Two Moons, Worthy of a Master by Chelsea Shepard
Did you like the book overall or not?
Overall, yes. It had some fairly transparent flaws and misperceptions about BDSM IMO and plot but it was still a light enjoyable read.
Do you feel it portrays BDSM in a real way, a positive way and/or your way?
At times. yes, but in other scenes, no. Consent was the key thing in BDSM. That was a great thing to see in a work of fiction!
Did you like the sex scenes in the book?
I enjoyed some of the sex scenes. There was some pretty imaginative stuff in there.
However the first scene where she had set something up but not communicated enough, then resented her partner, acted like a brat and sent him away really pissed me off.
I find long term wear of such things as nipple clamps and binding to be irritating as I feel that is potentially damaging to the pyl and overused in fiction giving people the idea these are good ideas that can actually be done with no risk or harm.
Did you like the rest of the book, the story in it?
I liked the idea of a world in which kink was prevalent. It could have been even more interesting if some straight nilla types were on that world / ship and felt persecuted. What a turn around that would be LOL!
The storyline was pretty thin but somewhat interesting.
Would you be interested in reading another book by this author?
I wouldn't mind seeing where the characters went next.

It was very imaginative. The Master was a decent guy who truly seemed to love the bratling in the end.

The lead character being a brat who wasn't particularly kind to her earth lovers and took little or no responsibility to actually communicate.
The idea that she couldn't be happy with any other Master than her "perfect" one and could fairly easily do anything he wanted. He wanted everything on the menu which I also think is pretty unrealistic.
How would you have changed the story?
I would make it more realistic less fairy tale-ish, as in, "Someday my Prince / Master will come."

Here are the nominations so far:
1.) Kushiel's Justice by Jacqueline Carey
Bestseller Carey's fifth book in her Kushiel's Legacy series, volume two of her Imriel fantasy trilogy (after 2006's Kushiel's Scion), is a moody tale of violence and divided loyalties. Phèdre nó Delaunay, the sexually adventurous heroine of the first trilogy, has become a placid foster mother to Prince Imriel, son of the unseen traitor Melisande Shahrizai.
Carey's infamous explicit sex scenes now portray Imriel's illicit and often violent affair with Sidonie, daughter of Queen Ysandre. Their romance is frustrated by Imriel's obligation to marry Dorelei, an Alban princess, and beget future rulers of Alba. When Dorelei and her unborn son are betrayed and Imriel is badly wounded, he finds himself torn between his vow to avenge his wife and child and his desire to seek solace in Sidonie's arms. His inner conflicts are ameliorated by religious faith, a change from previous books that may please some readers and dismay others. Imriel serves well as protagonist, however, and events are clearly building to what promises to be a spectacular climax in the sixth volume.
2.) Queen of the Darkness , by Anne Bishop.
"Queen of the Darkness" is the third and last book in Anne Bishop's extraordinary "Black Jewels Trilogy." This is a strong novel which truly enhances the material in the first two books and provides a most fitting conclusion to this epic series. I would strongly advise reading the books in order, beginning with "Daughter of the Blood" and then "Heir to the Shadows" to best appreciate the intricate story, characters and unique world that Ms. Bishop has created. I only wish the author had written a quartet!
3.) Shocking Pink edited by Erica Spindler
Andie Bennett and her two friends, Raven and Julie, lives were changed during the summer they were fifteen. What started out as a lark between three teenage girls soon turned into something deadly.
For Andie, seeing the shocking sexual acts performed by two faceless people was horrifying. She had never realized that there were people in the world who got satsifaction from the sick sexual acts she has witnessed. Raven was facsinated by the control that 'Mr. X' had over 'Mrs. X'.
All her life she has strove for control over her life and the people in it. Julie has always believed her father, the Reverend that she was the spawn of the Devil and is heartbroken to find herself aroused by the acts that she has seen go on in the abandoned house. Then their world was rocked when one night, Mr. X left and Mrs. X was found dead two days later.
4.) Topping From Below by Laura Reese.
The title of this devilishly pornographic?albeit literate?novel is taken from the argot of sadomasochism and refers to a rebellious dynamic in which the dominant partner (the "top") is subtly manipulated by the submissive partner (the "bottom"). After her young sister, Franny, is found murdered?bound, gagged and mutilated?Nora Tibbs, a journalist for the Sacramento Bee, discovers in Franny's computer a diary that details her brief affair with "M.," an arrogant music professor in his late 40s. Cruelly exploiting the overweight, love-starved woman, M. forced Franny to submit to a humiliating gamut of outre sexual practices. Convinced that M. is Franny's murderer, Nora sets out to prove his guilt by pretending to submit to his depraved aberrations. But, to her astonishment, she discovers a dark, pagan side of herself when M. enthralls her with intense, if perilous, sexual pleasure. Graphic descriptions of exotic sexual practices (bondage and discipline, sadomasochism, bestiality, etc.) accumulate, counterpointed by Nora's sweetly romantic relationship with a fellow reporter. The suspense, a bit attenuated by thin secondary characters, also is muted by artless foreshadowing, but the conclusion is satisfying in a savage sort of way and Nora's plunge "down, all the way down" under M.'s manipulations will keep most readers gripped even as they're aware that Reese's shameless pandering is manipulating them in turn. Comparison to Story of O is well earned. 100,000 first printing; Literary Guild and Doubleday Recommended for adult fiction collections.
5.) Top of Her Game by Emma Holly
Style and sensuality. Power and passion...There's something about the Parisian boutique Meilleurs Amis that provokes all who enter to blur the line between business and pleasure. No one knows this better than Beatrix Clouet, the daughter of its infamous and not-so-dearly departed founder, and her best friend-and new management trainee-Lela Turner.

