1. To taste her nectar, smell it too, perchance,
Puts me in such a state, in fact, a trance.

2. If Annie will give me the license,
I'll try to eliminate silence
By changing the spelling to alter
The end of each line coming later.

Not hard if you're kind of a trader,
A dashing and devilish darter,
A wordwright who's kind of a sprinter
With keyboards and three-in-one printers.

But this isn't like minting silver,
More snagging your thumb on a sliver.
That's life for an anagram slinger--
Ear ache from spun puns that still lingers.

6.
If at first things seem limp
There is a stiff art I might primp.

I have to say that once upon a time
To continue a poem and make it rhyme
Stings like hell and drove me mad
But liking, she tells me, making me glad

9. The author clambers through a skree of letters
That reeks of scramble, loose from meaning's fetters.

Not a legal anagram, methinks.

Also, weren't these poems supposed to be in iambic pentameter? I only see a few that qualify.

Typo, my fault. I'll put it right. I didn't say anything about Iambic pentameter because of trying to draw in new members to participate.

Sorry I didn't get around to doing your thingy Annie, I meant to but I forgot it finished on the 5th.

lol I thought of a great challenge the other day but I doubt anyone would like it.

"Try writing a meaningful sentence without the letter T'

I've been playing with that in my head for a couple of days, bloody difficult.

(18 in my message, none here.)

You could put it up as a new thread as 'Try writing an American sentence without using the letter T' For how to write one of those see HERE

Never really got into Ginsberg, more of a Burrows or Cassidy fan if I'm reading Beatnik era literature and the poetry from that scene doesn't do much for me not when the 60,s came so soon after with all of its wild creativity and lack of inhibition.
