Trent smiled and then waited for Kahr to stop growling. Once he did he moved forward and scooped Joss up, leaving her clutching the pillow.
"It's alright babe. I know where you live because I asked a friend when he started my divorce filing. He told me something that worried me, and I had to make sure that my suspicions were either correct or not. Plus, I was scared I'd never see you again," Trent said. He whistled and Kahr started following.
"We need to go to the hospital for a little while, then I'm going to take care of you until you are better," Trent said as he gently set Joss in the passenger seat and let Kahr hop up in the back seat of the cab.
