him to answer. "...I don't go to school." He turned his head back to the table, still unable to look at her, his eyes fixed on his own cup of coffee. "You have to have a home to go to school, parents for the teachers to talk to, money for books and uniforms...and I don't have any of that."

He put his hands around his cup, feeling the warmth of the beverage within seeping into them. "But it's no big deal." It was a huge deal. But he didn't want to talk about it. Except that he did want to talk about it. He just didn't know who with, but not his cute and weird girl. "What about you? I know you're not from around here. Where's your school?"

Kathryn Shepard

IC: No school, no money, and he likes to fight. Not much of a future for this guy. "In my case, school is my home." I took another bit of the drink. "Oh no, I said that backward, home is school. Makes it simpler when your the only student. But then it also gets troublesome, I never had the option of not doing homework."

"So have you ever wondered what it would be like? To go to school?"

Home schooled, huh? Well that made sense. At least her lack of tact and social graces seemed more reasonable now. At her question, he smiled, but his eyes were sad, "...No," he lied. "Why would I want that? To have to go there all the time, have a place to eat, have friends, play sports maybe, go home to my parents with test scores...who'd want that?" He'd do anything for that. Anything. But it wasn't possible.

Kyle had sunk down in his seat a bit, his eyes distant and haunted. He closed his eyes and sighed, and in that second, all the weariness and hurt and ache of his hard years alone showed on his face, and he looked like an old man. Then it was gone as he straightened up, shrugging, trying to look tough again. "Yeah, school would just be a waste of time. I don't need it." Lies, lies, lies.

He shook his head, still not looking at her. He didn't trust the ache not to show in his eyes. "A lot of kids would call us lucky, you know. Not going to a real school. But it kind of sucks too, you know? I mean, it's not like either of us will be able to list a high school on a job application or a resume. And it doesn't help us that we haven't been able to socialize with people our age either." He shrugged, "I mean...most of my time's been spent with my sensei; an old man who spends his time either teaching me or trying to beat me up to see if I've learned. Doesn't exactly prepare me for success in the world."

Kyle finally looked over at Kat again. "...You know, for what it's worth, I know the home schooling must have sucked sometimes. But...it's good that you had it, and that your parents...you know, care and stuff."

Kathryn Shepard

IC: My mind was off in its own place barely listening to the conversation any more. The simple things in life, the things every one has. To be sitting on the grass waiting for Mom to show up in her car, the soft wind blowing the fresh cut scent of grass my way under the cool autumn sun. Or riding a bike home with friends maybe racing them every now and again. Or even just walking with the warm company of friends on a cold winters day. The simple things in life, the things every one has, except us.

"...You know, for what it's worth, I know the home schooling must have sucked sometimes. But...it's good that you had it, and that your parents...you know, care and stuff." My mind clicked back in at his response.

"Oh yes, they care. They cared so much they left it to others home school me. They cared so much that I got to eat dinner with them if I was lucky." I paused and considered not saying what I was about to say. "At least you know why your parents aren't there. Mine are still alive, but not really there."

Kyle blinked at her for a moment in stunned silence. Had she really just...? His eyes narrowed, hands curling into fists for a moment. Then he took a deep breath. She hadn't meant to say that. Well, she had, but she didn't know what it really meant.

"...I'm not usually this sensitive or whatever." The youth shook his head, "Being ignored like that sucks. It's really a shame that your folks don't take more time with you." It was true. People just didn't know how important it was. They put it off; thinking they'd do it later. But anyone could die at any time and then all that potential was gone. You had to spend your time with your loved ones when you had the chance. "I hope they wise up. But, you know, this is selfish of me, but...I'd give anything to have living parents who ignored me."

Kathryn Shepard

IC: "I didn't mean to upset you." I looked back at the now half empty glass. "I'm just frustrated." I reached into my pocket.

"Listen you aren't a bad guy, you should probably do something to get into school. No sense wasting potential." I set a few bills on the table. "But your ugly, smell bad, and this is the worst date I've ever been on. So I am paying my own, so I don't owe you anything and we can pretend we never met." I didn't feel right taking money from a nice guy, that is as simple as it was. I quickly stood and left the not so bad looking guy.

I could tell he wasn't done talking and that he was upset, but I preferred the idea of remembering him that way over the idea of remembering sad orphan he also was. So I only rushed out faster, quickly turning a corner and leaping over a wall.

That is when I first felt the rain drops.

Kyle stared at her; stunned by the sudden shift and the barrage on insults. He couldn't tell if she was trying to be nice or not. The first part sounded good; but the rest of it...hell with that! No one just said that and walked away from him, girl or not!

She was already gone and out the door before he got to his feet, "Hey! Don't you...damn it!" He dashed out the door after her, scanning up and down the street. "What the hell kind of manners do you have, anyway?" Hell, he lived on the streets and he was better behaved than that brat!

He caught a flicker of motion to the right. Someone had just vaulted that wall. He was so intent on pursuit that he didn't notice the rain starting to fall, or the still strange feeling of his curse taking effect as he leaped over it as well.

A girl landed on the other side of the wall; short and slim but with a knockout figure. Her trousers were loose on the legs but tightened up on her pert ass and her large breasts stretched the material of her red t-shirt. She glared around with fierce blue eyes. "Where'd you go, you brat? You don't get to say things like that to me, damn it!"

Kyle crossed her arms under her breasts, frowning. Damn. She was gone. "...Shit!" She lashed out, kicking a heavy metal dumpster; the blow denting the side and sending the receptacle skidding down the alleyway. It was then that she noticed the guy there. Taller than her, well built, she felt an odd rush of..attraction? No, no way! She blinked. "...What the...hey, don't stare! Doesn't anybody have manners anymore?" She threw her hands up, shaking her head. Then she blinked and turned on the handsome man. "Hey, did you see a girl run down this way?"

Kathryn Shepard

IC: "On a rainy day like this. No, no one has been by." I looked at the slender creature, wondering why she was looking for me. Maybe a girlfriend of the other guy? They do dress alike, kind of creepy really.

"You should head back inside." I peered over at the dumpster, strong girl. I guess she is pissed. "Did the girl still your boyfriend or something? You should let her be, don't let her trick you into running around out in the rain like that. Its not healthy, I myself plan to go inside soon... Assuming I can figure a place to go inside to. I haven't been on the streets very long."
