It's been a long while since I knuckled down to write anything of any merit, so I'm challenging myself and following the Triggers of the 2009 Survivor Challenge. You are very welcome to join in as and when you feel able, maybe add a Trigger of your own for others to write to but as I said no hassle, no time limit ...... just write! I've read poetry is dying, don't let it!
I've tried to get you to write and been ignored and that was a bitter pill to swallow here where I'd always felt at home before. So if you won't write for me, I will write for myself!

Hiya Annie:rose:,

I'm sorry you feel ignored.

I don't participate in your challenges not because I'm ignoring you but because my poems are all pretty spontaneous and whimsical. I really can't just sit down and write a good poem... They come when they come, they just pop up in my head.

If I could come up with poems for your challenges I would participate but I always draw a blank when I try.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your challenge.

Keywords #1
Write a poem that includes all of the following words: ghost, cigarette, photography

Cigarette burns fade like black
and white photography
blurred realities that blend in white

The ghosts of pain haunt
wounds of luminescens
where the moon was full
your eyes were blue
and I burned
a place for you in my flesh

drawing in the cancerous flavour
of skin and smoke
the embers then emblazoned
in the sheets
dirty messy
and naught but ash
and blood

transient drifting
of a forever that was never
more than a Grimm tale

Quotation #1
Write a poem that includes the phrase "perfectly motionless, perfectly behaved".

She lay there marbled
cream and lace
delicate folds beneath the leather
waiting the stroke of midnight
where black is the new black
and the sinister crawling
of human depravity is howling
is hot
throbbing
hardness and wanton demands

where surrender is power
where pleasure and pain are
mashed on to skin
mapped
measured
true north and true south
are lost
and down is the only descent
worth giving a damn about
when the dawn seems years away
not mere hours

where she lays
Perfectly motionless, perfectly behaved
awaiting the ravaging
of monsters we sometimes let loose

Keywords #4
Write a poem that includes all of the following words: knife, siren, speed

I’ve cut ragged lines like caterpillars
on the clubs run down countertop
waiting for Lola the two piece stripper in the
three piece club to do nasty things
for a taste

all for the speed
to blend the brain into chopped liver treats
something you wouldn’t feed the dog
something you’d find in a medical mystery pack
something that blares sirens
from the inside
just loud enough and persitant enough
to tip the edges of dark places
just enough for you to want to take a knife
cut it out and throw it away

to unzip and slip inside Lola
trying to find meaning
and all that’s left to feel is a corpse like cold
grainy days
and the wet splash of tears
because there is no meaning
in the reality of the damned

Keyword #3
Write a poem that includes one of the following words: disassociation, engulfment, suppression

When did we try to sanitize sex
to try and make it some Hollywood glamour act
where hair is perfect
your cum face doesn’t look like some
psycho from an insane asylum
where it’s suppression has lessened
the danger
the primarily sordid details of filth
the messy unbridled screams
that could be death or pain
or a myriad of cries in between
where

the grunting man sounds like he’s
trying to tear down walls with his bear hands
where violence is splashed
with carnality
it’s painted in uv-lighting
fluro-purple in all its
heaving glory

a murder scene of fluids
emblazoned on the walls
on the floor
on me
on you

when did sex devolve into sanitized
missionary
perfect hair
teeth tits
and bleached assholes

We all have our own way of writing. I try not to say I can't. When I first came to this site I was rhyming everything and had no notion of Free style. It made no sense to me until I was given a swift kick up the backside by a poet that was here then called WickedEve. I went away in a huff but then came back and learned and listened to the great poets, some of whom are still here ...... Angeline, Tzara, Guilty Pleasure, Champagne to name a few. My 'I can't' became maybe I can until I did! Enough to win Survivor 2009! That all came from listening and trying. Sliding sideway often but at least I was writing!
At one time this place used to buzz with activity and I hate to see very few even bothering. Yeah I'm a Mod now, but it's still the same old irreverent me! I haven't changed but I feel my old friends are slipping away from me as if I'm some sort of ogre now. But hey no time to be sad, I have to write again or lose it. No I can't here, I bloody well can!!

