Harold Taylor

Physical Description:
- 55 years old
- 6'2", 200#. Muscular and strong but with a coat of winter fat, too.
- Brunette hair, typically mussed up.
- Deep brown eyes.
- Tattoos (from the Navy).
- He's pretty average looking: handsome but no male model.
- He's an old sailor and fisher, so he typically wears simple clothes: jeans with lots of pockets; button up shirts, vests, coats, again with pockets for stuff; a ball cap or rain hat; and durable sunglasses.
Personality Description:
- Confident. Proud.
- Hard working. Dedicated to his tasks.
- Too trusting of others at times. It may be his downfall one day, but it has served him well thus far.
- He never had a serious relationship let alone married. Oh, he had lovers, of course. But he'd never once said I love you to a woman outside his family members.
- He is determined to survive this walker thing.
Background:
- Grew up in a small coastal port town, where he learned to love the sea.
- Spent weekends deep sea fishing with his grandfather.
- Put 12 years into the Navy as a Machinist Mate, where he learned the metal work skills important to building his Container Castle.
- After his discharge, he'd bought a 54 foot boat.
- For 25 years, he'd made his living fishing and crabbing.
- Then came the walkers.
Since the walkers:
- Out to sea; coming to shore:
  - He and Max, his friend and boat mate, were out fishing when the walkers rose up.
  - Harold didn't initially believe it was real.
  - When he finally accepted that it was real, Harold lashed a line from the bow of his boat, the Marylou, to a NOAA buoy anchored to the sea floor 10 miles off shore.
  - They spent 2 months at sea, sometimes bobbing at the buoy, sometimes moving to known fishing grounds to feed themselves after the rest of the food was gone.
  - When they got to port, there was no activity.
  - They were attacked by walkers. Max was and eaten upon before Harold's eyes.
  - He spent hour evading the walkers before spending the night in the cab of a Freightliner at Trans-Pacific Intermodal Shipping.
- Building the Container Castle:
  - The next day, he began building.
  - For 6 days, he moved empty cargo containers, placing them end-to-end to create a 200 yards long by 150 yards wide rectangle.
  - This castle wall surrounded a rectangle of open concrete that itself surrounded 3 acres of open ground.
  - The unpaved space had once been paved but the concrete and likely polluted topsoil had been removed.
  - The space had been intended to become a park and part of a new greenspace initiative.
  - Huge piles of topsoil had been dumped around the outside of the open space, to one day fill it in 2 feet deep.
  - Even though he has never farmed, Harold was smart enough to know that something could be grown here. It's why he chose this place to build.
Possessions worth noting:

  - Weapons he brought with him from the Marylou:
    - 12 gauge shotgun (36 rounds).
    - AR-15 assault rifle, .223 Remington (110 rounds)
    - 9mm Glock handgun (16 rounds)
  - Also, in the convenience store at the fishing dock with Max's dead body are an M-4 (semi-automatic), another 9mm (semi-automatic), a .44 magnum, a flare gun, and an unknown number of rounds for each (though Harold presumes there are at least 2 boxes for each, less what it took to load the weapons, since Max never got off a shot).
- 3 pair of really good binoculars.

Background:
- I will expand on this later. Right now I have to get ready for work.
- Grew up on a farm.
- Went to university to study Animal Husbandry.
- Came home with a grant from the Georgia State Department of Agriculture.
- She was going to turn around the bankrupt and foreclosed upon Wilson Family farm, raising exotic animals, holding farming and ranching classes for local school kids, and playing hostess for dude ranch style weekend and vacation opportunities for city folk.
- She and Polly, her sister, were in the city picking up some imported goats when the Walker Uprising began.
- In the mayhem, they got trapped.
- They've been trying to survive since.

- Quiet, soft spoken; shy even when not entirely comfortable with her current situation.

  - The extent of her sexual experience is heavy kissing and petting.
  - During a sleep over, a more experienced female cousin taught Polly to French Kiss, then caressed and groped her breasts and buttocks before the trembling Polly suggested they should stop. They were each 14.
  - As a junior (age 16), a boyfriend reached up under her skirt and into her panties, finding wetness just before she stopped him. When she made it clear that she wasn't ready, he broke up with her.

