I agree. That's creative writing 101 right there. Conflict - man vs. man, man vs. environment, man vs. himself. I'm sure any author would incorporate these in their story. I'm giving potiential authors complete creative license.

This is a good idea, and to add an extra element of uncertainty/conflict, set it up so Jack doesn't know that Mr. Screwher is in on the whole thing, and is a good friend of his, and he feels like he's betraying his friend, only it turns out in the end that Mr. Screwher wanted Jack to screw his wife the whole time.
