I never said it was socialism....I'm saying their actions are not representative of the economic liberalism/capitalism they talk about.

Not having un-American socialism oppressing people so we can all be equally poor and starving to death isn't the problem.....we've done better in a remarkable number of ways than any other civilization/society in recorded history without it. Including all the biggest and best names in socialism.

Not because they're smaller, because they are economically oppressive with their high degree of socialistic policy. You're not allowed to have a high degree of success....the state will come and take it from you.

Less drive to be an overachiever in that environment, unlike America where being the biggest dog with the biggest bankroll IS the dream. It's not even about the money for most of us, it's about making more than the sum' bitch next to you and rubbing his face in it.

I find that hard to considering the levels and varieties of accolades/awards/money/admiration we give people for achievement in damn near every facet and interest within our societies. From garden clubs garden of the month to the Olympics.

It is an attitude that ultimately reduces all of life to a contest, which it need not and should not be. A family is a better model for a society than a marketplace or a sport.
