Paranoia

My whispered nothings in her ear
Are not quite nothing. They appear
To broach “involvement” with me, here
In our love nest. I’ll disappear

If that will right our ob’vious wrong
Against the masses. Mao Zedong,
Our teacher, wills us to be strong,
Suggests we sing collective song

That bonds us all as comrades, hey?
And if with comrade I here say,
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
I hope we’ll both sip cabernet,

A vintage that I think is fine,
If a bit pert. It’s nose, a sign
How God, as watchmaker, designs,
All art, all beauty. All bus lines.

When yet another lover
Welcomes you into her arms,
Is your bliss because you love her,
Or just that your ego is charmed?

The Problem of Poets Living in Small Towns

If Annie writes a roundelay,
I would participate, I think,
To see what poets could portray
What Annie writes as roundelay,
Where poets carefully will say
While rhyming, Esther makes me drink.
So, Annie writes that, roundelay?
It would precipitate a stink.

*Cathartic*

Night,
illuminated,
street lights pale
into insignificance, their
protests at darkness a pitiable
blink
an eye frying flash
of clarity
crashes

world lit up. day light
explodes into the night,
the sound of dying air as it
is smashed and slashed
to smitherines punches
the ears
sudden,
violent,
beautiful,
terrifying tempest takes
my breath,
rain pours, pounding the
ground
wets, soaks the earth
streaks of pure power
paint the sky in white lines
static air sizzles as water
and oxygen burn to
ozone,

the tremble rumble
reverberates through
head,
chest
soul
cleansed in the on coming storm

*Burning Revelry*

red, orange flickers create
erratic shadows across
the floor
a rusty barrel prison
creates division of the room

inside, popping fierce rage
against the walls, as I would rage
against imprisonment
flickers lilt, hungry
sad at being so small, only so tall
only so bright,
dreams of more
wild passion that can go where
it please, eat and consume
not be on petty rations
free to feed, grow, devour
what it needs

I stared entranced as the
lights danced
it glared back
a caged beast

*little girl*

hair done up nice and neat,
shuffling to your own beat,
little dolls, make up calls,
cheeky smile while you play.
busy, bossy always fussy,
don't take "no" to heart, start
in on the next thing, what to
wear, what to bring, run around
try to sing
no one talks quite as much,
clutch your doll to your chest,
set to nurse, while lips are pursed
elation as your toy you heal, peals
of laughter as you squeal
emotions on high, scream and cry
at any time

Dear little one, in your
intrepid fun, know that I will
love and care, take all tolls
to wear, know that I'll be there

no matter what happens
come to me for anything.

*lips to lips*

lips brush,
soft, gentle shivers
run from your toes
up, stop deep inside your
femininity,
both your lips drip
wet with
need

I read this from your
subtle intent,
a slight push into me as
hands slide up
your back
coarse stubble rubs,
slight rasp, textured with
soft caress,
my lips part yours
this moment, snap frozen
heat
as breath tickles skin
you wait,
in screaming silence
for me to begin

*twist my words*

how quick they forget in
this
what have you done
lately life
that strife was rife,
every night, fighting,
I got paid for it
laid because of it
lived it,
loved it,
consumed it,
fidgeting from foot to
foot, large thick fingers
knot, clench, feeling
tendons stretch and tense
tumble drier insides churn,
burn me up, turn me over,
serve me up poisonous
clover

I fought hard to spare all
out assault, my fault
vaulting the affronts of
everyone, kept my cool
let them fool themselves into
thinking I'm weak,
done, still they press on

gone now my pretence,
reprehensible they've been, seen
this before, what's in store,
poke my inner bear with a stick,
I will snap,
trap shut, cut them up,
wash my hands of their plans,
disband the happy family
crap, separate, go my own
way, let them stay, play
the way they want
say what they want,
drink each others coolade

I and mine don't need the
judgement,
subversion,
misinterpretation of a single text
message,
sent to explain our situation

stop the skewed precipitation lest
you encounter my bear smiling
violent confrontation
:)