6.) One Dark Night by Jaid Black.
Finally! A Jaid Black book with a meaningful plot! I was actually engrossed in the mystery of this little who-done-it and not just in the sex scenes. Reading many of Jaid's other stories is a cross between the story line of a cheap porno and the sickeningly sweet endings of a childhood fairy tale. But not this book! Amazing! I hope she keeps it up!
7.) Gordon by Edith Templeton.
Originally written under a pseudonym, this thrilling novel of passion in post-World War II London was banned upon its publication in the late 1960s, and is only now being republished under the author’s real name. Edith Templeton creates an indelible character in the smartly dressed Louisa, a savvy young woman in the midst of a divorce who meets a charismatic man in a pub and within an hour has been sexually conquered by him on a garden bench. 8.) Butterfly by Kathryn Harvey.

Victor Mancini is a ruthless con artist. Welcome, once again, to the world of Chuck Palahniuk.
"Art never comes from happiness." So says Mancini's mother only a few pages into the novel. Given her own dicey and melodramatic style of parenting, you would think that her son's life would be chock-full of nothing but art. Alas, that's not the case. In the fine tradition of Oedipus, Stephen Dedalus, and Anthony Soprano, Victor hasn't quite reconciled his issues with his mother. Instead, he's trawling sexual-addiction recovery meetings for dates and purposely choking in restaurants for a few moments of attention. Longing for a hug, in other words, he's settling for the Heimlich.

14. Carrie's Story: An Erotic S/M Novel (Paperback) by Molly Weatherfield
At the outset, I should say that once you have read Carrie's Story you will probably want to read the sequel "Safe Word". This book is outstanding as an exploration of BDSM. Told from the submissive's viewpoint (ie as a first person narrative) it affords us a marvellous insight into the mind of someone who would place themselves at the mercy of another person, fully understanding of the pain and suffering that might result. But of course it also provides the answering motivation, the intensity of experience, the absolution from decision, the pleasure obtained from subordinating one's own desires to those of another.
It is the self-critical (what other reviewers have termed sassy) self-awareness of the central character that carries throughout this novel that makes it so special. This is delivered in a light-hearted, but brutally honest manner.
No question it is highly erotic. But there are many other novels that achieve that. This one transcends the mere erotic and captivates the reader. The author generates a tension that draws the reader on and enfolds you in the story. I have not found that in an erotic novel since reading The Story Of O - and I can give Carrie's Story no better praise than that comparison.
15. Breaking the Girl by Kim Corum

