Background: Noah was a married man, he was 27, successful, and had a wife with two children. Of course the kids were twins and both a handful. His wife was kind but he knew that she was cheating on him. But he didn’t mind because he knew that it wasn't anything based on love in the first place. It was a last minute deal when he found out he had gotten her pregnant.

He's very calm and warm, loving his children and for the most part his family... even if it is based on a lie...

You know, Ultimate, you got me thinking.

Having Eeth is all well and good, but he's not my character. I'm starting to think up a character of my own creation, and I already have a idea that I like. I wonder if Wolfsister would accept it? She's already got a dozen characters to keep track of.

*continues thinking; sees a giant tree out his window*Hmmm, that might work. ;)

*wipes brow*

Phew... finally done.... *pants and lazily watches the evil nanas*

I know, I'm sneaky like that. Just pop in, post up, and vanish... magic. :)

LOL... I'm beginning to think Milkman really is Evil :p

Like I said UN: Just post Noah's entry post and I'll have a look see about what else will come out of the Sprite Magic Hat. :D

Jedi: Give me a charrie bio and I'll see (I'm feeling generous)

Hey, um, if there's anything up with my latest post, just tell me okay and I'll fix it. I kinda went through it pretty quickly (trying to get all my ideas down fast enough) and my fingers kept tangling. So... yeah... tell me? Please?

I just read your post for Fell. One word: sadistic. Fits perfectly with Fell, and the evil. Excellent craftsmanship on it.

I'll get a rough bio to you shortly. I think you might like it.

*shudders with pleasure*

You really think it was sadistic? Ooooohhhh.... gooooood.... *purrs*

Thank you very muchy!!!

Take your time with the bio. I'll be waiting for it :D

Well, I must be off kiddies.

Mummy's got stuff to do now...

I'll see ya'll later.

*waves*

See ya, Wolfsister.

You're welcome for the compliment on the post. *eyes her uneasily* ;)

Well, that sheds some light on why I'm here.

Hopefully the conflict in Asterion's mind doesn't screw up Fell's plans too much...

Nah, don't worry about it Milkman, it works well.

Now that I've got a little time to think things through, I've decided to put my "fleshing the Vale" plan into effect. In essence, I'm going to be RPing the Vale itself. It'll give the better illusion that this world is real and give the writers a chance to see what they're fighting for. Of course though, their characters have no idea.

Kinda like an interactive novel. *shrug* I thought it would be fun and more challenging.

(not that I need more challenge LOL )

Why thank you Phantom *blushes*

Anyway, I forgot to do one important post with Fell yesterday (the reason why he screamed) so I'm gonna do that now, then I must be off. Sorries

UN: Go ahead with your charrie, I like the idea. Instead of making a PM with your starting location, I'll just tell you here (people are going to know soon anyway) I'll drop you in the forest to the west of Abark (lol, see if you can rp with yourself.... )

Oh I'm not THAT mean :p

I'll put your charrie (after you post your bio) in the forest beneath the Dark Woods (I have yet to name it, sorry)

Have fun :D

Yep... here it is UN: Noah's starting location. I'm working on getting another map soon with the new additions.

(I knew I had posted it somewhere :p )

New IV thread idea

Okay peoples...

I'm gonna throw IV to the wolves. LOL. At least I'm thinking of it.

I was thinking the other day that I'm way too overprotective of the Vale. Its true that I have a completely set idea on what happens in it at the moment and what I reveal and when to my writers. But... after a while, it gets a bit much. Plus I want everyone to have fun.

Anyway, when I was thinking this, an idea popped up in my head. I'm still playing with it and there's no guarantee that it'll come to pass but I was thinking of creating another Illusion Vale thread.

This new thread will be centered mostly around the birth of the Spirit. The Dark Times and the Dark Kin as well. All characters (save the Spirit) will be playable and the Guardians are still in control of the Vale. I'm taking this back in time to better flesh out this world that I've created and give others a better chance on influencing the Vale.

While I will still hold creative license on the thread, you won't be rping with me as 'The Vale'. Rather I'll be setting up back stories, behind the scenes and will have only one main character (depending on the way the thread goes) which will be the future Spirit.

Ummm... playable characters will be Guardians(Valian Humans), all Vale races, the Dark Kin and pretty much anything else you can think of. This will be a very similar 'storybook' theme to the current Illusion Vale thread. I'll have ultimate control of how the storyline goes (IE the very goal of the thread) but how you get there is completely up to the writers.

However, the two threads will be tied together as whatever happens in the new thread will be reflected in the history of the current thread. IE: If the entire race of Dragons are wiped out, they will also be extinct in the current thread.

Also, the current thread's history cannot be changed. IE: You can't commit Dwarven genocide. That would render Ren's storyline obsolete.

I will need both Villians and Heroes.

But, as I said, I'm still not sure of this idea will go forwards and I still have to work out the kinks. But... I'm throwing the idea to you and seeing if anyone's interested. Or if anyone thinks that it'll be a waste of time :p

Be honest :D

Argh!! I have to make ANOTHER post... *rolls eyes*

Maybe when I admin the thread, I should just go back and edit old posts?....

*sigh*

Anyway, in the excitement of the new thread idea, I forgot to mention that I may post a little slower in the next week or so. I have a lot going through my mind (what with new additions and several different things I'm involved in) as well as having to create two brand new sprites (and I'm trying to avoid repeating the race of another sprite). Soooo.... I'm sorry my little kiddies.

But I'll still be here and I'll definitely catch up when I can. Forgive me if I stall at Noah's new post. I've got to make a sprite for him.

Gah! I'm repeating myself... shite.

*wanders away to get a cup of tea......*

*huggles and joins for tea*

I told you it's all good, he's like a side character for me *chuckles* When you get to him you get to him. Don't stress! And like I've told you I think it's a great idea and you have me, my ability, and support to help you. I am really really going to bed now... I swear lol bye.

Awww *huggles fiercely* thank you so much for your support!!

Okay, you better get going now :) *tucks you in*
Have a good sleep and hopefully a great time at work.

'Night!

With the approval of Wolfsister (whom I just missed by minutes), I give you a character of my own creation: John McCluskey! :D

Name: John McCluskey - Elmhand
Age: 75
Gender: Male
Race: Ent
Alignment: Neutral
Description: (human) He’s an old man, with grey hair and a long beard. (Ent) 20 ft tall, basically a walking elm tree with a long beard of moss. Two trunks for legs, with five toes on each foot. If you measure from his feet to his head, he’s only 18 ft tall, with another two feet of tree rising up above his head. His arms are massive branches that have three fingers on them. His stride is several meters long.

He lives in the forests of California, several miles from the nearest town. The reason: he’s become a hermit. A few years ago, just after the elections that got Arnold put in the governor’s office, he decided he was fed up with the system, so he moved to the forests. There he lives in a little hovel, avoiding people. He only goes to the small town a few miles away once a year to get supplies; he hates being anyplace where more than five people live, and the town only has a population of a hundred. The people there know him, but they don’t know where exactly he lives, for he always takes a meandering route to his hovel, in order to confusion anybody following him. He cares little for what happens beyond the borders of his part of the forest. One day, as he was heading back from the town to his hovel, he tripped over a root and blacked out.

My own humble opinion, which really isn't worth much really. :D

Go ahead if you wish but as a word of warning, if you are starting to get overtaxed, then hold off. You can always start a new IV story later. Your current thread seems to be rather popular and you have a good core of solid posters. I'd dare say that they will follow you to any story you start in the future.

It's better to have an excellent thread and story later, than have two excellent threads that you just don't have the time to work properly. Then the storyline suffers and if you're like me, you aren't satisfied with the product.

But if you like it, then writing is never a waste of time

PM me if you'd like to brainstorm more about this.

Thank you so much for the advice Mantra. I'll keep it on board while I'm still thinking about it. I think that at the moment, it would not be advantageous to do it, as I've been hesitating for some time. I should probably trust my instincts, huh? LOL

Anways, I know that I've skipped both Noah's and John's posts but I need a little more time to think about their sprites and seeing as their writers already have characters, they can wait a little longer.

