FBI Raids Cohen's Offices

Apparently the federal judge in Cohen's case thinks Cohen is Tromp's business partner because no retainer, no billings, no other clients, etc. In which case there's no lawyer-client privilege and all Cohen's docs and recordings are available as evidence. Everything he did for Tromp. Everything. All the intimidations, payoffs, less-than-legal stuff. If Tromp talked to Cohen about upcoming illegalities, that's conspiracy. Oops.

The problem is Trump never gave an ounce of consideration to the effects of his actions. All Trump has been thinking about is how he could tear down Obama's legacy, not how his actions were going to affect our Nation and it's citizen. Trump wants a wall on our southern border but the dumb fool has not given one thought that someone is most likely going to tunnel under like they have done in both California and Texas.

My brother lives 1 mile north of the border, on the beach, and one time he saw an illegal arrive by jet ski - no kidding. The border patrol picked him up after he called them.

Interesting view ... exactly what is Obama's legacy?

Chris Hayes had a great show last night about the implications of the Cohen raid. That's all they talked about for an hour. There was so much stuff going on including the bit (whoops!) about Oh Yeah He Was in Prague that I was really looking forward to Rachel to unpack it all.

Then Trump bombed Syria. Buh Bye Cohen raid

Trump was so HARD on mean old Russia! He called out Putin! See? No Collusion, No collusion! Can this all stop now? Thank you

Libya, maybe? And Trump has done a boffo job of reversing that fiasco, with his travel ban.

Interesting view ... exactly what 's Obama's legacy?

Not ignoring six months of daily warnings of an impending terror attack and allowing planes to slam into buildings which result in the deaths of 3,000 people.

Recovering all the jobs lost under his predecessor's administration.

A stock market which didn't collapse by 50% but instead reached its highest point in history until the current administration.

Some of the highest corporate profits in history.

A growing economy which exists to this day.

A world community willing to work with the United States instead of treating it like a two-year having a hissy fit.

As has been mentioned in this thread, the FBI seized recordings between Cohen and Daniel's former lawyer about paying her to keep quiet. The warrant sought information about that payment along with any information that connected Cohen with efforts to suppress disclosure of Trump's alleged affair with Playboy model Karen McDougal.

This is interesting for two key reasons. One, Davidson, the attorney for Daniel at that time, never consented to the recordings. Depending on where the recording was made, Cohen could be on the hotseat for that alone.

Second, these recordings are firsthand knowledge of what took place. Straight from the horse's mouth as it were. This leaves no wiggle room for Cohen to enact a he-said, she-said scenario. These are his own words.

But here's the real kicker and why Mueller was so hot to get his hands on the recordings. Cohen often recorded telephone conversations both before and during the 2016 presidential campaign that also could have been scooped up in the FBI raid on his apartment, office and hotel room, sources told CNN.

One source said Cohen played to Trump and some associates conversations that he had with political and media figures during the exploratory part of the campaign.

That means, depending on what is on those recordings, the denials by the con artist about this story or that could be shown to be lies (as if that would be any different than normal for him). Further, the people who have already given testimony to Mueller could now be under the gun for also lying, again, depending on what is on the tapes.

‘Michael Cohen right now is radioactive’: Stormy Daniels’ attorney shreds ‘flat out stupid’ Trump fixer

The attorney for adult film performer Stormy Daniels blasted Donald Trump counselor Michael Cohen as being “radioactive” during a Saturday appearance on MSNBC’s AM Joy.

“So CNN reports that the FBI has seized recordings between Michael Cohen and the former attorney for your client,” host Joy Reid noted. “What does that mean to your case and/or the federal case?”

“It’s pretty outrageous you have an attorney that is engaged potentially in illegal recording of conversations,” Avenatti argued. “Not only that, it’s stupid.”

“It’s just flat out stupid,” he continued. “I mean, I am constantly amazed with each passing day of the lack of intelligence that has been demonstrated by this man, this attorney, Michael Cohen.”

“I’m more amazed that this is the guy that the President of the United States would pick as his fixer,” he added.

