Thanks, I need to figure out how to reduce the size of the pictures. My tumblr page posts them too big.

Hummingbirds....**** and frustrating. Sorry, I didn't answer sooner I was backpacking in the Eagle Cap Wilderness in Oregon.

We have two feeders and I set up in for one of them. I'm about 4 to 6 feet away with 300mm. I focus on the feeder and wait....and wait.....and...

Eventually one will hover and I'll get a shot or two. Then one of the little males will dart in and scare off the one that was feeding.

There's a thread on DPReview that I may try and replicate the set up.

Also having just purchased a D7100 I'm going to try a few shots with it with the settings on this thread: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/51879671

I get lucky now and then with Hummers.

Oh, all those pics were with my D90 and an 28 - 300 mm lens.

I'm not sure I like spiders, but the detail of the web in the first one is amazing.

I don't mind them. This one I enjoyed having around due to eating the Yellow Jackets and easy access to photograph.
