Jasleena Legacy was the most unorthodox wildcard field agent they had. Tats and long black hair with blue and purple and burgundy colors blended through it. She had a tendency to leave more bodies than most of the other agents combined but she got results in some of the most hostile areas and resistant and combative people on the planet.

Enter the fairly easy going straight laced linguistics analyst desk jockey. His job was simple aid the agent and attempt to keep the body count to a minimum if at all possible without pissing the agent off. He was expecting an all business if not maybe a little hardcore guy not the beautiful woman with the with a Mac 10 aimed at the crotch of some poor crony of the most recent dictator to take over the mountainous region of some tourist trap island.

She held out the suede lined leather collar with that same unamused stare.

You want to go with me when I meet my contact them you will be the same obedient little shit you are for those stuffed shirts in command put this collar on and quit whining. You go in there with your way of handling things you won't leave in one piece and if you do it will be because I had to blow up one of my best contacts business because you just had to walk in and start asking questions.

She took his band and slapped the leather collar into it.

Now... Put it on!

First call into director Jacobs office was a report that Legacy's methods were about to cause an international incident... Again. Director Jacobs hung up the call and covered his face with his hands briefly in aggravation before placing a call. A linguistics agent who had asked him before about field work some time. What better way to see if he was field material than to see if he could keep up with Legacy and possibly reign her in on this assignment... Whichever one she had taken on. As the phone rang he stared out the window.

Richard Jordan graduated at the top of his high school and his college classes. The agency started recruiting him when he was a Sophomore in college. When he graduated with degrees in mathematics and linguistics, the agency put on the full court press and made him an offer he would not be able to refuse. He started working right away, and found his job interesting, at first.

Jordan had to provide support to field agents. It was his job to get them the intel they needed to successfully execute their missions. Recently, he had been moved to providing information for a new agent. Well, the agent wasn't new, it was just a new assignment for Jordan. He found out that he had been assigned to this agent because the agent was a little out of control....well, maybe more than a little.

Recently, Jordan had been bugging the director to go out into the field. He was constantly told that he had no experience in field work. Jordan countered that what he lacked in field experience, he could make up in smarts. It hadn't worked. His time was spent working to keep the crazy agent alive by providing him with the best possible intelligence. It wasn't easy, because the agent was constantly throwing curves.

While sitting at his desk going through encrypted messages from all over the globe, Jordan received a phone call. The call was from Director Jacobs. Jordan was about to get his wish. He was going into the field with one singular task..... get his field agent under control.

He rushed home, grabbed a bag, and headed for JFK Airport. The next thing he knew he as on a private plane to meet with the agent he had only communicated with through messages. He had no idea what he was getting into.

The private agency plane flew to the Island. Little of the outside civilian world knew more about it than it was covered in expensive if not exclusive resorts. One resort in particular tended to be a safe house for field agents. However their main problem aside from the various warring factions high in the mountains was now an agent they knew well currently holding a Mac 10 to the crotch of some crony of the latest warlord to spring up. She had commandeered the private dining room and while local authorities were able to get in she was not going to release the man to them till she had the answers she wanted.

The officer waited by the Jeep to hurry the person the agency had sent to help with Legacy. Once they were in the jeep he looked over as be sped through the village streets to the resort.

Legacy does not trust the new commander of the police force here. So will not release the prisoner to us until all questions are answered. The prisoner Legacy questions does seem to know the commander which I think is what set some of this stand off in motion. We have dealt with Legacy before but new commander unwilling to listen to us... He is very proud man.

Jordan got out of the Jeep and waited for someone to come out of the resort. Once again, he was filled in on what was going on. He had to admit to himself that Legacy's actions were not surprising to him. In fact, he had to admit that the actions that were being described to him were quite normal for what he had come to expect from legacy.

When he was ushered into the resort, Jordan took in the lay of the land. Being in the field was new to him, but he thought for sure that he should know where everything was situated. Then, he waited by the door to the dining room.

The doors to the dining room were opened, and a man motioned for Jordan to enter. When he went into the room, Jordan looked around, and was shocked to see that a woman was holding the Mac 10. Could it be? Was Legacy a woman? This was something that he never expected.

He moved closer to Legacy. "Hi, my name is Richard Jordan. The agency sent me to help you out. What can I do to be of assistance to you?" He looked over her...still in shock....impressed with her beauty and her incredible body. He shook his head to get those thoughts out of his head.