This has been a huge bestseller all of Europe and for good reason. It is a crime novel which combines a great plot with really powerful themes such as intolerance and corporate corruption. I'm really looking forward to the next two books in the trilogy.
19.) Playing Easy to Get by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jaid Black, Kresley Cole
The Anthology "Playing Easy to Get" is one of the better anthologies out there. All three contributing authors have gifted the reader with some alpha yummy hero's and paired with feisty heroines. The end result...one hot entertaining read!
Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Turn up the Heat" is one fun read. Allison spends her days cleaning up aisle "whatever" in her local Wal-Mart. When her friend suggests that she should enter a contest where the winner can live out her favorite romance novel she at first scoffs...ya like she's ever going to win anything. But, she does and the second she sets eyes on Vince...she knows her life will never be the same. Vince is on the run from "the family" they want him dead, and he's rather attached to the concept of living to see another day. So when his best friend from childhood saves his bacon and finds him a safe place to hide out he's all for it...that is until he sees Allison getting off the plane. Now staying one step ahead of the bad guys is not his only priority. Now he has to keep a lid on his lust. Will he be able to do this or will this bad boy finally give in?
Jaid Black's "Hunter's Oath" is the story of Sofia. She's just been bride napped by one scary looking cabbie. She's alone in life now since her brother was recently killed in active duty. She's wondering what life has to hold for her now. Well she should have been careful what she questioned. Because now she is going to live underground in a lost Viking world as the bought bride of Johen Stefsson for the rest of her life. But, will this be as bad as she thinks it will or has she just found her hearts desire?
Kresley Cole's debut paranormal read "The Warlord Wants Forever" Myst is a Valkyrie with a problem...she's the forever bride of a vampire. Now lets just forget the fact Valkyrie's and Vampires don't mix...ever...she happens to be attracted to him. Wroth is everything she's been taught to hate. Will she be able to put a lifetime's teaching behind her and accept her fate as this handsome vampires bride or will she let pride and family get in the way?
All three of these short stories are yummy! Now readers should keep in mind...these are not full-length efforts but the author have made the most out of the word count allotted them. Ms. Cole's debut paranormal effort is very good and I look forward to reading her next book. It goes without say that Ms. Black and Ms. Kenyon know their stuff. Ms. Kenyon offers readers another BAD book and Ms. Black's Viking story...hot, hot, and hot. For a quick but very entertaining read...look no further. You won't find so much talent in one book very often.

14. Carrie's Story: An Erotic S/M Novel (Paperback) by Molly Weatherfield
At the outset, I should say that once you have read Carrie's Story you will probably want to read the sequel "Safe Word". This book is outstanding as an exploration of BDSM. Told from the submissive's viewpoint (ie as a first person narrative) it affords us a marvellous insight into the mind of someone who would place themselves at the mercy of another person, fully understanding of the pain and suffering that might result. But of course it also provides the answering motivation, the intensity of experience, the absolution from decision, the pleasure obtained from subordinating one's own desires to those of another.
It is the self-critical (what other reviewers have termed sassy) self-awareness of the central character that carries throughout this novel that makes it so special. This is delivered in a light-hearted, but brutally honest manner.
No question it is highly erotic. But there are many other novels that achieve that. This one transcends the mere erotic and captivates the reader. The author generates a tension that draws the reader on and enfolds you in the story. I have not found that in an erotic novel since reading The Story Of O - and I can give Carrie's Story no better praise than that comparison.

This has been a huge bestseller all of Europe and for good reason. It is a crime novel which combines a great plot with really powerful themes such as intolerance and corporate corruption. I'm really looking forward to the next two books in the trilogy.
19.) Playing Easy to Get by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jaid Black, Kresley Cole
The Anthology "Playing Easy to Get" is one of the better anthologies out there. All three contributing authors have gifted the reader with some alpha yummy hero's and paired with feisty heroines. The end result...one hot entertaining read!
Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Turn up the Heat" is one fun read. Allison spends her days cleaning up aisle "whatever" in her local Wal-Mart. When her friend suggests that she should enter a contest where the winner can live out her favorite romance novel she at first scoffs...ya like she's ever going to win anything. But, she does and the second she sets eyes on Vince...she knows her life will never be the same. Vince is on the run from "the family" they want him dead, and he's rather attached to the concept of living to see another day. All three of these short stories are yummy! Now readers should keep in mind...these are not full-length efforts but the author have made the most out of the word count allotted them. Ms. Cole's debut paranormal effort is very good and I look forward to reading her next book. It goes without say that Ms. Black and Ms. Kenyon know their stuff. Ms. Kenyon offers readers another BAD book and Ms. Black's Viking story...hot, hot, and hot. For a quick but very entertaining read...look no further. You won't find so much talent in one book very often.

