Looking for Shawl/Poncho Knitting Patterns

There really is almost everything on the internet, if you know where to look.

Last time I looked for slightly more interesting crochet patterns, I found one for an almost surgical appliance-like supender belt pattern from the 1940s. Not IMHO worth the hours of tiny tiny stitches, and a bit solid for my liking, but somebody might... Or they might use it as a technical jumping off point for working out something more decorative.

BTW before anyone says "pics or it didn't happen", you'll have to wait until I've got the hang of this forum enough to post it up.

I am having a hard time linking to Ravelry, but check out the Sweetness and Light Shawl by AppleTree Knits. I have made five of them-- not that I am overly excited about it :D

Many thanks for the new contributions. I've been going through some things. I thought I was through with breakdowns. But, shit happens. C'est la vie. :rose:
