Hey guys. I usually do most of my stuff over on the ORP but thought this idea would fit better here.
What I am thinking, is that Watchmen, one of my favorite graphic novels ever, is currently in the spotlight with a major hollywood flick and all. So, what I thought would be interesting, was if we did a Watchmen 20 years later thread.
Ozymandias detonated the "Alien Invasion" as planned. The world shook in fear. World leaders band together and form a peaceful trust. Then, Rorschach gets his revenge. His diary is posted for the world to see in The New Frontiersman. At first people disbelieve it. He was a criminal. A psychopath. However, someone, supplies files, documents, incriminating evidence, to the world. Ozymandias has gone into hiding. The world remains vigilant. The world remains united.
For now.
In the wake of all of this, the world has found it's need for heroes once more. After the disappearance of Nite Owl and Silk Spectre, and the exile of Doctor Manhattan, the world felt woefully unprepared for the machinations of someone like Adrian Veidt. This world has found a new generation of heroes. After all...

I want to find people that would be interested in this idea. I do not intend for the thread to be overly sexual, although certainly, that has been an aspect of Watchmen since the first comic. However, given the graphic nature of the world in which Watchmen takes place, I felt this was the right place to put this idea. There are many possibilities for characters, from a Nite Owl 3 to those that may have been altered by the science that pervades this society, or those that may have somehow been altered, awakened, by the psychic blast that Veidt unleashed.
I am open to most any idea, PM or post here if you have any questions.