Did you like the book overall or not?
Overall, yes. In the beginning I was irritated by the sameness of it. By the end I was intrigued and wanted to know more but then it ended! *grr*
Do you feel it portrays BDSM in a real way, a positive way and/or your way?
Sort of. Her idea of being topped and what BDSM is isn't mine. It's way too soft. I suspect LKH thinks she knows a lot more about BDSM than she actually knows. Either that or her kind isn't my kind at ALL.
However consent is there, so that's cool. There wasn't much BDSM in it really except in the themes of Supernatural power.
Did you like the sex scenes in the book?
No. At this point the sex scenes in Laurell K. Hamilton's books bore me. They are way too repetitive.
Did you like the rest of the book, the story in it?
Sometimes yes and sometimes no. I find the constant emotional analyzation irritating. What little storyline was really in the story was interesting but as is usual lately, there was far too little of it.
Would you be interested in reading another book by this author?
Somehow, I am still interested. I would like to see where it goes or if it ever goes anywhere.
What did you like best about this selection?
The intrigue about what may happen in the future. The action scenes that were NOT about sex.

Repetitive sex scenes and endless analyzation of everything. I found it amusing in an ironic way when Jason said to Anita that she was always so present during sex and thinking only about the sex. Um, nope. That's so far from how it's written.
I found it interesting and yet somehow irritating that Richard's asshole-ness of late is now being blamed on her rage being transferred to him. Considering a normal divorce that was an interesting way of looking at it. I just don't think Richard should be let off the hook for being the biggest jerk in the book and the blame pointed at Anita.
How would you have changed the story?
I would make it less repetitive and put more storyline in it.

Eh. I don't know if I ever think that her books are really bdsm-y. They're more kinky sex, than bdsm. Like Fury I don't necessarily agree with her feelings on bdsm, but I just think that what she wants and sees is different than what I want and see.

OMG! I finished this month's book last night! It was pretty hot and perfect for my night out with my husband in a hotel room. LOL.