The attorney also made a prediction about the number of women covered by NDAs.

“I am confident that we’re not talking about two or three or five or seven different women, we’re going to get well into the double digits when it’s all said and done,” he predicted. “And I’m confident that the documents that have been obtained by the FBI, in connection with these raids, are going to show a lot of women.”

Discount Lawyers are worth their weight in Derp!:D

I’ll bet that Trump has had binders full of women.
And one or more trusted personal assistants to handle the binders because heavy and sticky, nothing a germophobe with small hands would touch on their own, no way. But sure, it'll be fat binders, originally shoeboxes, filled with Polaroids because easy private technology.

Where does DJT hide er I mean store his memorabilia albums? What other albums are stashed away er I mean archived? Does he keep albums of his greatest business successes? Hey, only 40% of his enterprises failed! The other 60% should be really hot! And albums of his great defaults and bailouts, and which investors and contractors and employees and taxpayers he's screwed most. Big albums. YUUGE albums. Private albums.

Here's the really sad part (and by sad I mean hilarious). The guy has been in business for what, 40 years? In all that time he might be worth $2 billion. We don't know for sure because he does his best to hide his incompetence.

Think about that for a moment. Averaged out over those 40 years that means he only accumulated $50 million each year. The loans he took out to build buildings and buy properties were orders of magnitude larger.

Then again, this is the same guy who lost $1 billion on his Atlantic City casinos, so maybe this shouldn't be a surprise.

As Warren Buffett said, “I’ve really never known another businessman who brags about his bankruptcies. To tell you the truth, why not, it is his claim to stardom.”

Funny thing about Trump, he's signed a lot of executive orders, however, I don't think he's signed a single piece of legislation into law.

And when Trump talks about his ideas for legislation and sweeping changes across this nation, perhaps it's a GOOD thing he hasn't signed much legislation. His ideas are horrible!

Trump’s idea to scrap the Affordable care Act will result in America losing millions of jobs. It will also result in thousands of Americans dying needlessly because they can no longer afford to see a doctor.

Trump’s plan to cease all funding of research into renewable energies will kill jobs in all fifty states.

Trump’s chronic racist and xenophobic comments have alienated people all over the world and crippled America’s tourism industry, costing America over four billion in lost revenue and 40,000 jobs.

Trump’s budget is projected to cause massive deficits while driving millions of Americans into poverty.

Trump’s hateful rhetoric has also emboldened racists, white supremacists, anti-Semites and other hateful people in this country, helping to spike violent crimes against minorities by more than twenty percent.

This is not how you make America great.

However, while the American people are largely unhappy with the way Trump is damaging the United States of America, there is one nation that seems to be overjoyed with the way Trump has been using his presidential authority.

Russia.

Since Trump was sworn into office, he’s leaked classified information directly to Russia.

Last year the United States Congress voted overwhelmingly to impose new sanctions on Russia. The vote in both the House and Senate were veto-proof, so, Trump was forced to sign the law authorizing new sanctions, however, Trump has refused to follow the law, and Trump’s State Department has said it would not impose additional sanctions on Russia, despite a new law designed to punish Moscow’s alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

Recently the director of the National Security Agency confirmed another move by Donald Trump that must please the Russian oligarchs. Speaking before the Senate Armed Services Committee, he confirmed that Trump refuses to do anything to protect America against Russian meddling in America’s elections. Despite the direct threat to American democracy, Trump refuses to take any meaningful steps to investigate and eliminate Russian efforts to undermine the American electoral system.

And while Russian submarines and spy ships are aggressively operating near the vital undersea cables that carry almost all global Internet communications, raising concerns among our NATO allies that the Russians might be planning to attack those lines, Trump seems utterly unconcerned. When we had a real leader in the White House, America would have been at the forefront of NATO in confronting the Russian threat to NATO’s underwater infrastructure, however, with Trump in the White House, America has abandoned the leadership role, and left it to other nations to deal with the Russians.