Once again, thank you for the fantastic responses, you all really get me thinking and stimulated (trust me, that's hard) so thank you all. :D :D

NPC List

Okay, just for my own interests, I'm going to put and NPC list up here, just to keep track of them (I keep losing the pieces of paper I've got them on :p )

1. The Spirit: Human turned Goddess. Protector of Illusion Vale, main reason for rift between the worlds. Usually has blue dress on, feet lifted off the ground with mystical powers. Hair long and blue, skin tinged pale blue. Her dress seems to be 'alive' and reflects her inner emotions. Lives the the Blue Tower in the middle of Vale City. Alignment: Good.

2. Malas: Young elf (by Valian Standards) Former Guardian. The Spirit's advisor and lover both. Father to the Spirit's foster son, Varic. Long blonde hair, green eyes. Allignment: Good.

3. Raster: (deceased). Owner of Haven Tavern at Tri River Junction in Dark Woods. Collaborated with Talon (vampire) to keep his tavern, was an honest merchent, but still had his faults. Was a sword master. Race: River Man (air and water breathing fish that was humanoid) green, had fins and gills. Was killed by Guardian Largos Tanlin. Allignment: Neutral

4. Talon: Ancient Vampire. Controls Shadow Magick. 6 foot. Drank from Largos Tanlin = sire of. Now pursues Largos to either convert or kill. Has death vengeance on Len. The single most powerful being in the Dark Woods.
Allignment: Evil

5. The Dark Kin: Ancient dark Legend. All manner of races that came together in a singular revolt against the Guardian Gods of Illusion Vale in history past, before the time of the Calm and the Spirit. First attempt, they were beaten and considered evil. Then Guardians became evil and the Dark Kin was resurrected in the name of Good to stop the Guardians destroying the Vale. Dark Kin are once again amassing an army, this time for Evil and to dethrone the Spirit.

6. Tenesa: Sister to Kail. Is a wisp (rosy red in colour) and owns a supplies shop in Vakare. Knows about Becca's mission and is helping. Allignment: Good.

7. Durbin: Dwarf, husband to Shela (also Dwarven). A great smith in his own right, a sort of leader in the Dwarven community, though social hierarchy is somewhat lax. Loves the pipe. Has a large hand axe as main weapon. Allignement: Good.

8. Shadowy figure: A figure that emerged from a mirror on Grolak Isle. More will be revealed as the story progresses.... is part of the up coming Dark Kin. Contols Fell to some extent. Allignment: Evil

9. Rolyn: Elf sent from Neferin to gather Eeth up. Large elf for his race, very muscly and burly. Humorous, a weapons master, limited magical ability and teases Van about eating Nekos constantly. Is in love with Queen Ilandria (Elven queen) but it is a forbidden love. Is in charge of the revolt against the mad queen at current and is training Eeth to become a worthy warrior.
Allignment: Good.

10. Alelia: Caretaker of the caravan/camping grounds between Abark and Felleth Woods. Kind of like a 'human armadillo'. Very kind and excellent seamstress. Keeps her brother in line. Allignment: Good
Race: Pechanian

11. Korin: brother to Alelia. Same race. Male. Lady killer. Is in lust after Fay.
Quote: "When he raised his hand in warm greeting, it was revealed that there were spikes all along his arms. His skin was made up of tiny platelets of hardened shell and his nose was almost non-existant. His mouth was a mere stretch pasty skin with a line cut across it, but he smiled non the less and appeared friendly. Faelin was once again reminded of a walking, talking armidillo when he spoke,"
Allignment: Shady

12. Ilandria: Queen of the Elves. Description: The crown of wilted Laurels signified that this could be the queen. But she looked nothing like one.
Her hair was dark, long and had a slight sway to it. The crown of dead flowers appearing not to fit in with the rest of her appearance. There was a slight glint of madness in her slightly reddened eyes, the deep pit of her pupil flashed with something un-nameable, but it was soon gone and Eeth would be left wondering if it had been there in the first place. Where her companion's clothing was long and flowing, her's, while long, had a shredded appearance below the waist. Her finger tips ended in long talon like nails and there was an air of mystery about her. Of hushed reverence.

