Name: Kara Zor-El (Kara Kent)
Age: 25
Race: Kryptonian
Height: 5'9"
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Light blue

Kara was born to her father Zor-El and her mother Alura in the city of Argos on Krypton. When she was but a mere child, probably no older than 1 year, the planet Krypton was about to be destroyed when their sun turned super nova. In an effort to save his family, Zor-El had originally decided to send both his wife and newborn daughter to a distant planet. When Alura stated she had no intention of leaving her husbands side, they sent Kara rocketing alone towards Earth in a space ship... the Last Daughter of Krypton.

The journey from Krypton to Earth took about three Earth years to complete. Though her ship was programmed to instruct her on her heritage and purpose on this new planet, most of that became non-operational after crash landing in a corn field located in a town called Smallville, and subsequently Kara remembers none of it. Kara, along with the ship she landed in, were discovered by Jonathon and Martha Kent, two very loving and respectable parents in the Smallville community. Instead of turning her in, Jonathon and Martha Kent took the young alien into their home and raised her like their own daughter.

The Kent's were a little wary about introducing her into the public school systems, as she exhibited abilities that most humans could only dream of. At the age of six, Kara first experienced super speed when she was playing a game of tag with her father. Kara ran so fast that when she finally stopped, she was in the next city over! It would take some time before she was able to control these abilities, restraining her speed and strength so as to appear 'normal'. Kara was finally ready for her first taste of the public life when she was enrolled at Smallville High School; her cautious nature and shyness, however, caused her difficulty in fitting in. She developed only a limited number of friendships, allowing her a small degree of comfort, but never to the point where she trusted others with her secret.

After Kara turned 18 years old, she returned to the Fortress of Solitude and underwent 7 years of training. When she emerged, she returned to Smallville for a short while, later accepting a desk job at the Daily Planet.

POWERS AND ABILITIES

All of Wraiths abilities come from his connection to the Demiplane of Shadow, a magical realm outside of normal space and time.

Normal (Human) Form:

jensen-ackles--large-msg-115067542564-2.jpg

Enhanced Strength: Can lift 500Lbs over his head easily, 800 if he pushes

Enhanced Agility: 3X the human normal agility and reflexes

Darksight: See's in darkness as well as a normal man can see in daylight

Life Support: Does not need to eat, sleep, or excrete waste. Immune to disease, poisons and resistant to heat and cold.

Immortality: Kyle will stop aging at 25, and will not die due to aging. Unless killed by outside influence he could conceivably live until the sun goes nova.

Mental Defenses: Kyle has a field about him that resonates to telepaths as a "Madness Field" It causes them extreme discomfort and pain. Only very strong telepaths can break through it. He has no control over this ability. It's always on, even if it would be advantageous for him to have it off.

Hero Form:

darkness.jpg

Armored skin: In his hero form Wraith is encased in organic black armor. It acts like skin almost, as he can get tactile response from it, but it also is bullet resistant (up to large caliber weapons), heat and cold resistant and offers protection from energy based attacks.

Enhanced Strength: Wraith can lift weights up to lift over 3 tons

Enhanced Agility: Wraith has over ten times normal human quickness and agility, allowing him to dodge projectiles and strike both accurately and quickly

Darkbolts: Wraith can fire concussive bolts of darkness from his hands that strike hard enough to crumple steel.

Webbing: Wraith can also fire a organic webbing, encasing opponents in a glue-like mass, entangling them and stopping them from moving or taking most actions. The webbing can be torn apart with sufficient strength or tools. Also, very bright lights will burn it off. It dissolves into shadows at dawn

Claws:Wraith can form his fingers into knife-like claws, capable of cutting steel.

Darkness Field: He can create a field of utter darkness ranging in size from ten meters to one hundred meters in diameter. No light or vision can penetrate this darkness (sonar or extrasensory abilities have no problem) Wraith is immune to this effect and can see normally, but must concentrate to keep it up.

Shadowform: In darkness or shadows he can assume a incorporeal shadowform able to pass through solid objects. Energy fields stop this ability, and bright lights throw him out of shadowform

Shadowstep: He can teleport from shadow to shadow as long as he knows where he is going and the distance is no longer than a league (3 miles)

Dimensional Teleport: Wraith can teleport long distances by shifting himself and up to 7000 pounds of matter to Shadow, then going back to where he wants to go. This ability can cross planar boundaries, and can work to take Wraith to places he does not know. the latter can cause unpredictable results though

Flight: Wraith can cause dragonlike wings to emerge from his back, enabling him to fly if he has enough room to deploy them. He can fly at about 45 MPH top speed.

Background:
Kyle Greystone was born into a wealthy family with every opportunity in life available to him. Some are born with a silver spoon; Kyle’s was a platinum one. Kyle’s father and mother both were from old money, but they were always looking forward. First with computers, then bio-genetics, until by his Tenth birthday his family controlled one of the largest bio-genetics and engineering companies in the world.
Then in one night, it all came crashing down around him.
Three weeks after his twelfth birthday his family was attacked by an assassin. The assassin was the being known as Carrion. He defeated the security of the mansion, and slew his younger brother and sister in their beds. His parents were next, but his mother managed to scream once before the killers claws silenced her forever. Kyle’s older sister, Rebecca, made it into his room just before Carrion, and she was struck and thrown into Kyle, knocking them both to the floor and covering them in blood. This was when Kyle manifested his powers. The shadows in the room exploded into motion, swirling around the young man, and he and his sister vanished into Shadow seconds before Carrion could finish the job.
He later awoke in his grandparent’s farm in California his torn and bloody sister barely breathing in his arms. She got to the hospital in time to save her life, but the attack left her paralyzed from the waist down.
They stayed on the farm for two more years until Bekka was 18, and she inherited the family business. Against her grandparents wishes, she moved back to the mansion while Kyle stayed in California, and she regained control of the company. Under her control, the company moved away from bio-engineering, and into micro-engineering and powersuit/military research and development. The company grew wealthier with her guidance, and now was one of the leading providers of mobile armor and weaponry to the U.S. Government. They have clashed with LutherCorp on several occasions on projects.
During this time Kyle was learning more about his powers and abilities. In the two years on the farm he learned how to cloak himself in darkness, and his strength and agility grew to more than human. His eyes also grew much more sensitive to light, and he slept less and less. Wraith is still learning about his abilities. All during this time the world thought him dead, as Bekka through her contacts let the world believe she was the only surviving Greystone. At age sixteen Kyle's grandparents died in a mysterious car crash, and Kyle Shadowported himself to Bekka that night. Over the next week she worked him up a new identity as Kyle Matthews, got two of her most trusted older security personnel to pose as his Grandparents, and moved him to Smallville Kansas. Kyle kepthis head down for the most part, and stayed off the radar.

That is until he ran into Rose McCrimmon in the hallways of Smallville high. It was love at first sight. (see Last Daughter of Krypton for the story).

At eighteen Wraith went to Shadow to train and learn about his birthright and powers. he was gone from earth for roughly eighteen months.

Fifteen years passed in Shadow, and Wraith learned how to use his powers, how to rule over the lands he was entrusted with...

And how to kill when necessary in the War with Hell.

Wraith did come back, reuniting with Rose and vowing to never leave her alone again. When he came back Bruce was gone learning what he needed, and Kara had dissapeared from the face of the earth.

Kyle and Rose eventually moved to New York, and live there now, living normal lives, but ocasionally rising up to be the heroes they learned how to be with the help of their friends.

Well, Suppose I should put up Merick.

Merick Tennylson

HeathLedgerInTheOrder.jpg
heath_ledger2.jpg

Merick say been through a lot in the last ten years. His family is gone. His parents died in a horrific plane crash that may or may not have been planned by his own long lost aunt.

A year after graduation, Merick was sitting in his apartment in Metropolis when he saw the news. His parents plane had exploded in a ball of fire. No survivors. Merick went looking for Chloe. But she was gone. Off on some reporter thing. He went to Rose, but she was with Kyle. He didn't want to ruin there day. So instead he went drinking. Merick teleported to London. Merick was sitting on the Millenium Eye drinking his sorrows when he heard an unexpected creak and turned to see a familiar face. John Constantine. Before Merick could react he heard a laugh. Lu Yan sat grinning. It was in this company that Merick spent the rest of his night. Until he crash landed into Chloe's coffee table. From that time on, Merick felt a kinship with John. Often visiting when he could. Meanwhile Lilith Slade turned up. Edmund did not have one child but two. Twins. Brother and sister. Edmund never knew his daughter. She was sent away by his wife. She returned to claim the TennTech fortune for herself. And if not for timely intervention by Bruce Wayne, she would have succeeded. Since then Merick has handed over the reigns to his business advisor, and focused on being a hero full time.