And in another move that certainly must have pleased the Russians, Trump was utterly silent when Russian forces under Yevgeny Prigozhin killed American forces in Syria. Prigozhin is a Russian oligarch with close ties to Vladimir Putin, and is believed to be the man in charge of the troll factory that targeted American voters.

Of course Trump has chronically praised Vladimir Put, saying that Putin is “doing a great job”, that Putin is “brilliant” Putin is “a strong leader” and he also said that when he met Putin, that, “He could not have been nicer. He was so nice and so everything.”

Meanwhile, Trump calls NATO “obsolete” and he refuses to listen to America’s intelligence agencies. He especially refuses to listen to them when they try to explain to him the sort of threat that Russia represents.

This is GREAT for Russia, but not so good for the United States of America.

Trump is basically the Moscow Candidate. He doesn’t do what’s best for the American people. He does what’s in the best interests of Vladimir Putin.

You are an idiot. What happened before the ACA? Did hospitals turn away sick people? NO - We all just paid higher rates. Now people who could afford health care before - can't! It tripled! You just switched the ones who paid for health care (and now can't afford it) to those who never paid now have it. Seem fair to you?

After that out and out idiocy on your part, i can't even stomach to read anything more. Please - do your own research, don't just believe everything you hear.

THE REAL AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH TRUMP. WE ELECTED HIM. THE TAKERS ARE NOT HAPPY. BIG DIFFERENCE.

He has, but not much of significance. Lots of proclamations and revisions. Gargle bills signed by Trump so far for details of his somewhat-over-100 signings.

You are an idiot.
That'll sure persuade him of his error.

Uninsured people went to ERs for routine care, driving up medical costs.

Now people who could afford health care before - can't! It tripled!
Yes, RomneyCare is a pig that enriches Big Medico. Private health insurance is a scam. (So admits my kin who ran a big insurer.) Basic single-payer with private supplements is the ticket.

THE REAL AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH TRUMP. WE ELECTED HIM.
Most voters rejected Tromp. See how well it's going? Or are unreal Americans the majority? Farmers aren't real happy with Tromp's doings; are they unreal? This sounds theological: A real [your dogma here] believes what you believe; everyone else are Satan-spawn.

Keep yelling in caps, that will make it true.

How else can you overcome the false narrative since they won't do the research themselves?

I challenge them by asking questions directly about what Trump has done that is so bad. <Crickets>

I submit Trump has done more for the good of this country in 1 year than Oblamer has done in 8.

People have posted lots of responses to what Trump has done which is "so bad." You just choose to ignore them, or say "What's bad about that?"

At the very least, there are two camps which are NEVER going to agree, so suck it up. Latest polls today have 60% "strongly disapproving" of Trump.

You mean the same polls that said Hillary would win by a landslide?

Media is biased - I don't believe the fake news. I don't watch LSM.

You mean the same polls that said Hillary would win by a landslide?
The prediction was 2-3% of the popular vote. She won by 2.7%. Compared to elections with under 1% margins, that's a landslide. She lost by 77k votes in 3 counties. She lost the game, which rewards the luzer rejected by most voters. Luzers don't rule well. Oy.

So yeah, THOSE polls. The ones that were right.

Well that means DJT could not vote .
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ignore the polls and the media, then.

The point is the same: The two sides are never going to agree. There's a huge difference of opinion when it comes to Trump.

You seem to have trouble accepting that. You stamp your feet and yell and insist we're "un-American.

Stick your head in the sand, who cares. We'll see what happens in November.

I don't stick my head in the sand - I avoid biased news sources.

Job growth, ISIS defeated, stock market, lowest black unemployment in 43 years ... to name just a few of Trump's successes. Obama led from behind, Trump leads from experience.

This country needs to unite - not divide as Obama did. Optimism equals success.

Naysayers, liars, obstructionists - all undermine this country. They had a chance to front a candidate to win - and can't seem to accept defeat.

If republicans were obstructionists, Obama never would have been elected - twice!

Keep telling yourself that Obama never tried to work with Republicans. No point in learning facts when you can make America hate again.

'Rump's Greycoats may yet tear the country apart if they aren't stopped.
