Take a popular song and rewrite lyrics, using same tune but different theme.

Example: Weird Al Yankovich wrote lyrics to the tune of Michael Jackson's "Beat It". He titled it "Eat it"...same tune but the lyrics were about food obsession.

Please include the title of the song which inspires your new creation.

Have fun. :)

Parodies have always been fun, Artina, and a lot easier than original librettos as in your "songwriter's challenge.... ONE."

Here's a quickie to "Old Man River" (be sure to imagine it in Robeson's baritone).

Old Man's liver,
That old man's liver,
It's quite cirrhotic,
Nearly necrotic,
Yet he keeps drinkin,
And rottin' his liver away.