Is the birth mother of Malas' son, Varic. Willingly became a surrogate mother for the Spirit. Fell in love with Malas. Malas rejected her and it is said that she became insane soon after.
Is extrememely powerful, both with normal and mystical arts. Gets madder and madder all the time, dresses in cheap imitation of the Spirit. Allignement: Unclear (used to be Good)

13. Shela: Wife to Durbin. Great friends with Sila. Has no children. Loves Durbin greatly. Is a strong woman. Took a nasty blow from some goblins when they attempted to kidnap Sila. Allignment: Good

14. L'elal (Lee): Race: Shapeshifter. Actual Form: Puddle of quicksilver.
Preferred form: Night Avian (description: His arms became longer, thinner, though still muscular. Long talons appeared at his fingertips and he grew taller. Soon he was standing at an impressive 6'2".
His face changed, elongating, his jaw growing more angular. His scary teeth receded, though still remained sharp, his canines coming to a point. His skin colour deepened to a bronzed tan but his eyes remained that emptly voidal colour. Except now, where once they were a deep black, occasional quicksilver streaks raced across his dark orbs.
His ears elongated as well. While not forming a point, like elves' ears, they were still longer than that of an average human's. His chest filled out, muscles appearing along his arms and legs, his hair growing slightly longer to fall just a little past his shoulders. It has also grown silver in colour.
Large batlike wings began growing up from his shoulder blades. Four foot long and leathery, they flapped, as though being exercised after a long rest..

Disguised form: Arginian (Description: Voidal colour eyes, completely black with shadows that chase threw them when angered, large fanged mouth.)Became Fay's self appointed 'protector'. Saved her (without her knowledge) from Korin one night. Made and gave 'Rose Whip' to Fay for a departing present. Only revealed that he was a shapeshifter to her. Has a crush on Fay. 20. Tula: Mother to Sila. Queen of the fairies. Considerably brighter and more level headed than her daughter. Alignment: Good

21. Rena: A fellow fairy. Designation unknown. Male. Alignment: Good

22. Night Stalkers: Description: "Ah yes, the Night Stalkers. They also came from the rift between worlds. Though we suspect that they were not from your own, rather from another. There are many descriptions of Night Stalkers, but one thing is clear. They are monsters," a shiver ran through both the wisps, dimming their lights considerably, "No amount of magic, no being, no special abilities or anything can stop these things," she paused, "Except for a Guardian,"
Kail began to speak this time, choosing to butt in, "We're not sure how, Bec, but Guardians have the ability to destroy Night Stalkers. A Dryad could try, but they would not succeed. You, however, could do the same as the other, and kill the beast," he seemed to emulate a shrug, "We don't know how it works, just that it does,"
Tenesa interjected, "But Night Stalkers are just as deadly to a Guardian as to a normal Valian," she sighed again, "However, some Guardians did not want to stop the beasts. So they let them roam wild and kill all those they could. Just to bring chaos and give them more power,"
Kail floated over, "We had thought that the Night Stalkers had all gone when the Guardians did, the Spirit had managed to banish them to another realm along with the help of a few Guardians that did not turn evil. But it seems that they are back,"

Alignment: Evil

23. Ariet: An elf that occassionally helps Rolyn with Eeth's training. Sort of a silent second in command, male. Alignment: Good

26. Sergeant Aran Grinly: Sergeant posted in Abark. Serpentile creature (what you can see under all the armor) possibly draconic. Husband to Celeste and father to both Abby and Marine.

