Love affair with Rumi

Oh, dear! lolol That's not Rumi- that's me!

it means that coming back here has caused my urge to write to get a lot stronger, and so I'm going to google Rumi (to the desert) and see what I can see!! and maybe bring back a jewel of a poem...

still working on that!

But if you were mistaking me for Rumi- thats a HUGE compliment, so TY!

You are most welcome! I did think......and WOW! :)

This was my fav part

I will seek the desert, to find what you've found
and journey back again
perhaps w/ jewels upon my camel, and songs in my heart.

Enjoy your journey into the Desert! I know I am enjoying mine.

Blessings to you!

The minute I'm disappointed, I feel encouraged.
When I'm ruined, I'm healed.
When I'm quiet and solid as the ground, then I talk
the low tones of thunder for everyone.

I keep coming back to this passage.....this has been my last two weeks.
Sorry for the delay in responding....beautiful! You should post your last piece you wrote :)

- Rumi

The beauty of the heart

is the lasting beauty:

its lips give to drink

of the water of life.

Truly it is the water,

that which pours,

and the one who drinks.

All three become one when

your talisman is shattered.

That oneness you can't know

by reasoning.

Beautiful....thank you :) Something that I needed to read and ponder. :rose:

Rumi

Your task is not to seek for love,

but merely to seek and find all

the barriers within yourself

that you have built against it.

ohhh these words ring true! Time for the barriers to come down!

Thank you daus :rose:

It has been a while....and today I read this and yearned...

The way that you spoke left me speechless,
Helpless in the face of your sweetness
I ran from your trap, home to my heart,
But trapped in my heart,
I'm your captive.

Now this is nice to hear :)

An tonight's Rumi... and yes sometimes I enjoy being the prey... :)

WHISPERS OF LOVE

Lover whispers to my ear,
"Better to be a prey than a hunter.
Make yourself My fool.
Stop trying to be the sun and become a speck!
Dwell at My door and be homeless.
Don't pretend to be a candle, be a moth,
so you may taste the savor of Life
and know the power hidden in serving."

Today's Rumi

This aloneness is worth more than a thousand lives.
This freedom is worth more than all the lands on earth.
To be one with the truth for just a moment,
Is worth more than the world and life itself.

This is how I feel when I am alone in nature and there is peace.
