Yes it caught me on the hop too and there are loads of challenges going on, but if you have a favourite Limerick or one you've written yourself please post it here. No rush, no time limit, just a bit of fun.
 
Literotican poets write
their herds of words all day and night.
For the cost of some comments
you can pet all the sonnets
but be careful; some poems bite.

i misplaced my poor poetry head
well i looked but it's not in the bed
i'm wurzel without it
can only write this shit
which ain't worth a dime when all's said
 
I want her to breathe much more freely,
Like saying hodi in Swahili.
Becuase if I could,
I'd collect some driftwood
And build her a fire. I mean, really.
