Isolated Blurt Thread

It figures that after having a nightmare about xenomorphs trying to hunt me down this morning that I would be out measuring catacombs this afternoon, and then freaking the fuck out once I made the connection. I stayed and finished my work, but I was terrified by the end there.

I concocted a dish that was . . . not bad. Cooked bulgur with a bit of taco seasoning, a little green pepper, about a tablespoon of cheese (OK, that's not allowed but it was just a tiny bit) rolled into a tortilla. And a bottle of water. It was quite filling, which is good to know for another time.

Bulgur is a cereal food made from the groats of several different wheat species, most often from durum wheat. The word bulgur is of Turkish origin.

 A Mc sighting

:rose::kiss: You little old lurker you.

There's lurking, and then there's lurking. Mostly I just have this 6th sense that tells me when to show up. <cough, cough> ;)

I'm blurting this because it's beautiful, and I want to put it out there into the universe:

The more closely we analyze what we consider "sexy," the more clearly we will understand that eroticism is the feeling of excitement we experience at finding another human being who shares our values and our sense of the meaning of existence. –Alain de Botton

Huh? I thought it was all about bumping uglies and getting jollies. Philosophy is mental masturbation anyway. ;)

I need to stop looking there, ever again. I should clear my browser history. Not that I could erase my memory. Dammit.

I would have sworn I was still too young to have old-man fieet, but I would have been wrong...

I've just returned from my first visit to the Diabetes specialist.

For the last few weeks I've been jabbing holes in my fingers four times a day to get blood test results and reviewing them. I changed WHEN I took my tablets because of a pattern emerging and that lowered the level, not enough, but to more reasonable levels.

She was surprised when I produced a printout of my results with exact timings, and comments about unusual events against some readings. She was impressed to be given a printout of my current medication, including when it was last changed.

I gave her more information than the doctor had included on his referral.

I can now jab holes in my fingers TWO times a day for the next two months when I will return for a further assessment. If I continue the improvement I can probably stay on tablets for maybe a year before switching to injecting insulin.

My bloody fingers are crossed!

My fingers are crossed for you as well, Ogg. :rose:

Good Luck, Ogg.
I had to go for a personal 'MoT' where it was discovered I was pre-diabetic and should REALLY change my diet and habits. So I have (and I'm feeling the better for it).
But how did you manage the print-out of your results ? Make up a form yourself or use a proprietary programme ?