Merick has adapted his grandfather's suit, which he wears a as a badge of honor.

Merick lives in Soho with Chloe.

Since his years with The Outsiders, Merick has mastered the manipulation of his powers. He can now form objects through his mastery of force, teleport in incredibly rapid succession and has mastered the ability to slow or speed time relative to himself and others. He also has managed to discover that his means of teleportation allows him to rend not just space, but also time. Merick is able to travel to any point in his own timeline. However he refuses to travel ahead. Merick can bring others on these trips, however it is very taxing at best.

Tommy Tennylson, Doctor Fate, and Mary Bromfield

Tommy chose the mantle of Fate nad now resides full time in Salem, Mass. Tommy and Mary don't often see Merick and Chloe but try to at least meet for holidays. Tommy commands the powers of the Mantle of Fate. Mary, the niece of Inza Nelson, a former Fate herself, has been dating Tommy for several years now. They are a happy, but very busy couple. Mary has the ability to sense magic, and has the rudimentary skills to use it, however she is still learning. This was the initial foundation of her relationship with Tommy, one of student and teacher.

I will edit in more info when I finish brainstorming with Chas.

Name: Rose Mary McCrimmon
Age: 24 1/2
Race: Meteor-Influenced Metahuman
Height: 5'5"
Hair: Red
Eyes: Ice Blue

Doctor Stephen Hamilton once said to his young boys that "Englishmen are not permitted the luxury of madness."

So too is it true of this Last Daughter of Britain that she is not permitted the luxury of cowardice. Not any longer.

Rose may be a metahuman, but she is still very much human, and she's seen some terrible things in her day. Her boyfriendforever has a lot of enemies, and now, well, so does she. (Her own dark-mirrored half, the manifestation of all the cold and bitter within her, she's still out there somewhere after an adventure gone wrong, and Rose sadly awaits that inevitable confrontation.)

Rose is not a superheroine as such.

Though she does wear a costume from time to time, she finally got herself a good pair of goggles, she sees it more as a convention of the trade as a separate identity. She has the physical and scientific training on the part of her mother and father to be a real force for good in this world, but something's holding her back.

She loves her Kyle very very much, and she would spend forever with him if she had forever to spend.

But she hasn't seen her friend Kara in just over half a decade and she misses her terribly.

Rose has ever had trouble feeling brave. She fights it when she needs to, and she wins. She can kick through concrete and soar through the air and run like a cheetah. She can roll a small car over with her bare hands. She can burn bullets from the sky and turn the Hudson River to frozen glass. Her mother has taught her an integrated martial arts style which makes good use of the various elements at her disposal, as well as her nigh-superhuman physical attributes.

She's discovered she can learn just about anything if she puts her mind to it, as her natural intelligence is combined with enhanced senses and physical memory, not-quite-photographic reflexes. She's studied music, science, even a little forensics and law... and just a touch of magic...

She's been a superheroine, her goggles and wreaths of fire and shrouds of ice hiding her face from the world. Despite the British flag on her uniform, she's fought fires and crime alongside New York's FDNY and NYPD and The Manhattan Guardian hails her as The Spirit of New York. She's managed, through long walks and meditation and passive scrying, to eventually build up a sort of symbiosis with New York City the way that her "Uncle" John has a symbiosis with London.

But she's waiting for something.

She's missing something.

---

Powers: Enhanced overall physique including peak-human superathletic abilities (chasing down cars on foot, bending metal bars, sharpened senses), hardy metabolism, and just a touch of injury resistance; Pyrokinesis (Capable of emitting extremely high temperature heat and flame (accompanied by auras of molten golden light)); Cryokinesis (Capable of lowering temperatures drastically to below-freezing levels (accompanied by auras of blue-white lightning) and simultaneously telekinetically manipulating any available water to create physical ice); Immune to extremes in temperature, though capable of perceiving these with startling precision; Capable of adjusting her vision to see in the infrared spectrum; Capable of detecting trace amounts of water molecules in the air around her; Unassisted Flight

Weakness: Her energy reserves are far more extensive than they were when she was younger, her physical attributes enhanced by further training...