Hearing the man talk she laughed.

Yeah get me a decent cup of coffee a jeep battery and some jumper cables. Then get these annoying locals out of my hair.

Her eyes never left her prey.

Time for round two. The threat of castration by lead didn't loosen your tongue maybe my next trick will.

Jordan was taken aback by her response. He paused for a second.

"Tell me what you need. Don't be a smart ass. I can help you. Just give me a chance. You are not going to help anything if you shoot his dick off."

He waited for her response. He had tried to act like a tough guy. He had no idea how it would be received by her.

"we have communicated before Legacy. Just never in this format. I have helped you in the past. Let me help you here."

A cup of decent coffee a jeep battery and jumper cables.

Her tone was calm.

I know who you are Jordan... You are one of Jacobs desk jockeys. If you happen to speak the mountain tongue from around here ask this miserable little yes man to General Maloroan where the villagers are that they took.

Jordan spoke to one of the men and, in the native language, instructed him to get coffee for the woman. "I would hate to tell you what will happen to you if you don't get it quickly."

He turned and walked out of the dining room, and went to the Jeep in which he rode from the airport. He found the tool kit and the jumper cables in the back of the Jeep. he then proceeded to remove the battery from the Jeep. Carrying the tools, cables and battery back into the dining room, he sat them on the floor near Legacy.

Speaking to the guy that looked like he was in charge in the local language, Jordan asked him where the villagers had been taken. When the man hesitated, Jordan told him that he had less than a minute to answer or there would be something really bad that would happen to him.

The look she had seen before passed again from the target and the new police commander. Which prompted her setting up the battery which st least got the Mac 10 out of her hands and now hanging by her side.

You better answer him boy.

Tapping the two free ends of the cables together was they crackled and sparked.

Jordan looked at the man. Once again, speaking in th elocal tongue, "I don't think the lady is playing around. If the answer doesn't come in 30 seconds, I think she is going to send some electricity surging through a place where it shouldn't really go."

He wasn't sure why, but he smiled after he said it. Maybe he thought it would put extra emphasis on what he said. "Time is up." He looked back at Legacy. "I gave him enough time to answer.

You ask too many questions.

She stalked over.

Villagers... Where?

Within less than a three count the cables were tapped against his arm one on the upper arm one on the wrist.

That arm will be useless for a while. Villagers... Where?

Less than a three count each time till all limbs were useless.

You know what... He's all yours we will find them ourselves!

With that she clamped the cables onto his belt buckle and sac through his pants downed her coffee and walked out as if nothing happened.

Alright which of the agency big wigs sent you? And pray tell why? No wait let me guess not enough info in the reports? Or did I miss one of their birthdays while getting shot at for those pencil dicks? Or maybe it's not me maybe it's you...

She stopped and crossed her arms looking him up and down before grabbing a beer off a passing tray.

What could you have done to make them saddle me with a desk jockey? Broke up with the bosses daughter? Nah... Too easy...messed up deputy director Franklin's coffee order... Pompous prick that he is?

Jordan followed her out of the dining room; listening to the barrage of questions that she fired his way. He was still in a bit of shock that the agent he had been working with was a female. It had never crossed his mind.... maybe that was why she was so effective.... people would never imagine that the things being done were being done by a female, not a male.

"First of all... I am on your side. I am here to help... just like I helped you from behind that desk that you so easily mock. Why am I here... I don't have a definite answer on that. I have been asking for the opportunity to get out into the field for quite a while... going back to before I worked with you. I got a phone call yesterday to pack a bag, and here I am."

He watched her down the beer. He checked out the tattoos on her arms. "Did I piss someone off? Maybe. Did you piss a lot of people off? Oh, definitely. Am I here to be your babysitter? Hell, I would never consider that. You are too good for that. I am just here to help you in any way I can."

Well then... We have work to do... Lets hope you can keep up. Do they even send non field agents through physical training?

Setting the empty bottle on the next passing tray she laughed and headed out of the resort and into the village.

Hungry? I know a great little place that's always filled with answers... I mean food... Great food.

As she walked along she pulled out a nighthawk Ladyhawk modified for 40 cal bullets and checked it then put it back away then tossing the Mac 10 into a truck waking a rather vicious looking wolf mix.

Get in.

She moved around to the drivers side and climbed in. The dog watching him growling.

Mia shut the hell up he's with us.

The wolf snorted and backed away from the door sitting in the middle between them.

