this wasn't a debate question, just a simple status question...

And then it was most often done with out anesthesia, under the delusion that infants can't feel pain.
The operation should be performed by a surgeon without administering anaesthetic, as the pain attending the operation will have a salutary effect upon the mind, especially if it be connected with the idea of punishment

I've had both and I definitely prefer cut.
Certainly any lady is entitled to her preference. But, to hear a woman say it is a bit like a man saying "I prefer women to have their clitoral hood removed. It is cleaner."
I have never met a man who, having the choice, would cut off a sensitive part of his penis. [I am aware they do exist. They are just rare]. There is something odd about our society that since no adult would do it, we foist this unnecessary procedure on newborn babies.

I have only experienced cut cocks.
I've read through this with fascination as a mother, though, as I did my research while pregnant with my first and decided, along with my cut-cocked husband, to leave my two boys' perfect little penises alone. I understand this to be increasingly common in my area although not yet the norm. My mom was aghast, and even their pediatrician disapproved and seems uneducated on matters of the foreskin, so I do still occasionally question whether I made the right choice.
Anyway, this thread made me feel good about that decision, so thanks to all who contributed.
