Has anyone found a convenient way to amplify the output from an ipod?

I found a small amp for when mobile but I'm looking for something more substantial for home use with headphones.

Back when iPods were the thing, there were tons pretty high quality units floating around. I bet you can get something for a few bucks on Amazon

there are or were bluetooth adaptors for ipods

then you would be free to purchase any bluetooth speaker system to suit your needs

What generation of iPod should be the first question. The newer models have built in Bluetooth (and WiFi) and no adapter would be necessary to use them with the multitude of speaker systems and Bluetooth headphones.

I have systems, docks, Airport "Airtunes" network extenders.... which enable me to send the content from the iPod (or computers with iTunes content) to three different audio/home theater systems in various parts of the house.

For just lounging around and wanting a little more headphone volume and headroom than the iPod's electronics allows for, I use this amplifier and any one of several noise canceling headphones.