Here are the nominations so far:
1.) Kushiel's Justice by Jacqueline Carey
Bestseller Carey's fifth book in her Kushiel's Legacy series, volume two of her Imriel fantasy trilogy (after 2006's Kushiel's Scion), is a moody tale of violence and divided loyalties. Phèdre nó Delaunay, the sexually adventurous heroine of the first trilogy, has become a placid foster mother to Prince Imriel, son of the unseen traitor Melisande Shahrizai.
Carey's infamous explicit sex scenes now portray Imriel's illicit and often violent affair with Sidonie, daughter of Queen Ysandre. Their romance is frustrated by Imriel's obligation to marry Dorelei, an Alban princess, and beget future rulers of Alba. 2.) Queen of the Darkness , by Anne Bishop.
"Queen of the Darkness" is the third and last book in Anne Bishop's extraordinary "Black Jewels Trilogy." This is a strong novel which truly enhances the material in the first two books and provides a most fitting conclusion to this epic series. I would strongly advise reading the books in order, beginning with "Daughter of the Blood" and then "Heir to the Shadows" to best appreciate the intricate story, characters and unique world that Ms. Bishop has created. I only wish the author had written a quartet!
3.) Shocking Pink edited by Erica Spindler
Andie Bennett and her two friends, Raven and Julie, lives were changed during the summer they were fifteen. What started out as a lark between three teenage girls soon turned into something deadly.
For Andie, seeing the shocking sexual acts performed by two faceless people was horrifying. She had never realized that there were people in the world who got satsifaction from the sick sexual acts she has witnessed. Raven was facsinated by the control that 'Mr. X' had over 'Mrs. X'.
All her life she has strove for control over her life and the people in it. Julie has always believed her father, the Reverend that she was the spawn of the Devil and is heartbroken to find herself aroused by the acts that she has seen go on in the abandoned house. Then their world was rocked when one night, Mr. X left and Mrs. X was found dead two days later.
4.) Topping From Below by Laura Reese.
The title of this devilishly pornographic?albeit literate?novel is taken from the argot of sadomasochism and refers to a rebellious dynamic in which the dominant partner (the "top") is subtly manipulated by the submissive partner (the "bottom"). After her young sister, Franny, is found murdered?bound, gagged and mutilated?Nora Tibbs, a journalist for the Sacramento Bee, discovers in Franny's computer a diary that details her brief affair with "M.," an arrogant music professor in his late 40s. Cruelly exploiting the overweight, love-starved woman, M. forced Franny to submit to a humiliating gamut of outre sexual practices. Convinced that M. is Franny's murderer, Nora sets out to prove his guilt by pretending to submit to his depraved aberrations. But, to her astonishment, she discovers a dark, pagan side of herself when M. enthralls her with intense, if perilous, sexual pleasure. Graphic descriptions of exotic sexual practices (bondage and discipline, sadomasochism, bestiality, etc.) accumulate, counterpointed by Nora's sweetly romantic relationship with a fellow reporter. The suspense, a bit attenuated by thin secondary characters, also is muted by artless foreshadowing, but the conclusion is satisfying in a savage sort of way and Nora's plunge "down, all the way down" under M.'s manipulations will keep most readers gripped even as they're aware that Reese's shameless pandering is manipulating them in turn. Comparison to Story of O is well earned. 100,000 first printing; Literary Guild and Doubleday Recommended for adult fiction collections.
5.) All U Can Eat by Emma Holly
This is one of the most explicit novels I have read and I love it! I enjoyed it almost as much as Beyond Seduction and Personal Assets, my favorite Holly novels. The scenes with Frankie and Mike, the young stray looking for a job, are scorching.
The scenes with Pete and Dave are also hot. They remind me of the stuff Holly wrote in Menage and Strange Attractions. She seems to enjoy writing male-with-male scenes in her books and often makes her heroes either bisexual or as having bisexual tendencies. This doesn't bother me, for I've enjoyed Holly's male swingers scenes, but I know this sort of thing goes beyond some people's comfort level. So, if you're the sort of reader who's put off with males who are comfortable in their sexuality to do things with men as well as with women, then you should steer clear from this one. It is only fair for the reader to know what he or she is getting themselves into.
Anyway, the characters are rather interesting here and the sex scenes are well blended with the overall plot. The mystery aspect is kind of predictable and this is something Holly should work on if writing mysteries is something she plans to do more of in the future. Jack West is my favorite character. It is clear from the beginning that he is not just Frankie's potential sex partner but also her love interest. I enjoyed the development of this character and the sexual tension between him and Frankie is classic Holly writing. All U Can Eat is one H-O-T read! This is a book you should take to read on the beach. Just be sure to head for the ocean and splash about in cold water if you don't have a partner handy while reading this. This novel has reawakened my love for Holly's writing and I look forward to reading her future books.
6.) One Dark Night by Jaid Black.
Finally! A Jaid Black book with a meaningful plot! I was actually engrossed in the mystery of this little who-done-it and not just in the sex scenes. Reading many of Jaid's other stories is a cross between the story line of a cheap porno and the sickeningly sweet endings of a childhood fairy tale. But not this book! Amazing! I hope she keeps it up!

14. Carrie's Story: An Erotic S/M Novel (Paperback) by Molly Weatherfield
At the outset, I should say that once you have read Carrie's Story you will probably want to read the sequel "Safe Word". This book is outstanding as an exploration of BDSM. Told from the submissive's viewpoint (ie as a first person narrative) it affords us a marvellous insight into the mind of someone who would place themselves at the mercy of another person, fully understanding of the pain and suffering that might result. But of course it also provides the answering motivation, the intensity of experience, the absolution from decision, the pleasure obtained from subordinating one's own desires to those of another.
It is the self-critical (what other reviewers have termed sassy) self-awareness of the central character that carries throughout this novel that makes it so special. This is delivered in a light-hearted, but brutally honest manner.
No question it is highly erotic. But there are many other novels that achieve that. This one transcends the mere erotic and captivates the reader. The author generates a tension that draws the reader on and enfolds you in the story. I have not found that in an erotic novel since reading The Story Of O - and I can give Carrie's Story no better praise than that comparison.