Hannah James

- Brown eyes; slightly curly, naturally dark brunette hair worn bleached and straightened.
- Tattoos, which I will list later.
Personality Description:
- Extrovert, bold, loud at times.
- Her outgoing personality is her way of dealing with a life of abuse, including sexual abuse that began short of her teens.
- At the story's beginning, she is addicted to Oxycodone.
- Party girl: loves drinking and drugging, as well as having sex, with either men, women, or both.
- Not shy about who she fucks either.
- She doesn't like killing Walkers, though. She's only killed a handful, and always with a pistol as she could never use a hand weapon. To up close and personal.
Background:
- Grew up in the city.
- Was sexually abused even before her teens by multiple men from within and without her family.
- Went into foster care at 13, but spent most of the time from age 14-18 living on the streets while her foster parents pocketed the money the state was paying them to care for her.
- Became addicted to heroine at 14, then Oxy at 16 (simply because it was easier to steal it than buy heroine).
- Began having sex with one, then another, then a third foster father in exchange for cash or pills to feed her drug habit.
- Quit school for the last time at 15.
- She had bounced from house to house, abandoned building to abandoned building, living with men or women or both with whom she was having sex to again feed her habit.
- Six months before the Walker Uprising began, she was jailed and sent to a rehab facility. They got her clean, but the urge to get high still remained. She kept clean by never leaving the side of people who cared about her.
- Then the Uprising struck.
- She traveled with anyone who would protect her; and in a moment of desperation, she got high again and was back to her old self.
- She'd fuck or suck anyone who got her drugs.
- She got high one night and awoke the next day to find herself in the care of Tamara's group. She claimed to have been drugged by men who raped her, though it wasn't true.
- She scavenged with them, always looking for Oxy and other pain killers.
- 3 days after meeting Tamara, they were being chased by Walkers and came upon the Container Castle.
- They were invited inside.

Pete Cramer

Physical Description:
- 20 years old
- 5'7", 177#. Fit; has both lost weight and gained muscle mass/strength since Uprising.
- Long brunette hair, pulled back in a pony tail.
- Deep brown eyes.
- Average looking.
Personality Description:
- Lacked confidence prior to the walker uprising but has become a warrior since then.
- Dedicated to protecting Tamara's group.
- Best friend of Craig, for whom he would risk his life without hesitation.
- Horny little bastard. Had just 3 sexual partners prior to the story. It took 6-9 months to finally have sex with them for the first time.
- He is determined to survive this walker thing.
Background:
- Grew up in a comfortable home in a suburb of the city.
- His father disappeared when he was 12. He never learned what happened to the man, and his mother wouldn't talk about it.
- Despite there being 4 years difference between them, Pete became close and lasting friends with Craig, a neighbor, shortly after his dad's departure.
Since the walkers:
- Was working at a gas station and going to community college at the time of the uprising.
- He was with Craig at the time, camping in the coastal mountains.
- They were unable to get back home.
- They traveled alone, then with a small group that betrayed them, then with Tamara's group.
- He immediately developed a lust for both Polly and Hannah.
- Pete openly expressed his distrust for Harold when they first met him. In all honesty, he was probably more jealous of having another male (particularly one that is an Alpha) in the mix.
- A few days after they decided to stay at the Castle, Hannah promised Pete sex if he would go outside the walls to help her find drugs to feed her habit.

Craig Ellington:

- 24 years old
- 6'1", 180#. Very fit; former competitive tennis player.
- Short brunette hair.
- Hazel-green eyes.
- Very attractive. (Enough so to have landed a couple of local television commercials.)
Personality Description:
- Very confident. Was raised to be a winner at all things.
- Ironically, he is not conceited.
- Protective of others; never liked bullies.
- Best friend of Pete, for whom he would risk his life without hesitation.
- Had had a very satisfying sex life, prior to and after marriage, prior to and after the uprising. (More below.)
Background:
- Raised in an upper class home and neighborhood.
- Went to private schools, had private tutors and private tennis coaches.
- While a tennis mentor through the tennis association, he met and befriended Pete, whose father had recently disappeared.
- Despite there being 4 years difference between them, they became close and lasting friends.
Since the walkers:
- After a recent injury, he had given up competitive tennis and was coaching.
- He was with Pete at the time of the uprising, camping in the coastal mountains.
- They were unable to get back home.
- They traveled alone, then with a small group that betrayed them. (The group wanted to keep Craig but dump Pete. Craig refused, of course, and there was a fight. The group stole all of Craig and Pete's stuff and abandoned them after trying unsuccessfully to kill Pete.)
- Tamara chose Craig as an occasional lover, coming to him when she had a need.
