I never saw a man get killed right in front of my eyes, nor had I ever seen so much blood on the floor, was this really happening? I was only 22 and even though I was pretty smart and all, I wanted a simple life, I worked at the bar in the alley for about a year, and it was easy job, serving drinks and on occasions make cook, I didn't mind, I was quite the chef and the customers really like my cooking, one guy even said it was better than his ma's. However the customers that came in were as one would say on the wrong side of the law, all various members of the mob, I didn't say a thing about it, aside from the fear of getting killed and two because they paid pretty well, in tips alone I made about a thousand dollars a week, doing something I loved.

One night thing were different, a bunch of guys were playing pool and then all of a sudden they got into a fight, I didn't think much of it as I went to the back to clean the dishes. Then I heard them yelling louder, still I ignored it. Finally I heard as one of the pool cues broke as one of the guys hit the floor, I peaked around the corner as the other guy just wailed on him, beating him to a bloody pulp. I looked away hid behind the wall as the other two guys talked to the one in what I thought was Italian, they sounded pretty mad. They picked up the body and left not even checking to where I was.

I looked around to see if the coast was clear. There be the pool table laid a pool of blood. Maybe it was fear of being killed or something, but I immediately went to the back to get the cleaning supplies, and began to clean the blood, mopping, scrubbing, using anything I could to the blood out. It took me all night to clean it. Day broke, and I was exhausted. I sat by the bar laying my head down, until I heard someone step in, I stood up to see a man suit, Tom Capriani, he was the head of the big crime syndicate in the city a very respected man around here. "Manhattan, please" he said to me, I immediately took everything I needed and began mixing the drink, he looked over t me "tough night, huh". "yeah" I responded to him not even trying to look over at him. I served him drink "I apologize for what happened last night" he said as he took a sip of his drink, I didn't say a word, I was too scared. "my men get a bit riled up when playing pool and that something you don't need to deal with....". "Adam" I responded Mr. Capriani smiled "Well Adam you seem like a nice guy and by the look of the floor a smart one, cleaning up the blood, I want to make it up to you". As I saw Mr Capriani go into his coat my heart dropped, afraid I'd be the next one dead. I was relieved when he pulled out his wallet, showing me a picture. "this is my daughter, my princess, I'm afraid she's mixing with a wrong crowd and I want to make sure she's safe, how about I introduce you two?" I didn't know what to say, she was very pretty, but her father was a crime lord I could never get involved with something like that, then again what if I said no? I didn't say a thing, I just nodded my head, "Good" said Mr Capriani "I'll bring her by here tonight" he finished his Manhattan and gave me a $200 tip and left, I locked up and began to go home, wondering what I got myself into.

((I need a girl to play Tom Capriani's daughter, her personality (quiet, spoiled, etc) is up to you, as well as if she's even aware of her father's "job", if you're interested or have any questions, pm me))

Elisa stared out the limo window, her dark chocolate colored eyes were somewhat sulky, and her annoyance was plain on her face. She was quite spoiled, she was given everything she could ever want; when ever she wanted it, and if she couldn't get it one way, there was always another. But her father didn't seem to budge even on this; “I can’t believe you’re trying to fix me up with a bar tender!” she said to her dad looking over at him, her annoyance plain on her face. “Just give him a chance hun, he gave me a bit of help and I’m hoping that you can help me keep him entertained. And besides that, I think you’ll like him, not who you usually go for, but you’ll like him.” Her father smiled to himself and gave a small chuckle.

Elisa wasn’t an idiot, she knew exactly what her father meant by “a bit of help” after all she was 21 years old not 5. The guy probably took out one of her fathers enemies, or cleaned up a mess the idiot hit men had left behind. Letting out a sigh she brushed off the black skirt she was wearing, she knew this particular skirt annoyed her father, and this was her form of payback for making her go out with this guy. She was really going to turn on the charm for this guy, just to see how pissed off she could get her father. But she wouldn’t get him killed, that would be just cruel.

As they pulled up to the bar Elisa looked around then to her father before one of her guards opened the door and helped her out. “Just smile and make it through tonight, maybe I’ll get you something nice if you behave yourself.” Elisa rolled her eyes and flipped her dark hair over her shoulders. “I’d much rather you not make me be followed by these guys.” she said nodding at her bodyguards. She noticed her father’s annoyed glance at her outfit and smiled, “What is it daddy?” she said jokingly before walking inside after the guards her hips swaying tantalizingly as the entered the dim lighted room.

She looked around, it wasn’t as bad as she thought it’d be, it was obvious though that there was something that happened the night before. As the walked up to the bar a man came out and Elisa smiled, if this was him, she would definitely stop her complaining. Her eyes trailed over his form, enjoying the very sight of him as he smiled nervously. She made sure not to seem to happy, after all as quickly as her father had been to make her come here, he was known to change his mind fast. So she just waited smiling a bit seductively at him waiting for her father to make the introductions.

When I got to my apartment, I was exhausted. I barely managed to make it upstairs to my door. I walked in and sure enough the came Eddie running to me, only a few months old and the pup was already attached to me. He gave out a small whimper knowing something was. I just smiled as I made it to my bathroom, as tired as I was, I had to get the stench of blood an ammonia off me. After I scrubbed the smell off me, I just down down in the shower trying to get the sight of the dead body out of head. As I got out of the shower and into some new clothes, I put my clothes from last night in the washer, after that I fell on my bed and went right to sleep, the thought of tonight now looming in my mind.

Now

There I was standing next to the bar, wearing some suit Mr Capriani had delivered to me with a note:

You only get one chance to make a good first impression, here's something that may help with that.

From the looks of what he gave me it was pretty expensive, so I decided to wear it. Black suit, white shirt black shoes, black short hair, and dark brown eyes, not to sound full of myself, but I looked good. I didn't bother putting on the tie, I never did like how they choked my neck. I continued to stand there my heart racing with fear and anticipation as I waited for the what would happened next.

I heard the door open and came up to the two and looked at over"Wow..." it was all I could say as I saw Mr. Capriani's daughter. Usually the first thing I noticed about a girl was their eyes, and her's were quite beautiful, a bit brighter than mine. Overall though, her picture that her father showed me didn't do her justice. Mr Capriani came up to me with a kind smile as he put his hand on my shoulder "Adam this is my daughter, Elisa" he said "Honey, this is...." "Adam..." I interrupted, my nervousness almost obvious in my voice "Adam Hagen..it's nice to meet you" Mr Capriani smiled, I suppose he approved my enthusiasm "you two better get going, I made reservations for you two" said her father "I hope you don't mind me and the boys having our meeting here do you, Adam?" I shook my head "that's fine, sir" I said. And with that Mr. Capriani walked me and Elisa to the limo, I entered first. Mr Capriani put his hands on Elisa's shoulder and smiled "You look just like your mother, God bless her soul", he said softly to her, "try to have a good time" I saw as he gave her a fatherly kiss on the cheek and guided in, he closed the limo door, and walked back into the bar as we began to move.
