When a sperm fertilizes an egg the developing cells have a new DNA that is different from the male and the female. For that reason it is alien DNA and the females immune system should destroy it. But it does not. In the highly complex universe of a cell there is a very advanced 'chemical communication' system. That system sends a chemical message to mom. The message is not "happy mothers day." But what is the message?

If you already know what the message is it would probably make you think twice before you decide to do what the immune system refuses to do once it gets the message.

If you don't already know the answer to the question you probably will not take time to look it up. Because you have probably long ago discovered that ignorance is bliss.

Sorry that this is more than one paragraph. I have noted that some are bothered if a thread requires reading more than a basic line or two. I am so sorry if this offends some. I have this problem because I keep thinking that the Lit part of Literotica has something to do with writing. Perhaps others feel that the website would be better served with a name like Idiotica.

The construction or addition of one or more genes gives us a superior intellect and we have no idea what a whole 1% would do. We still can't quantify or qualify the effects of gene structure because there is nothing to compare to. We've sequenced the genome of what exist, however, I believe we still don't know where the leap in intellect comes in and why, or how. We can change a known gene and compare it's effect to the original and hypothesize about other changes but we cannot rearrange a genetic sequence to make us super smart because that would have to be experimented with millions of evaluated results. That would be like trying to build something without a concept. Just my humble opinion.
