I maintain we're tribal, and nothing brings out tribalism faster than obvious physical differences. Black and white is inconveniently and blatantly obvious, so my guess is until we unlearn tribalism, it's always going to be some sort of flash point. It's not that Big Bad Cocks are bad, per se. It's just in these stories the white wife can't control herself, she doesn't WANT to cheat, but she can't resist the BBC.

There's no one "these" stories in what is being posted to Lit. as interracial. A lot of what I see on this thread is blanket statements--about stories that aren't anything like the interracial stories I--and probably a lot others--are writing.

And I don't think that big cocks are bad, "per se," or otherwise. Erotica fiction being fantasy fiction, I don't see anything bad, racial, or anything else in including them in the fantasy write. I'll stick with the observation that a lot being seen as racist in interracial stories is the racism of the reader, not the writer.

I think we may be miscommunicating. I'm not saying that big cocks, black or otherwise, are bad.

I'm saying that many stories paint them that way, and those stories, to me are racist. One recent example is "The Party" by LincolnSST. That author didn't even bother with the InterRacial tag, but DID tag it with "Black Cock."

It's only two pages, not a good story, IMHO, but read it and tell me that it is InterRacial, not Racist!

I'm not either, I'm just replying to the question that was asked! As I said, I think we misunderstood each other. I think that we agree that inter-racial stories are not by their very nature racist, and that was the question that started the thread, and beyond that we just got twisted around!

Interesting response. I assume, based on this response and from looking at your profile, that for you it is a kind cuck fantasy? Unlike Handsinthedark, above, I'm inclined to think that it's not racist, although there could be elements of racism if the black men are portrayed in a stereotypical and disparaging way. But even if that's true, the question remains: is there any harm in such fantasies? There are people who fantasize about rape. I doubt that stories that indulge this fantasy create a risk that there will be more rape. I'm inclined to say we should let people indulge their fantasies.

I couldn't read the whole of the article you linked to; they have some sort of pop-up ad that made everything past the first couple of paragraphs unreadable on my browser. But from what I could see of it, looks like they're misrepresenting the WaPo article they discuss.

It doesn't say that classical music is racist, it doesn't say that enjoying symphonies is racist. It was responding to a statement that could be summarised as "Americans and Europeans are better than other cultures because we write symphonies and invent stuff".

Perhaps not a huge stretch to see racism in that.

I think you may be misinterpreting the original question. If you think it's asking is inter-racial porn AS USUALLY PORTRAYED, racist, I would agree with your answer.

But, my understanding of the original question is, is inter-racial porn inherently racist, and I would answer no to that question.

A good example is "A Helping Hand" by LincolnSST. It is inter-racial, but not at all racist.

Most of my interracial sex partner stories go to another, overriding category, but I don't think race issues would have to be a focus of a story I wrote for me to put it in the interracial category. There's nothing ipso facto in a partner of one race/color getting extra arousal from having sex with a partner of another race/color. That extra arousal doesn't have to rise to racism--if a reader thinks it does have to, I go back to it then suggesting that it's the reader who is dipping into racism, not necessarily the writer.

What post to this thread are you addressing? I haven't seen this as a discussion of anything getting better or worse. I don't see the relevance of where you're headed on this to interracial sex. If it is relevant, this thread should be moved to the political thread, I think.
 
A few people in this thread parroted the sentiment that race relations were progressing, I would beg to differ. The most recent polls don't even support this. Just because people fap to IR porn and would fuck a non-white person, means very little for actual progress.
