MEN of literotica that like cook...........ing.

I do all of the cooking at our house. My wife doesn’t like to cook and since our relationship is female led, I do all of the cooking. I was a cook many years ago- not a chef- but a line cook so I learned how to make a lot of dishes.

I like making breakfast for my wife, while she’s in bed. I’ll bring her hot cereal or an omelette and a cup of coffee on a tray. It turns me on to serve her this way. I always deliver it perfectly square in the tray with the spoon or fork facing her.

I do admit that it’s a lot of pressure to get dinner going every night and come up with meal ideas. I thought working at home would make that easier but it’s not the case.

I especially like making her her favorite meals. She always loves a good stew type dish, stroganoff or goulash w spetzle. I like to make tomato sauce and soups from scratch and make the house smell good all day.

So, a little leftover Thanksgiving ham, some fresh veggies, a couple of scrambled eggs, some rice, and VOILA! we have a...

kitty glass full of cold milk.

More Thanksgiving leftovers.

Ham and Cheese casserole. I didn't get enough Beschemel in there so it was a little crumbly. It still tasted divine.

Enchiladas Rancheras and Mexican rice.

About 15 mins prep time, 20 in the oven while the rice is cooking.

Sorry, no kitty glass tonight.

Dinner For Dessert

Long ago I discovered that with most women if I cooked the dinner they wld provide the dessert, mmmmm... I still love to cook even though the adage no longer holds true w my wife...
Pic One: Classic guy meal plate: grilled pork chop, seasoned red potatoes, green beans w bacon and onion...
Pic Two: Stir fried spicy chicken and vegetables in a red wine sauce, serve over rice...

And now for something totally different...

I don't cook fish. Like never. But they had some Rockfish on sale so I scored a few fillets. My original idea was just to pan-sear
them and be done but at the last minute
I changed it up. I put some tortilla chips in the chopper and made an egg and flour dredge. (the dredge was too thick but it was my first try).
I then threw them in a hot skillet and hoped for the best. The presentation isn't great but the fish was excellent!

Butter chicken. Cut up chicken, toss in a pan, add a jar of sauce and simmer. Make rice.
Easy/lazy

I had to spend the last week doing a roof repair so no cooking by me lately. Instead, once I'm done abusing my body for the day I've been watching You Boob videos and compiling a list of ingredients and other stuff I need to buy. Then we'll see what happens; could be tasty, could be a 911 call to the fire dept.

Friday is our annual prime rib dinner. Had to bump it up a week because of children and logistics. It was a little pricey this year. My 9lb "prime" bone in rib roast cost around $17.99 per. It has a nice untrimed fat cap. I'm thinking of using those trimmings for a yorkshire, while the meat rests. We shall see.

For some reason, I clicked on a video of Jacques Pépin making a fried egg last evening. This morning, I used his technique. I like it. A nice tender egg white and a perfectly cooked egg yolk.

Breakfast?

I can do breakfast. Even while working this morning I had time to make eggs over medium with aged cheddar, bacon, and 7 grain toast.

I think it lasted all of 30 seconds after snapping the pic. (Maybe only 28 seconds, I was hungry.)

I've been a huge fan of Jacques for years. He holds a special place in my house.
When I was young, my Mom and I would watch him and Julia on PBS every day. My love of food and cooking is directly related to all three of those human beings.

I looked into buying some of his original artwork about 8 years ago. I should of got it, his art is sky rocking in value.