This has been a huge bestseller all of Europe and for good reason. It is a crime novel which combines a great plot with really powerful themes such as intolerance and corporate corruption. I'm really looking forward to the next two books in the trilogy.
19.) Playing Easy to Get by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jaid Black, Kresley Cole
The Anthology "Playing Easy to Get" is one of the better anthologies out there. All three contributing authors have gifted the reader with some alpha yummy hero's and paired with feisty heroines. The end result...one hot entertaining read!
Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Turn up the Heat" is one fun read. Allison spends her days cleaning up aisle "whatever" in her local Wal-Mart. When her friend suggests that she should enter a contest where the winner can live out her favorite romance novel she at first scoffs...ya like she's ever going to win anything. But, she does and the second she sets eyes on Vince...she knows her life will never be the same. Vince is on the run from "the family" they want him dead, and he's rather attached to the concept of living to see another day. Will she be able to put a lifetime's teaching behind her and accept her fate as this handsome vampires bride or will she let pride and family get in the way?
All three of these short stories are yummy! Now readers should keep in mind...these are not full-length efforts but the author have made the most out of the word count allotted them. Ms. Cole's debut paranormal effort is very good and I look forward to reading her next book. It goes without say that Ms. Black and Ms. Kenyon know their stuff. Ms. Kenyon offers readers another BAD book and Ms. Black's Viking story...hot, hot, and hot. For a quick but very entertaining read...look no further. You won't find so much talent in one book very often.

"Queen of the Darkness" is the third and last book in Anne Bishop's extraordinary "Black Jewels Trilogy." This is a strong novel which truly enhances the material in the first two books and provides a most fitting conclusion to this epic series. I would strongly advise reading the books in order, beginning with "Daughter of the Blood" and then "Heir to the Shadows" to best appreciate the intricate story, characters and unique world that Ms. Bishop has created. I only wish the author had written a quartet!
3.) Shocking Pink edited by Erica Spindler
Andie Bennett and her two friends, Raven and Julie, lives were changed during the summer they were fifteen. What started out as a lark between three teenage girls soon turned into something deadly.
For Andie, seeing the shocking sexual acts performed by two faceless people was horrifying. She had never realized that there were people in the world who got satsifaction from the sick sexual acts she has witnessed. Raven was facsinated by the control that 'Mr. X' had over 'Mrs. X'.

