Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell on Saturday slammed Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for stalking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after the two female lawmakers engaged in a confrontation in Congress earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Greene confronted Ocasio-Cortez outside the lower chamber in the latest hostile encounter between the two congresswomen, according to the Washington Post. During the incident, Greene was heard saying "Hey Alexandria" twice, before loudly calling Black Lives Matter and Antifa "terrorist" organizations. She reportedly also called the progressive lawmaker a "radical socialist" who doesn't "care about the American people."

In an appearance on CNN earlier today, Swalwell told host Jim Acosta, "I was a prosecutor. I've convicted people for less on stalking charges. I mean she is following Ms. Ocasio-Cortez around for years, trying to engage with her. She just needs to let it go. She's just not that into you Marjorie Taylor Greene. I'm sorry."

Ocasio-Cortez walked away as she was berated by Greene on Wednesday, prompting Greene to call her a "coward" and "chicken" to reporters nearby.

Pelosi criticized Greene over the incident in a press conference on Thursday, calling it "verbal assault and abuse of our colleague." The House Speaker also suggested that the Ethics Committee should investigate Greene for causing "trauma and fear among members."

"It's so beyond the pale of anything that is in keeping with bringing honour to the House," she said. "This is beneath the dignity of a person serving in Congress."

Ocasio-Cortez compared Greene's "intimation" to the "kinds of people that I threw out of bars all the time" on Thursday.

Some constituents of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) are not happy with their QAnon-believing congresswoman after she compared public health advocates to Nazis earlier this week.

Speaking with CNN, Greene constituent Nancy Jones said that she didn't vote for the congresswoman last year despite the fact that she's a Republican -- and she's done nothing so far to make her regret her vote.

"I'm ashamed that lady is representing my district in Congress," she said. "I think she's ignorant. She has no clue."

Even some constituents who did vote for Greene last year told CNN that they're squeamish about her latest remarks comparing vaccine passports to yellow stars that Nazis forced Jews to wear in the leadup to the Holocaust.

MTG is the dumbest.member of Congress.

I'd say that depends on whether or not she really believes everything she says. Could be she's just following the Ann Coulter business model of aiming ever deeper in the gutter, because there's no such thing as going too far on the right.

Extremist and dangerous. Non-thinking blathering idiot. Not fit for public office or any other professional position.

She could be sent to a professional for help, I would encourage that in any case.

Not a bad idea.

She's now saying that if volunteers or government workers go around Alabama and knock on doors and ask about their vaccination status that the residents of Alabama should just shoot them.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) repeatedly supported disturbing conspiracy theories and liked social media posts that suggested executing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and FBI agents, among others, according to several media reports published Tuesday.

Media Matters for America, a progressive watchdog group, first reported that Greene, a far-right firebrand who was recently elected to Congress, had endorsed fringe conspiracy theories on Facebook in 2018 that suggested former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton murdered a child during a satanic ritual.

CNN’s KFile later found other troubling activity on Greene’s personal Facebook page after reviewing hundreds of her posts and comments. In January 2019, Greene liked a comment that said it would be “quicker” to remove Pelosi from office with a “bullet to the head.” On another post from April 2018, a commenter asked her if “H & O” — referring to former President Barack Obama and Clinton — should be hanged.

“Stage is being set,” Greene replied, according to the archives obtained by CNN. “Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off.”

Greene has embraced the conspiracy theory woven by QAnon, joining an unhinged cult that believes Democrats, the media elite and powerful people in Hollywood are engaged in a child trafficking ring, imprisoning children in dungeons run by Satan worshipers. Followers of the movement — which has no basis in reality — believed former President Donald Trump was battling those rogue elements and that an anonymous person or group named Q had left clues across the internet about Trump’s efforts battling the “deep state.”

Greene has faced several calls for her resignation in the weeks since her election, most recently after Media Matters reported that she agreed with comments calling the massacre of high school students in Parkland, Florida, a “false flag” operation. Students who survived that Feb. 14, 2018, attack have called for her to step down from Congress.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a public servant and victim of a media smear campaign because she speaks the truth.

Dangerous extremist is a little extreme for the other half of the public servant option. But, 'dangerous extremist' may apply to the squad and Cori Bush. They have all made threats and made sure they did it on air. We have seen them profess. Unlike Greene where she never said the things accused of. The stories are just perpetuated by people like you and by the media what they think they heard someone in the media say.

Recently Marjorie Taylor Greene lashed out at thirteen Republicans that she called "traitors" because they voted for the recent infrastructure bill. She claimed that providing much-needed funds for American infrastructure is evidence of creeping "communism."

That led Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger to mock Taylor Greene for her freak-out.

"Infrastructure=communism is a new one," Kinzinger retorted. "Eisenhower's interstate system should be torn up or else the commies will be able to conveniently drive!"

Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't live on the same planet as the rest of us.

On her planet, California wildfires are caused by laser beams from outer space, mass school shootings, like Parkland and the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, were "false flag" events, Hillary Clinton is running a child sex-trafficking ring out of the basement of a Washington pizza restaurant, Jews are pushing migration into Europe to replace white populations, Jewish billionaire George Soros turned over fellow Jews to Nazis, Soros is actually a Nazi and President Obama is a Muslim.

This woman shouldn't be in Congress. She should be in a psychiatric ward and under constant supervision by mental health professionals.

"Infrastructure=communism is a new one," Kinzinger retorted. "Eisenhower's interstate system should be torn up or else the commies will be able to conveniently drive!"

It's really not a new one, though. Back in the '50s and '60s, that era's MTGs considered Eisenhower a communist (yes, in part due to the interstate highway system, an idea he got from a fascist government as it happened...).
