Texas School District Will Suspend Kids Who Leave Class To Protest Florida Shooting

‘We Are Here For An Education And Not A Political Protest’

The Needville ISD is very sensitive to violence in schools including the recent incident in Florida. Anytime an individual deliberately chooses to harm others, we are sensitive and compassionate to those impacted. There is a “movement” attempting to stage walkouts/disruptions of the school through social media and/or other media outlets.

Please be advised that the Needville ISD will not allow a student demonstration during school hours for any type of protest or awareness!! Should students choose to do so, they will be suspended from school for 3 days and face all the consequences that come along with an out of school suspension. Life is all about choices and every choice has a consequence whether it be positive or negative. We will discipline no matter if it is one, fifty, or five hundred students involved. All will be suspended for 3 days and parent notes will not alleviate the discipline.

A school is a place to learn and grow educationally, emotionally and morally. A disruption of the school will not be tolerated.

Respect yourself, your fellow students and the Needville Independent School District and please understand that we are here for an education and not a political protest.

I'd be willing to bet that most of the kids who graduate and go away to college never come back.

Judging by the composition of the school board, I'm not surprised that the superintendent said what he did.

If the kids are smart they'll all walk out together and take their lumps. There are worse things in life than OSS. Like imitating the ducks in a shooting gallery when the shooter is popping off an assault rifle.

The OP proves that these students are acting on their own, and not being manipulated by some shadowy anti-gun organization. If they were, that guy would know, and he wouldn’t hesitate to expose them.

Actually, this is a great way for the future to tag more-likely trouble-making students, who should be put on the coming school mental health watch lists for local law enforcement review.

Because if parents haven't instilled self-responsibility in their own kids enough that they'll easily follow simple, logical, just and equal school rules - just like Nikolas Cruz wouldn't - then that kind of anti-social behavior, especially if it's encouraged by their equally irresponsible parents, definitely should automatically red flag them.

Such totally irresponsible parents teach their kids they are too special to have to obey rules they don't wish to, that it is only they and their feelings that matter most...

Which is why there are Nikolas Cruzs and females who grow up feeling it's their "right" to intentionally & tortuously kill the innocent & defenseless little human life naturally maturing inside them, simply for their own convenience.

Moms like the Debbies of the world have a great deal of American blood on their lawless, irresponsible hands.

Remember the day in America when kids were COMMANDED they would not miss a single day of school for any reason other than being legitimately too sick to do so? Not to be mean, but out of pure love trying their parental best to teach their own kids SELF-RESPONSIBILITY at as young an age as possible? Telling their kids they'd thank them the day they finally grew up and found out on their own SELF-RESPONSIBILITY was the only thing that'd allow them to show up at work every day so they could KEEP a job to feed/support themselves?

How many American kids haven't learned that SELF-RESPONSIBILITY lesson in, basically, the last half century, compared to earlier generations Americans having no choice but to not only learn it, but to fully exercise it, too, just to make a living and not rely on others to help them pay their way because they are too irresponsible themselves?

And when their irresponsible adults who they refused to instill SELF-RESPONSIBILITY in as kids murder others and their own babies, these socialist/progressive parents DEMAND that everyone else then MUST empathize with their repugnantly deliberate FAILURE?

It's irresponsible to teach your children that their opinion does not matter if it is expressed or displayed in a non violent way?

My progeny are all grown up and are productive contributing members of society. I think I managed to do a pretty good job considering I didn't get an instruction manual.

There is a perfectly simple solution:-

Employ armed guards and shoot any child leaving the premises. Entirely consistent with existing gun policy.

When other people are working hard that day because the HAVE to pay the taxes to help provide your kid an education? Yeah - that's most definitely irresponsible because your kids don't have to skip school and waste taxpayers' hard-earned $$ at all for you to teach them what other non-socialist/non-progressive parent teach their kids without ever skipping school.

If I was the Super, I'd instruct everyone of you socialist/progressive parents that your kids don't have to worry about 3 day suspensions - they'd be expelled for the rest of the term.

Let you socialist/progressive dependents home school your own however irresponsibly you wish.

Nah, no reason to waste even more taxpayer $$ on the bullets. Just suspend your spoiled little brats for the rest of the year to teach them - since you refuse to - how the real world really, really works (no matter their/your snowflake feelings), while you still pay your hard-earned taxes helping educate all the other kids whose parents would never allow their kids to be as irresponsible as you teach yours to be.

As a taxpayer I help contribute towards the education costs of school kids. I have also paid school fees, helped fundraise and been a parent helper.

I'd rather that people thought for themselves and not be sheeple.