Cruelly exploiting the overweight, love-starved woman, M. forced Franny to submit to a humiliating gamut of outre sexual practices. Convinced that M. is Franny's murderer, Nora sets out to prove his guilt by pretending to submit to his depraved aberrations. But, to her astonishment, she discovers a dark, pagan side of herself when M. enthralls her with intense, if perilous, sexual pleasure. Graphic descriptions of exotic sexual practices (bondage and discipline, sadomasochism, bestiality, etc.) accumulate, counterpointed by Nora's sweetly romantic relationship with a fellow reporter. The suspense, a bit attenuated by thin secondary characters, also is muted by artless foreshadowing, but the conclusion is satisfying in a savage sort of way and Nora's plunge "down, all the way down" under M.'s manipulations will keep most readers gripped even as they're aware that Reese's shameless pandering is manipulating them in turn. 5.) All U Can Eat by Emma Holly
This is one of the most explicit novels I have read and I love it! I enjoyed it almost as much as Beyond Seduction and Personal Assets, my favorite Holly novels. The scenes with Frankie and Mike, the young stray looking for a job, are scorching.
The scenes with Pete and Dave are also hot. They remind me of the stuff Holly wrote in Menage and Strange Attractions. She seems to enjoy writing male-with-male scenes in her books and often makes her heroes either bisexual or as having bisexual tendencies. This doesn't bother me, for I've enjoyed Holly's male swingers scenes, but I know this sort of thing goes beyond some people's comfort level. So, if you're the sort of reader who's put off with males who are comfortable in their sexuality to do things with men as well as with women, then you should steer clear from this one. It is only fair for the reader to know what he or she is getting themselves into.
Anyway, the characters are rather interesting here and the sex scenes are well blended with the overall plot. The mystery aspect is kind of predictable and this is something Holly should work on if writing mysteries is something she plans to do more of in the future. Jack West is my favorite character. It is clear from the beginning that he is not just Frankie's potential sex partner but also her love interest. I enjoyed the development of this character and the sexual tension between him and Frankie is classic Holly writing. All U Can Eat is one H-O-T read! This is a book you should take to read on the beach. Just be sure to head for the ocean and splash about in cold water if you don't have a partner handy while reading this. This novel has reawakened my love for Holly's writing and I look forward to reading her future books.
6.) One Dark Night by Jaid Black.
Finally! A Jaid Black book with a meaningful plot! I was actually engrossed in the mystery of this little who-done-it and not just in the sex scenes. Reading many of Jaid's other stories is a cross between the story line of a cheap porno and the sickeningly sweet endings of a childhood fairy tale. But not this book! Amazing! I hope she keeps it up!
7.) Gordon by Edith Templeton.
Originally written under a pseudonym, this thrilling novel of passion in post-World War II London was banned upon its publication in the late 1960s, and is only now being republished under the author’s real name. Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Turn up the Heat" is one fun read. Allison spends her days cleaning up aisle "whatever" in her local Wal-Mart. When her friend suggests that she should enter a contest where the winner can live out her favorite romance novel she at first scoffs...ya like she's ever going to win anything. But, she does and the second she sets eyes on Vince...she knows her life will never be the same. Vince is on the run from "the family" they want him dead, and he's rather attached to the concept of living to see another day. So when his best friend from childhood saves his bacon and finds him a safe place to hide out he's all for it...that is until he sees Allison getting off the plane. Now staying one step ahead of the bad guys is not his only priority. Now he has to keep a lid on his lust. Will he be able to do this or will this bad boy finally give in?
Jaid Black's "Hunter's Oath" is the story of Sofia. She's just been bride napped by one scary looking cabbie. She's alone in life now since her brother was recently killed in active duty. She's wondering what life has to hold for her now. Well she should have been careful what she questioned. Because now she is going to live underground in a lost Viking world as the bought bride of Johen Stefsson for the rest of her life. But, will this be as bad as she thinks it will or has she just found her hearts desire?
Kresley Cole's debut paranormal read "The Warlord Wants Forever" Myst is a Valkyrie with a problem...she's the forever bride of a vampire. Now lets just forget the fact Valkyrie's and Vampires don't mix...ever...she happens to be attracted to him. Wroth is everything she's been taught to hate. Will she be able to put a lifetime's teaching behind her and accept her fate as this handsome vampires bride or will she let pride and family get in the way?
All three of these short stories are yummy! Now readers should keep in mind...these are not full-length efforts but the author have made the most out of the word count allotted them. Ms. Cole's debut paranormal effort is very good and I look forward to reading her next book. It goes without say that Ms. Black and Ms. Kenyon know their stuff. Ms. Kenyon offers readers another BAD book and Ms. Black's Viking story...hot, hot, and hot. For a quick but very entertaining read...look no further. You won't find so much talent in one book very often.

Yes. I'm surprised to say that I did.
Do you feel it portrays BDSM in a real way, a positive way and/or your way?
It did okay with the BDSM. I didn't really understand the fear and shame about it that the lead and her mother supposedly had.
Did you like the sex scenes in the book?
Oh HELL yessss! I've been too damn busy and creatively drained for a while. This book actually helped me simmer again! Hallelujah!
Did you like the rest of the book, the story in it?
The story was a bit thin and really romancy but since the sex was rocking hot I liked it. The story was far better than some I've read.
Would you be interested in reading another book by this author?
Yes I would.

The ONE man that was the PERFECT fit for the one woman thing. I mean it's fantasy and that's okay but I don't believe in that shit. I think it damages our relationships and society to believe in that. I believe I can fit with many, many men and women for that matter.

I would have had the lead character and her mother fear and loathe themselves less.

To be honest, I couldn't get it finished - which is unusual. I fear there wasn't enough plot among the sex to keep me gripped (and I NEVER thought I'd be the one to say that!)