But she's not indestructible, and she's not indefatigable, and her psyche is hardly invulnerable.

Sometimes there are dreams.

Gonna hold off on a Batman profile at least until I hear back from someone.

Not sure what Lex's role in this is going to be, yet.

Have a weird but sad idea for Rose's family, going to have to think about this.

Still trying to figure things out with Lunar re: Merick and Chloe, but I should have a profile up for everyone's other favourite blonde reporter (teehee) ere very much longer.

Rose IC in a few, hopefully.

Take your time, beautiful.

I will be on/off for most of the day, as I haven't had the chance to really enjoy 80+ weather =^^=

The Watchtower.

chole.jpg

Name: Chloe Anne Sullivan-Tennylson
Age: 25
Race: Human ("Meteor Freak")
Height: 5'5"
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Hazel

allisonmack.jpg

Chloe's family moved to Smallville from Metropolis when she was a little girl. Apparently her family had roots in the town from way back, and when her father got transferred from his Luthorcorp deskjob in The Big Apricot to help develop Luthorcorp interests in The Creamed Corn Capital of The World, it was like unto a homecoming for her father Gabe.

But a month later, when Smallville won a Homecoming of its own, the sky burned black with smoke and fiery stones fell from the air and Gabe Sullivan's family home collapsed with Chloe still inside.

Rescue workers took what seemed like forever to dig her out, and Gabe despaired that he would ever see his little girl alive again. But out she came, crying and upset and dehydrated and hungry and wanting her daddy and wanting her mommy but otherwise...

Otherwise, she was completely unharmed.

Her mother, on the other hand, was gone without a trace, leaving Chloe wondering...

...and it was that wonderment, that wonderment at this terrifying celestial cataclysm that took her mother away, the wondering about the how and the what and the why, that made Chloe's brilliant mind a nigh-inescapable seeker of Truth. She wants to understand how it works.

It was that wonderment that drove her to become a journalist, working first for The Torch at Smallville High and then later working for The Daily Planet in Metropolis. Later still, she would transfer to The Planet's London offices to be with her husband, fellow "Meteor Freak" and freshman-year sweetheart Merick Tennylson.

Chloe rarely forgets anything.

But she will never forget her formative years at Smallville High, working to solve mysteries, delving into computerised corruption as the hacker known as "Watchtower," and meeting a fantastic assortment of individuals.

Hardly the least of which was Kara Zor-El, Last Daughter of Krypton.

Chloe has recently become pregnant with her husband Merick, and is continuing to work for The Daily Planet at their London offices and from a home flat in Soho.

---

Powers: Chloe, to put it in video game terminology, has infinite lives, meaning that she can self-resurrect automatically after suffering a fatality.

Chloe can also heal the injuries of others by transferring her resurrective auric energies to them temporarily. However, if the injuries are too extensive, too much of her energy will transfer and this will result in another of her temporary deaths.

Even before The First Meteor Shower gave her these abilities, Chloe possessed natural Eighth-Level Intelligence, making her exceptionally intelligent. By comparison, certain Earth-bound supergeniuses are Tenth-Level Intelligence, 20/21st Century humanity in general is Sixth-Level, and the formidable crushing smarts of The BRAINIAC were a top-flight Twelfth-Level. Chloe is hardly the smartest creature in The Universe, but she keeps a few steps ahead of the most of us.

Weakness: The resurrection process is arduous-- like swimming an English Channel filled with broken glass --and is not without its shortcomings, and she still ages normally: she's not, apparently, fully immortal. There's no accurate way to predict how long she'll be dead as the result of a deadly wound or of an energy-shunt; Death, it seems, is a highly capricious and mysterious creature.

Chloe does not entirely trust this ability, especially given how much she feels she has to live for, these days.

I'd put up a profile for the Martian Manhunter...but, I mean come on, its the MARTIAN MANHUNTER.

He's a big, green dude that has a really cool cape and uniform and kicks a whole lotta butt all the time.