Wow Tod you've put me to shame! Thank you so much for writing here, you don't know what it means to me and I love you for it

Trigger 1. Acrostic
.
Simply start where you mean to go on
To, putting one word after another
And continuing hopefully on to a
Recognisable form of expression,
Then you're done. Move on when ready.
.
Not a great start but at least I have :D

Peeking Inside Some Guy's House

Point-Of-View Prompt Number Eight

Normally, I'm not a neighbor
who is known as too nosy nor
who sneaks a peek inside each house
and watch some guy give his own wife
such a pussy probe in her life
but while I was just like a mouse,
I looked inside the one bedroom
and watched a guy's hard dick go zoom
into her without being louse.

Trigger 49 ..... The Man Who Wasn't There.
.
Sunshine's secret shadows filter through the trees,
making minute patterns where no man has walked
since he laid her tenderly amongst the leaves.
One uncovered eye was left gazing reproachfully,
but he would never come to her again.

What's a louse got to do with anything? Oh and by the way poetry shows far more intellect when it's erotic and not just plain filth.

I could never put you to shame :p I’m sure you lost that years ago ;)

It was about time for me to get if my ass and write as well, something not political and not so serious, some dirty trash and dark erotic :D

Louse has a secondary meaning beyond the insect, but other than that your critique is spot on :)

Trigger 22 ......... From the point of view of a red clay brick.
.
Though mortar holds me to the earth
I dream of meadows long before
quarries dragged me from my birth
and smothered like a murdered whore.

I dream of meadows long before,
I'm forced into this rigid shape
and smothered like a murdered whore
once young and fresh, bespoiled by rape.

I'm forced into this rigid shape
now used and tied to someone's whim,
once young and fresh, bespoiled by rape,
remembers life before the skim.

Now used and tied to someone's whim
quarries dragged me from my birth
remembers life before the skim
though mortar holds me to the earth.

I've submitted this but wonder if it will go through because I wasn't allowed the title Rape of the Earth.

Trigger 4 Cento......... Lines lifted from poems by other authors posted at Literotica.com. In this case Uggg. Thank you :rose:
.
Does the prey not feel a moment of desire?
See how they dance and prance for her,
sometimes learning the hard way is best.
Knowledge of what more we have in store
from pain past felt and long thought buried,
the human is a complicated thing
we will bring our own demons
and the sensual touch of a wasp's sting.

If that must be, then let them be ...

Write a poem that includes all of the following words: fool, game, starlight

We play games
the back and forth banter
tag
cards
we wrestle and talk

I often think what fool thing am I doing
here in the starlight of 3am
the gates squeaks and groans again
on worn hinges
reliable and grown used to staying open

and the next 18 hrs will be consumed with insanity
and I walk through it
drumming the strings of discordant disharmony
wondering
what it is I have to offer the world anymore
am I so far behind and gone that all it’s worth
is a note
a blade of glass and 5 minutes
before I can sleep

Because all I offer to this world is rejected
shunned and obsolete
it will only be a matter of time before
they turn up to arrest those like me
and put us in camps

the spin of a dystopia
where all male sexuality
will be under federal control
as if every idea we have is rape

back to cards and games and of the wayward tangent track
so we play games
and is what I’m teaching him
setting him up to be shot in the years to come
because revolutions always leave casualties

Keyword #2
Write a poem that includes one of the following words: cartilage, crocodile, reptilian

Broken bones
torn cartilage
ripped sinew
all in the pursuit of competence
earn it the hard way
one fall
one break
one hospital stay at a time

hammer into the muscles
synapses
and sinews

learn that life hurts
but your resilience is beyond
what can be thrown
to dream you need to know
you can heal
know the limits so you can break them

pain teaches hard lessons
pay attention
learn it well
everything of worth
is hard fought for
and won only by those that dare

Yippeee my poem went through, I'm once again in New Poetry :) Now waiting for the Cento to go through.

Trigger 26 ....... a poem that includes the phrase '"Sh! not so loud: he’ll hear you," Mary said.'

Sh! not so loud: he’ll hear you,
Mary said' from underneath
Roger's thrashing body
and you must use a sheath,
It's one thing now to cuckold him
as he snores away next door,
but when you've finished pumping
I don't want your spore.
There's nothing worse much later
to find your little kickers
are making such a soggy mess
from dripping in my knickers.
What's that you say, I must behave
and stop making it a farce?
My God! A slap across each cheek
you've shoved it up my arse!
