How can I get feedback on something?

I’m new here and to writing as well. I’m working on a story now. I got through the first 1000 words very quickly, but I feel like I’d like to get some feedback on it. I’m not really sure how to write stories/books. So is there a place here to post things like that? Thanks a lot.

Not really. You either submit and seek feedback, or you seek out an editor to review your draft before you submit. There isn't a "feedback on early drafts" space on Lit.
