I recently heard a great line from a movie and i want to use part of it in one of my stories.

How do i do that without getting sued by the company who made the film?

I don't want to use the whole line just a small part of it.

Go ahead and use it. If it's under fifty words, there is no chance of there being a problem (the chances having been very remote anyway)--assuming it isn't a trademarked name that you are slapping on your own product as the name of your own product. Beyond that, the movie folks would kiss you on both cheeks for helping to make their phrase a household saying--and thus immortalize their movie. (e.g., "Show me the money?"; "You had me at hello.")