*too much*

Ever feel like life
has been directed by
a comedian on acid
pulling cosmic strings whilst
tripping out
all a big laugh
you are the punchline
the zinger that has everyone in
stitches
while the jester
jests
a running joke of commentary

My words seem a
giant trying to sew together
delicates with a hammer
in a forge used for smelting metal
beauty crushed, barely recognised
amidst the splendour of wedding dresses
sewn by true artists

you

are better than you think you are

and we're all trainee tailors
pricking our thumbs
getting blood on the fabric

1

*palmistry*

Entwined we lay,
heart rates settle
your hand snakes up
I kiss it,
trace the lines on your palm
invent a tale for each, you
giggle as I speak

first a lightning bolt, ferocious
your sexuality, vivid live
wire, flick your hair, flirty
pout in agreement

second, a dissecting
arrow, straight and true,
your sense of purpose, frown
seriously (seriously sexy)

third your sense of
fun, erratic, a little bit of
cheek, to prove my point
you pinch my nipple

final line, diverging forks
split, the fidelity line,
similar to mine,
we lay together but
we lie apart

*mindful seduction*

I spy you,
my approach,
postured, powerful, subtle
salacious intent in every
stride, my eyes
hazel flecked green
penetrate yours, a small
smirk dances on my face
You drop your gaze, smile
lights your aura

Extend my hand,
delicately you flick hair
from your forehead,
brazenly dare my promise
challenge met, accepted
demurely
raise your hand for me
I drop my eyes to take it
then look straight back to
yours

Spread open your index
and middle finger on my palm,
lock then in place with my thumb,
the timbre of my voice, baritone
filled intent,
words pierce your soul

"did you know the whole
body is interconnected"

shake your head coyly,
small blush hues cheeks,

my voice a charged whisper,

"look at your fingers

spread as they are,
connect to your legs

When I do this
(I massage the tip of each finger)
you will feel it in your feet
when I stroke the outside here,
you will feel it in your calves,

you squirm a little,
my smirk returns
challenging
you yield,

breathing faster, your
pulse throbs in your throat,
I run my finger up
the inside of yours,
your inner thigh

my gaze unwavering
seduction, voice husky
lustful
fingers play with your fingers
words play with your mind

I tickle the inside cleft
just shy of....

This sensual, public
display, you bite your lip
I raise your hand,
eyes locked,
gently kiss between
splayed fingers

let my lips linger......

I blame Angeline for this one :D

*ants shuffle*

Dead ants float across my
screen, meaning interpreted
by how I'm feeling
what I'm dreaming
so it's seeming, while these
dead ants fail to dance

I mentally scan their stance,
the way their legs twist
and mash
to stash away my interpretation
of their twisted amalgamation

*spring*

Awakening from beneath
sleeping slumber,
sun invigorated life anew,
fresh morning air crisp
caress, petals open to it
awake, shake off the cold
clamp of winters lonely
fingers
embrace with ardent fervour
the devotion of light
embrace

musky dew drop scent
cries out to be pollinated,
needing a welcome invader
to stroke her bud,
refresh her life force,
pierce her core, so that
springs show can be sprung,

a sigh as handsome humming bird
arrives, he flits about, teasing
daring, revering her
before settling over sweet soft
entrance, his beak plunges
deep, to drink of her nectar,
pink petals part, his beak
nips her soul

*confusion*

attempt to push through
barriers seek
yearn to learn
internalise the words,
embrace their splendour
see where
you are being taken
immersion in the mind,

snap

it's over....

*white tiles*

Rows of grout, linear
lines that run in
perfect tracks,
white squares neat,
there it lays
jagged imperfection,
highlighted by perfection.

From this coast we can swim
From this dock we can take tickets
From this islet we can be spendthrift
without the aid of sight.

The medians downtown,
The medians outside my window
Hold islands tight.

The door frames a door
Bell the sound of late afternoons
In the fall
Inside the park

Grains are spread across the path.

I love the portent of adventure
Weakened, perhaps, by the pedantry of the last line
In the fall/Inside the park
all things are possible

....
Thanks for this
