The usual reason is that it reaches or surpasses the maximum amount of pages, which in turn makes the servers slow up. So to keep everything running smoothly the over clocked threads get deleted and we start all over again.

So the Mod here, ChargerGirl, gives us a lot of leeway with these posts. However, when people continuously post pics that violate Lit's policies and CG gets tired of editing everyone's posts she shuts down the thread. She has a tough, thankless job and some people force her hand. The moral of the story is don't post pics that violate Lit's rules, such as, no Copyrighted material, no watermarks on the pic just to name a few.
