Roy Moore

Evolution is bigoted so don't study it too closely.

God says we were all created equally. Evolution says we all evolved differently.

It was all in my post. ISIS threatened former US servicemen and vetteman peed himself in fear, and begged Laurel to delete his posts so he wouldn't get killed by ISIS.

After years of talking like a tough guy here on Lit, he showed his true colors by how he went out, like a cowardly pussy.

I'm not disputing you, but that doesn't make any sense. Assuming they could even get here, how would ISIS find and identify him through forum posts? Anyone has a far greater risk of being targeted by ISIS simply by sitting in a cafe in Paris.

Don't insult pussies. He couldn't endure for one day what the average pussy takes.

Moore is a terrible candidate, which explains why republicans love him so much.

I had to laugh at the Donald Dipshit deleting his tweets supporting Moore this morning. '

Right wingers love historical revisionism.

Trump believes in his pea brain that if he deletes it, he can more easily deny he said it. (Because nobody ever saves screen shots of his tweety tweets.) Or maybe someone I thought was incapable of being embarrassed (Trump) actually is. He is "vewy vewy" fickle when it comes to loyalty to anyone other than himself.

Of course it doesn't make sense. Vette was off his rocker for years. His delusional cowardice made him think he was actually in danger.

Pretty funny stuff.

Moore won a primary limited to registered Gups. Surprise!

Moore will win in November, elected by Alabamans not yet disenfranchised.

Some guys have all the luck. But which Decalogue will he post?

It will be interesting to see how this divergence within the republican party will play out.
 Divergence? This is the republican party!

Remember Herman Cain? His statements that muslims wouldn't server in his cabinet or the supreme court and that Muslims had implemented sharia law in NJ?
Many in the GOP denounced him for those statements.

Moore has said Muslims shouldn't be allowed to serve in congress, homosexuality should be criminalized, muslim communities in IL are ruled by sharia (which he's right in saying would violate the constitution) yet he says if there's a conflict between the constitution and god's law, he will follow god's law and doesn't care if banning muslims from congress is blatantly unconstitutional.

And what do we hear from the GOP? Crickets.

Republicans love theocracy, as long as it's Christian theocracy.

In general that's true. Of course there are exceptions. There was actually a Christian publication that denounced Cain for saying communities should be able to pass laws preventing the building of mosques.
Of course, I guess they could have been actual followers of Christ which would make them leftist progressive socialist commies.

More Moore

  • Moore placed a Ten Commandments monument on the grounds of the Alabama Supreme Court without notifying any of his colleagues, then refused to remove it even after he lost a Supreme Court case and was ordered to. He lost his seat on the Alabama supreme court over it.

  • “We’re having prayers [by] atheists? We’re having Wiccans say prayers? How foolish can we be?” Moore asked in 2014, in response to people in Hunstville, Alabama, being allowed to pray before city council meetings. “There is one God and it’s the God on which this nation was founded. And it’s the God of the scriptures.”

  • In 2015, he ordered Alabama judges to defy a 2015 U.S. Supreme Court ruling and instead enforce their “ministerial duty” by refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses. He lost his seat on the Alabama Supreme Court again over this. Because he was reelected in 2014. Yeah. Somehow he was permanently banned from the Alabama SC. Must be why he ran for Senate.

  • “I want to see virtue and morality returned to our country and God is the only source of our law, liberty and government,” - he is known for making up legal doctrine to conform with his literalist interpretation of the Old Testament

  • Homosexual behavior is a ground for divorce, an act of sexual misconduct punishable as a crime in Alabama, a crime against nature, an inherent evil, and an act so heinous that it defies one’s ability to describe it.”

He writes Abortion Poetry:

America the Beautiful, or so you used to be,
Land of the Pilgrims’ pride, I’m glad they’re not here to see,
Babies piled in dumpsters, abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty, your house is on the sand.

Your children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea this Nation has turned away,
From the teaching of God’s Law, and a need to always pray.

Just because most of the politicians that rode the tea party wave into office have been brought to heel by the republican establishment doesn't mean that the sentiments of the people that put them there have dissipated.

Sounds like Zipman was truly traumatized by Vetteman. You'd think his hate and desire for revenge would have generated at least a plausible scenario for insulting Vetteman's depart.:)

Nah, it wasn't vetteman who traumatized little nipper so ravishingly that he still hasn't recovered all this way into his middle-agedness...

Go ahead, nippy: tell him that story about your mommy, you, and the World Trade Center.

Bagheads, deplorables, Tromp's base, have been carefully nurtured on decades of bullshit propaganda and impossible promises. They're mad as hell and they won't take it anymore -- except they DO take it up the ass, continually, voting against their own interests to try to punish others. Scapegoats mean YOU aren't quite the lousiest SOB around.

It doesn't help that the corporate establishment and its owned politicians have royally screwed-over most Americans. Protections, wiped away, allowing ever-more concentration of power and wealth. Once-vibrant cities lie gutted. Jobs went away, along with hopes, futures, adequacy. GAWD must hate them.

Moore is no corporatist. He's a feudalist. Probably has BIRTH OF A NATION cued on his iPhone. Of course he has a theme song:
When I was young, I used to wait
On Massa, and serve him his plate
And fill his cup when he got dry
And brush away the blue-tail fly
Good servants are SO hard to find. Best to buy-em young and train-em well. Let-em learn the old slave songs. Hey boy, where are the minstrels playing?

So, you knew Vetteman as well? I thought you just arrived here. Amazing.

She is an old soul. Sucked up to the "right" peeps. Learnt all the secret secrets, alts and peeps. Sez and repeats all the correct leftist dogma. Came in here sucking up and learnin by damn. Sez the right things in the proper circles, pretty much owns the fucking place by now. Just agree to pay for her next abortion and she will love you ad naseum. Tell her you love her red hair and latest AV.

Or don't....

Yet Roy Moore was selected as their candidate and will likely win.
The GOP is the majority of congress and they are silent and little is said by their constituents.

'TWAS just a primary but thanks for preparing. At the very least, we know your small mindset.

Has Moore weighed in on the Las Vegas attack yet? I'm sure he'll be very insightful.

I don't agree with everything he says, but I also don't disagree with everything. If I were POTUS, I would never nominate a militant Muslim - or a militant member pf any religion - to anything and, If I were a member of the Senate, I would vote against any such person who was nominated. I would, especially, vote against any Muslim who was nominated to SCOTUS or any other judicial position.

As for Sharia Law in NJ: http://nation.foxnews.com/justice/2010/08/06/sharia-law-comes-new-jersey

I would probably never personally vote for any Muslim for anything, including dog catcher. Even so, I don't believe they should be banned from any elective position. I would attach no value to "God's law" unless it also happened to be the law of the land.

He wasn't talking about "militant" Muslims. And just because you're also a religious bigot doesn't mean that Moore isn't, or that it's ok that he is.

That's not Sharia law, that's a dumbass judge doing what the GOP wants, "religious freedom".

See above regarding religious bigot.
