Where's our esteemed curator? I'm ready for a new challenge!
Sorry, I probably should have said something. I didn't want to drop a challenge on everyone the day before Thanksgiving. I myself spent all day yesterday cooking and eating. I just finished making my famous turkey soup with the leftovers. I will try to find a new challenge tonight.
Thank you for your patience.
Also, if anyone has a suggestion for the next challenge, PM me.
Sorry to keep you lovely ladies waiting.
Challenge #11 is Sleeping Bather, by Renoir:

I just love the blissful look on her face.
The draping is pretty and goes very nice with the model and her pose.
THAT IS THE ONE, GREAT PIC!![]()
What it lacks in drapery, it makes up for in other regions. Very classy indeed.
Nume,
All of your images are beautiful; but as an artist who works exclusively in black and white I find the second image of you exceptional. Thank you for sharing.
You could have joined me on the beach wearing that sarong Numi. I'm not sure those are beach accessories though.![]()
Aw, that's really lovely, JRP. Do you think it's bathing she's been doing? Or....![]()
I was wondering that myself. There doesn't seem to be a bathtub in sight. Perhaps "bathing" was a Renaissance euphemism for pleasuring oneself?![]()
If that's the case, feel free to "bathe" before you take your picture so as to properly replicate that blissful look.![]()
I think the use of the word bathing in the tittle of paintings was just an excuse for depicting ladies with their kit off in the early 19th C.![]()
I don't have the towel or whatever it is, and you'll have to trust me on the blissful look. But I can do the arm stretch even if it makes mine almost disappear.

Thank you sweet and sexy Icy,
This is great. I knew it would look so nice.
I can only say Mmmmm.....
Thank you lovely sweet sexy lady![]()
Thank you JPEmmy! I missed this at first. Your first LWoA pose, and let me say, you are a work of art. Beautiful!![]()
Ohhhhterrific Emmy!
I ate all my apples so I used a pear and I don't own a hand mirror so it's a penlight in my left hand, but you can't really see it, so no matter!
JR, my knees thank you for his pose!!![]()
Venus of Aries goes to the beach.

I'm one behind here. I'm still crouching. Tali, Mara and Icy, I take my hat off to each of you. This was the hardest yet, both in terms of holding the pose, and in getting to something I felt confident enough in to post.
Gulp.
I have three renditions of this.
This one is the closest to the pose, I think:

This one is from above and behind (and filtered hugely):

And this one is kind of an outtake, when I couldn't hold the pose on my legs and overbalanced, but I think it's actually a much better position for me

Sneaking in under the wire...
Here's my Venus of Aries. Not my best work, I feel, my draping is not optimal, a bit 'columnar'...

This so made me smile on this yuck rainy day here.
And its a great sexy pose, love it.