"Don't worry about my physical training. I am in great shape. Follow a program similar to agency PT in my own daily workouts. Like I said, I have been asking to get out into the field. I wanted to be ready if I got the opportunity."

He followed her out to her truck and climbed in when she called the dog back. As she drove, he looked around and took in the terrain. HE realized that he was here with the Agency's best, and most dangerous agent, and he did not have a weapon. Of course, now wasn't the time to bring that up to her.

The wolf mix studied him carefully unsure about the occupant taking up her seat.

So tell me about yourself Jordan? What makes anyone want to vet into the field outside of being damn good at killing?

"I am the smartest person you will ever meet. Being a field agent isn't all about killing. Sometimes it is about being able to avoid situations in which you might get killed."

He looked at the dog between them. It was still checking him out. Jordan was certain that the dog would kill for Legacy.

"I didn't expect to get sent into the field without any training at all. Somebody thought it was a good idea. Not me, though. I can handle the intelligence angle as long as you continue to be good at doing what you do."

Let's hope you can stomach what I do.

She pulled up in front of a little cantina and hopped out of the truck.

Theo... Wondered when you would cross my path again!

She was smiling... The same predatory smile she had in the dining room earlier. The man that looked up paled and tried to run but she was slightly faster. Grabbing his shirt and pulling him close with an srm wrapped around his neck.

No need to run let's grab a bite to eat and catch up on the neighborhood... Got it!

Jordan watched her chase down the guy and drag him back to the cantina.

This is certainly going to be interesting, he thought to himself as he walked in behind them.

He sat down at a table as Legacy forced the guy into a chair across from him. Jordan was still getting the lay of the land, so, he had no idea who this guy was, or why he would have run from her.

Legacy sat next to Jordan. He watched as she began to grill the guy while they waited for someone to come and take their order. He listened closely, trying to get info on what was going on.

H... Hey... Hey Leena... I... I don't know much... Who's the suit?

Theo clearly wanted to run for his life but fear also seemed to weld him to the chair. An elderly man walked over.

Our Leena you bring guest... I just bring food for now then take order when you are done with conference.

He set down two local beers.

Theo answer our Leena or no beer.

With that he hobbled away calling to the kitchen cor them to start bringing out meats and fruits and chips.

Theo... You always know plenty so start talking what's the latest mountain slime doing that he needs to round up villagers?

Jordan started to understand that Legacy had some friends in the locals. It explained why she was so interested in what had happened to the villagers. He also gained some knowledge of her real name.. or at least the name the locals used for her.

He let the beer sit in front of him as he watched Legacy put pressure on the guy she called Theo. Jordan had a feeling that Theo was going to be giving Legacy all the information he had.

Leena.... I... I...

You what Theo?

She raised a brow. Her tone dropping as she spoke.

Slime like that would just kill you... I can make your life and suffering long and creative. Now tell me what he is doing its really simple I will even start the sentence for you...

He needs the villagers because of...

Theo looked to Jordan for a moment till the old man brought over a plate of appetizers and a knife which Legacy picked up twirling around in her hand before she threw it toward a window landing in the throat of a uniformed soldier aiming a rifle at Theo.

Now care to answer me

Jordan spoke to Theo in the local language despite the fact that Theo obviously knew how to speak and understand English. "There is no need to look at me. She is obviously in charge and you know what she wants. Give it to her and you won't suffer, and, she just saved your life."

He sat and waited for Theo to finish Leena's sentence.

They.... They opened the mines.

Theo finally spoke.

She nods.

Get out of my face you annoy me.

Theo ran quickly and the old man walked over cleaning knife.

You okay Leena? And why no answer who suit is... He stand out. I took Mia her beef leg... She happy girl.

Jordan looked from the guy to Leena when he said that Jordan was standing out because of the way he was dressed.

Without saying a word, Jordan got up and and walked outside to the truck. He grabbed his bag and went into the bathroom. He changed out of his suit and into something more appropriate for the setting.

After coming out of the bathroom, Jordan gave the suit to an elderly man sitting at a table across the room from where Leena was. "Use it or sell it," he said to the man in the local language. Jordan then rejoined Legacy. He looked at the guy as he sat down, "better?"

They both chuckled as the old man just nodded and let him on the shoulder and smiled.

Gods be with you American... With our Leena... You'll need it.

Leena just shook her head.

I'm not that bad Mamood. Compliments to your wife for all the good food.
