It was 9:00 am as Trevor unlocked the door to the shop putting his coat into the back room looking around making sure everything was in order. However when you worked at an occult shop, it was sort of hard to tell what went where, though it wasn't too hard for him he sorted by regions and religion, not too difficult for him. He had been always fascinated by the study of demons and all sorts of folklore, it was something he picked up from his grandpa who always used to tell all sorts of stories when he was little most made up about their family or so he assumed. It was perhaps why he bought the shop. Sadly business was sort of dead at times only getting the few customers every so often, but it didn't really bother him that much most of the people who came in didn't know the first thing about the occult. Even though he was 22 he felt like this was all for him, running an occult shop in this town alone, that was it. He couldn't even find anyone to hire as most people's knowledge came from reading Anne Rice novels and watching the Exorcist. Trevor sat down, running his fingers from his black hair as he listened to the radio, waiting for someone to come in.

((open to one girl to play well, the devil's daughter not, who gets close to Trevor, the problem is her father(the Devil) does not want her around him, for reason that will be revealed later on. She's not necessarily evil(a little rebellious perhaps), nor does she look like a demon. Also she is aware of this, though it does not seem like a big deal to her, Trevor is not, if you have any question pm me. ))

I don'tunderstnd why Daddy threw such a fit when I said I was going to this dinky little town. I just want to get away from the whole 'she's Lucifer's Daughter' croud for a while. But the more he tried to change my mind, the more I just had to hve my way and come here.

I really just want to find out who I am outside my father's sphere of influence, which is admittedly quite large.

In the end, he let me have my way on the condition that I stayed away from some guy named Trevor who owned a shop selling items of the occult. I agreed. But now that I'm here, I can't find anything to do and am bored out of my freaking mind.

In all my self-searching intentions, I'd never considered the fact that the town was in the middle of the Bible belt and just what that might entail.

I finally picked up a newspaper and found an ad in the Help Wanted section. It was for a occult shop and said to call Trevor. Oh well, I had been crossing my fingers anyways. Guess when it comes right down to it, I'm just my father's daughter.

As always it was slow in the store, the only customer that came in was some goth kid asking for an Ouija board, to which Trevor simply responded "try Toys r Us". It was quiet and when it was quiet, it became one of those moment that made Trevor think about his life, he hated doing that, all it did was depress him. He momentarily closed his eyes and laid his head on the counter. Suddenly he heard the phone ringing next to him, making him stand up in surprise. He picked up the phone and put it to his ear "hello..." he said.

I walked to a nearby diner and asked i I might use the phone for a local call. They placed it on the counter as I placed my order for lunch. I dialed the number from th ad and heard someone answer.

"Hello," said a man's voice from the other end of the line.

"Hello, I'm calling about the ad I saw in the paper. It said to call Trevor at this number. Is this Trevor?" I inquired. He assured me it was he and I asked after the position. He asked me a number of questions that I'm sure most anyone would know the answers to. They were all on various facets of the occult and I had learned it all by the time I'd reached ten. He sounded impressed though I couldn't say why.

I asked where exactly in town his shop was located. It was a small enough town that I was fairly certain it was on Main Street or just off of it, but it would simplify matters knowing which direction to head in.

I wrote down the address and told him I'd be there shortly. I hung up and thanked the woman behind the counter as I returned the phone to her. I paid my tab and left a nice tip.

I walked out the door and took a left. It was perhaps a ten minute walk from the diner. Looking at it from the outside, I found the building to be a bit shabby but the window display was well ordered and hinted at what I might find inside.

I've never really gone against Daddy's wishes before. Well, there was that time that I let a few spirits loose to haunt a girl who had been calling me names, but that doesn't count. I was angry then. Would I be Daddy's good girl or Daddy's bad girl? I smiled to myself as I walked to the door and opened it. A tiny bell rang. How quaint.

"Hello, I'm Cynthia Burns. I called earlier," I said as my eyes adjusted to the dimness of the shop.

It was a bit of a shock to Trevor when someone had called about the job, fortunately for him he did have a set of questions prepared, all of was basic stuff he had learned from his grandpa or stuff he studied awhile. To his surprise, the women answered every question with flying colors, not many people around here knew that type of stuff. She had asked for the address and of course Trevor gave it to her.

After she said she would be there soon, he said okay as he hung the phone. he figured he would could at least clean the place a bit, but the place always look the way it did, organized, yet still dang, "yeah this girl will love it here" he thought to himself.

Trevor look up as he heard the bell ring from the door, and then he saw her. She was very pretty, Trevor couldn't deny that, but the something else about her, as if there was a presence around her, he couldn't quite describe it. As she introduced, Trevor did the same "Nice to meet you, I'm Trevor, Trevor Sadler" he responded not taking his eyes off her. "I gotta say was really impressed with how much you know, but I exactly why do you want work here, it's not exactly the best paying job".

"Nice to meet you, I'm Trevor, Trevor Sadler" a voiced informed me as my eyes adjusted to the lack of sunlight. "I gotta say was really impressed with how much you know, but I exactly why do you want work here, it's not exactly the best paying job."

I walked toward the man who'd just introduced himself. He looked kinda cute and appeared to be in his early 20's. I had raised my eyebrows at his surprise that I had known the answers to his questions and now wondered at his curiosity as to why I would wish to work here.

"You can call me Cyn. As to why I want to work here, I'm honestly bored and was hoping that this might make the time I spend here a bit more interesting. The money isn't an issue. My father provides a more than adequate allowance for my needs," I told him.

Trevor had little to argue with, he could use some help and being that money wasn't a factor seemed better. 'Cyn' he thought to himself 'that's creative', he stood and stood next to Cyn "You're hired" he said to her "come on I'll show you around". He walked by showing where everything was, and then led her to the back, where the more valuable stuff was. It was compiled of various religious book, documents pertaining to exorcisms and black masses, to name a few. Trevor then came to a large crate. "This came by last night, apparently everything in it belonged to a witch in Salem about 200 years ago, we gotta sort it all out tonight, unless you want to start working some other time" he said. Trevor wouldn't blame her for not wanting to start right away, but he did need the help.