27. Governor Pheldom: Governor of Abark. Male. Extrememly paranoid. Alignment: Greedy but ultimately Good.

28. Ganiro: Fairy, sort of a personal doctor to the queen. An advisor for medicine. Male. Description: One of the other fairies spoke up, "I can see that you are healing wolf, but perhaps less Ale and more rest is in order, hmmm?" the fairy in question being a male that looked unnervingly like a modern geek. Large horn rimmed glasses and all. He even had a few quivers stuck in his shirt pocket.
Alignment: Good

29. Hale: Similar race to Raster. "Fish Man" blue in color with gills and fins. Wide, friendly gaping mouth. Wears clothing. A fisherman from Fisher's Village on the coast. 31: Celeste: Fully grown and matured Siren. Wife to Grinly. Very very beautiful. Co-owns the small clothier in Abark with her daughter. Description: The woman that spoke was a vision of beauty. Her eyes were slanted slightly, bright blue with golden flowing locks that fell down to her shoulders. She was covered in the same drab material that looked to be sold in the store, but somehow she made it look like the best dress in the Vale. Alignment: Good

32. Marine: Oldest daughter of Grinly (race unknown - same reason as Abby) currently away on merchant's business.

33. The Order: Mad priests that sacrifice a 'guardian' (fake... they just like to call their sacrifices that for the ritual to work) bleeding them dry and feeding the blood into a stone statue with Fell's essence locked inside. Re-energises the Shadow Wraith and keeps him alive. Alignment: Evil

34. Melinda: One of the many sacrifices for Fell. (deceased)

35. Old Prelly: Old woman in Fisher's Village. Her son died at sea a long time ago. See's Asterion for what he is, but people think she's gone mad.
Alignment: Good

36. Maccan: Tough old dwarf lives in Guardan Hall. Currently training Michael to be a warrior. Dark bushy hair and very old, damaged and weathered face. Maccan's son was a warrior as well but died in battle ten years before. Alignment: Good

37. Daric: Smith of Fisher's Village. Race: Lizard Bent over an anvil and pounding some metal, Daric was tall, lean and scaly. His forked tongue snaked out every now and again to flicker at the air and though covered in flashing green scales, you could see the power built into his body as he pounded the iron mallet against a glowing metal sheet. Alignment: Neutral

Alignment: Good

39. Tolarak: There was a man standing in the square with his sword drawn. The blade looked to be finely crafted and razor sharp. No description provided, but most likely a sea creature as he lives in Fisher's Village. Plus, he has gills. Alignment: Good.

40. Fara: Race -Felinoid. Gender - Female. A felinoid Largos found on the outskirts of the Dark Woods. She was captured by Lizardmen Slavers and he saved her in the night. Light brown fur - very similar in appearance to Van. Roughly 5'7". Cool green eyes. Alignment: Good

41. Slavers: Though peace is formed in the Vale, slaving on the black market does still happen. All attempts to stamp this out completely has failed.

42. Lira: Though obviously beautiful, the woman was often scorned for just having been born. Her large round, dark eyes were slitted as was usual for her people. Her skin soft to the touch and tinged sort of pale green, just barely noticeable. Of all the races in existance, hers resembled the formerly known Human Race the most.................... People often counted her race to be exotic. Their dancing skills were infamous, their song even more so. The ends of her fingers were tipped with black laquered claws, short but sharp. The webbing between her fingers and toes one of the obvious differences between her and humans. She had no gills though and was therefore eternally bound to the land, even though her fellows frolicked beneath the ocean's waves with abandon.
A halfling was often not a good thing to be.

Race: Halfling (Siren/Selkie)
Alignment: Neutral/Evil

43. Little orphen girl: (now deceased) As yet unnamed, race undetermined. Lives in Vakare orphanage and attacked by a NightStalker. Alignment: Neutral

48. Malakiel Male. Pechanian (same being as Korin and Alelia - armadillos) Allignment: Good. Met Largos outside of Dark Woods after Len's transformation.

49. Aaran Male. Foxman. In the company of Malakiel. Slightly impulsive and lustful. Not very bright and rather aggressive. Short brown fur. Alignment: Neutral

50. Menos: Male. Pechanian, brother to Malakiel. Captain of the Blue Guard. (personal army of the Spirit herself) Alignment: Good

51. Varinos: Male, captain of Ilandria’s Golden Guard. Elf. Much older than some of the elders. Loyal to a fault. Alignement: Neutral.
